Amusingly, those look much like a commercial jetpack a company is selling:
http://www.engadget.com/2010/03/10/martin-jetpack-priced-at-86-000-mere-mortals-will-soon-be-able/

Plans for this year: Sell house, buy heavy armor, jetpack, chainsword and bolt pistol. Death from above!

Pyriels best work so far. Excellent (and for the first time in history Chapterhouse actually beats MaxMini).
I like them large. Old tech should be bulky.
If I was a Marine player I would buy some (and I might end up buying anyway).

Dunno, its kinda also the first time ever the two companies are making the same thing too.

I'll be using them for my truescale marines so I say the bigger the better...although they seem to be perfect for normal sized marines as well. The people who think they are too big are just seeing them that way because the marine doesn't have arms.

Keep up the great work and I can't wait till they hit the store!

damn I was all excited thinking they were up already....No kidding I plan on getting 20 for my pre-heresy army I have.

Listen, my children, as I pass onto you the truth behind Willy Wonka and his factory. For every wonka bar ever created in existance, Mr. Wonka sacraficed a single Oompa Loompa to the god of chocolate, Hearshys. Then, he drank the blood of the fallen orange men because he fed them a constant supply of sugary chocolate so they all became diabetic and had creamy, sweet-tasting blood that willy could put into each and every Wonka bar. That is the REAL story behind willy wonka's Slaughter House!

Wow...great job on these.

I've seen the MaxMini ones in person, and they are not nearly as nice as these.

You can probably expect an order of these from me.

Zero.
Its just to tricky to sculpt a flawless seam with only one angle that fits between a round barrel and a rectangular frame in the time I set myself to do it all in.

On the other hand its not that hard to cut away the engines since they will be in resin.

Fresh,

Forgewolrd will be releasing them pretty soon with the new Imperial Armor book. I hate to directly compete with something they already do (unless we can do it nicer and better).

any news on when these are getitng released now? i've got some cash in my pocket right now which needs to be spent on chapterhouse stuff.

The Imperium of Man is able to traverse the Warp with difficulty when their Emperor concentrates from his golden life support machine and lights the way. Unfortunately, because the Emperor has the attention span of the average 5-year-old Pokemon fanboy, this means that many an unfortunate Imperial ship has had the WTF WHERE'D THE LIGHTS GO experience, which in the Warp is invariably fatal.

What happened to the pictures of marines with arms?

Also, if a size comparison with the Maxmini ones could be arranged, I'd be very happy.
(and I guess there's no way of ordering from Pyriel- directly? Would be nice to get them a bit faster with national post.)

I would need the product in hand to do that, I am waiting for the first production run.

Fat chance of a side by side comparison, thats just not good for business relationships

Hehe, I'll have to order a set to see for myself then, but from the look of the pictures, you'll win hands down.
The detail is really fantastic, plus the fact that putton the control pads/airbreaks on the bottom of the pack makes much more sense to both brake and control than having them on the top.

We have had mold making delays on these, they are expected to ship to us next week (the first runs).

Boneswords are shipping as they are produced.

Pretty nice jump pack. Bet it will make quite a few people very happy.

Once you cast the masters, you will want to adjust the holes on them with link up the the backpack. Then do the final production mold(5 backpacks would be a good number for the production mold). Production pieces this small should not have any more than 3% shrinkage unless you use garbage quality silicone.
