That's no reason to stop giving us news though, that just means they need to get a clue when designing their books and try not to Jervisify them.
That's the point. Nobody can prove it sold so poorly. GW isn't going to admit it sold poorly by giving us a "Top 10 Codex in terms of retail sales" list to peruse and discuss and argue about.
Dakka does not represent the majority (or in fact all) of the 40k players in the world. I am the only one in my group brave enough to post and read Dakka and I can tell you right now there is one other player in my group who likes the newest CSM codex.
Prove to me that for every 1 that likes it 2 hate it. Polls on dakka might show that but again Dakka is NOT home to EVERY 40K CSM PLAYER IN THE WORLD.
Yikes.
Wow, that was so OT.
On topic I don't think it's a huge stretch to expect like 8 plastic gargoyles in the new BF.

I kinda wish they'd come in boxes of at least 10, 8 doesn't seem appropriate for a horde army. Actually 10 isn't either, but what are you gonna do...

I agree at the very least 10 each would be MUCH better. I mean the guants are a pretty small mini, I very much doubt adding 4 total for the same price will bankrupt the company.

Oh so much speculation...lay off on it. Does anyone think that flaming each other about something not on retail YET is gonna give a free sneak-peak into its contents? Or making up "respectable sources" just for the sake of proving a point is gonna advance the release date?
Try and at least respect each other, guys!
Its coming out in 20 days anyway, enough to finish painting your pre-existing 'Nid armies.

Guess which one is more likely?

GW cares not from where the money flows, only that it does.
But yeah, I know the gaunts come in sprues of 4, I was just saying...personally I hope they do 12 gaunt boxes for the same price as boyz/Cadians as opposed to a measly 8. That's practically a slap in the face, but you know GW will do it anyway...
What's even worse is, what if they make it 4 terms/hormies per box?

Money/Price creep?
$105 isn't that bad if you think about it. Just adding together all that comes in the battalion box for lets say.... Skaven... it adds to $141.00 without taxes if you buy it all individually. Thats a savings I'd take any day even with a little increase in price. AND I haven't even added in tax for myself being in New York so..... I really hate New York taxes....... anyways battalions are usually always a steal. Automatically Appended Next Post: Sidstyler wrote:GW cares not from where the money flows, only that it does.

I'm on the border myself with the number of models in the kit. 8 would be kind of a bad move on GW especially for an army thats about large numbers (but a price of $22 would be a little easier to swallow I say). I'll just sit back and wait to see what they plan on doing and go from there, I've been wanting to start collecting Nids for a long time and this could be my excuse to start finally.

I reckon that the size of the Gaunt box will be dependent on the minimum unit size in the new codex.
If min unit size is 10+ we'll get boxes of 12.
If min unit size is 5 or 8+ we'll get boxes of 8.

If they come 8 to a $22 box, then expect Gaunts to become pretty rare. That kind of pricing would be criminally high for a small handful of models whose entire purpose is to die, especially when you'll need to use them in units of 20+. Then, Tyranid players will have a core unit that costs 60 dollars before hitting maximim number without even having the decency to be competant killers like Orks. A full squad of Space Marines will still cost $35.

If it's the same content as the current battleforce I'll be happy.
Also, anyone complaining about it going up in price doesn't remember when this box, and the Ogre Kingdoms one, cost something like $120 before they decided to readjust the prices so they all cost $90. It's an instance in which GW lowered prices that everyone seems to want to forget

From my tiny experience, I read that the $90 box was a price drop that made all forces affordable when sales were low for certain races/armies. This fixed $90 for battleforces made each army equally affordable. I also read that they will no longer follow the fixed $90 and provide balanced armies and adjusting the price accordingly, thus making the battleforce boxes between $90-120 which what I believe they did in the past. Now, would this result in people buying more Space Marines than Tau Empire? Or more Necron than Orks? In this economy, I think it wouls affect the sales.
I am also excited to see the contents of the new 'nid battleforce box and looking forward to more plastic models. The days are counting down....
