How did I forget to mention the dreaded Drop Pod?
HOW THE HECK ARE YOU SUPPOSED TO KEEP THE UPPER PARTS IS ONE PIECE.
Fortunantely my friend was willing to assemble it for me.
But I'm afraid to move it since it WILL break down THE VERY SECOND I touch it.

Most annoying models to put together?

Thos models you get from the 'AOBR' model section.
not because they're bad quality. just... I dislike not being able to put them in our own positions.

Also, dreadnoughts need to have Multi-melta's (I realise that it's because they haven't updated them)

I would go with the metal Bloodthirster because the wings and limbs are angled horribly for pinning.

My absolute bane so far is the Krootox, its like a ing Picasso! Its a total piece of . Its not just a fluke either I have three of them and they are all the same! The quality is just terrible.

KingCracker wrote:The worst for me was the basilisk. I put one together about.... 8 years ago (dunno if it has changed) but the instructions were vague at best, and I pretty much would have half of it done, before realizing it was put together wrong lol. That was a righteous pain in the ass.

Other then that, I always hated the oldschool rhinos. They were literally made, to not EVER go together evenly

I just recently bought one of those old rhinos from my FLGS. It was still in box and still on sprue without anything missing. I'm making it a predator since it's got all the pewter bits in it too and it's a complete pain. The turret wasn't unusually hard but the main body took hours and more glue than it should have. I had to quickly glue and then tightly press it together so that it aligned correctly. It amounted to me putting pressure on it from multiple odd angles to bend it into place while it dried. My arms hurt afterward but it worked. I hope the sponsons don't give me too much grief... *looks at them warily*

"I drive a big car, cuz I'm a big star. I'll make a big rock-and-roll hit." "I am a big car, and I'm a strip bar. Some call it fake, I call it good-as-it-gets."

I am both selfish and chaotic. I value self-gratification and control; I want to have things my way, preferably now. At best, I'm entertaining and surprising; at worst, I'm hedonistic and violent.

I'm definately gonna go with Kans and deff dreds when they were pewter. Genius idea GW, take a 2 pound can and balance it on two thin legs. Combine that with the fact that the deff dred didn't come with a base, and I had a problem. Then, I just happened to run out of super glue, I was fuming. I resorted to just using green stuff, and on several occasoins that 2 pound soda can almost went towards the wall. The only thing stopping me was the knoldedge that there were no studs in my house >_<

I think the most flawed designs I've seen are the Elysian infantry. All the bits fit together in very specific ways, and the figures are all hunched over.

Also, good luck modifying their weapons. All the left hands are molded onto the grip of the lasrifle, and the lasrifle is the same piece as the right arm. All the special weapons that come in the Elysian Special Weapon Pack are lose weapons. No molded on arms or hands. Have fun chopping!

It really pissed me off, to be honest, and is probably why I haven;t invested more time, energy and money into the Elysian army I've wanted to do for about... forever. I mean, it's SO obvious. I honestly can't fathom how they overlooked something like that.

Elysians, while un-modifiable, are not hard to put together if you build them the way they are in their packs standard.

On topic though, the worst models I've had the displeasure to work with thus far are;

The Plastic/Pewter Hybrid Land Raider Crusader, the gorramn guns didn't wanna go together and then the hull didn't wanna go together properly either, that fether got thrown across the room. Then it went together.

Pewter/Plastic Hybrid Long Fangs, the things had huge fething gaps between the weapons and the left arms which are supposed to be holding onto them.

The all metal Empire Steam Tank. Any model that takes a 12" ribbon of GS, 3/4 oz of ca glue, a bottle of insta set, 4 screws, and some JB Kwik Weld was just a test to see if I would use duct tape on a model or not.

Every other model Ive worked with you could usually heat, bend or file the ill fitting pieces into behaving

The plastic landspeeder kit with the metal weapons. The metal bits weren't the problem, it was the body. Nothing lined up and there was huge gaps. I hated it so much I took it of my army and haven't fielded one since.

Well when your dad buys a nice house and threatens your life if you ever intentionally mess it up, you kinda think before you just throw a solid pewter can through a wall.

Also, I'd have to agree with the OOP devistators, not only were the weapon combinations completely stupid but they seemed to be porrly produced.

Another one that annoyed me was my OOP whirlwind, even when assembled , it wants to pop a wheelie and look stupid in the middle of combat. I love having the model though especiall after I repainted it.

I've had hundreds of models that have given me hell - the worst was a Rebel Grot vehicle (Cutta, I believe) that went together relatively easily, but when I was looking down the mast to make sure it wasn't warped I managed to glue the crows nest to my eyelid....

The problems I've always found are gluing plastic to metal or vice-versa... the old dire avengers and the storm guardians are a pet hate of mine.

Indeed it does.

Ok, I got another one. The valkyrie's door guns are ridiculously fragile, and prompted me to replace them with tripod mounts.

Yeah, the HWT tripod guns work fine if you put the long leg towards the door, touching the wall, and one of the short legs touching the same wall towards the cockpit. Just don't glue the bolters to the tripods, and they rotate fine.
