So you wont be posting here anymore? Bummer. I only follow dakka threads. Its a pain in the arse to go to a zillion different blogs to see whats new, I much prefer to do it in a community setting.

I use this site WM,

http://www.blogger.com/

It is supposed to be for making your own blog but I haven't yet, it also allows you to subscribe to blogs and collects together all the latest posts, is a lot easier than checking each one individually thats for sure

Will still do updates here! Just also going to be running that a little more consistently because it's nice and neat and I have a bit more control over my images and text.

I've signed up for the From the Warp 'FTW Bloggers Group', The House of Paincakes bloggers group and the main reason for the creation of my own off Dakka Blog, the Badab Bloggers group.

I am a big fan of this latest IA:9 book and the armies contained within. When I heard about this I really wanted to participate which drove me to creating the http://reds-corps.blogspot.com, there are some other pretty cool armies in the group and he has a centrally updating thing which posts everyones latest and greatest each Wed.

Link to it is on the right hand side of my blog if you wanted to check it out.

Cheers guys.
Jack

P.s. A pic of what I am working on at the moment:

Well I haven't been around the hobby and forums much lately due to a fairly severe lack of time but I have been updating my blog of late: http://reds-corps.blogspot.com/

Head over and take a look if you like.

Here's a quick image of my latest, High Commander Culln:

Good to see you back!

Culln looks very nice indeed, makes a change to see him without a white helmet! Looks good in gold.

Thanks guys, yeah I personally think the white helmet is too plain for a High Commander so I went out on my own and painted it gold instead. I'm also thinking about adding a gold Iron halo from the Terminator Chaplain model but will ponder on that a little longer before making any additions.

Thanks for checking in!

Taking expressions of interest for my army on my blog. I've got a bunch of new photo's up and am getting close to being finished with them.

Then it's time to sell up and move on to the next project so head over and take a look at what I have for grabs as the package and let me know.

Looks like something full of blood exploded on that chap! Everything looks wonderful.

Is that a smear of dirt or something on the middle sternguard or is it just me?

Thanks mate, yeah the Chap has been hacking someone up with his Crozius and made a mess of his armour.

The middle Sternguard has some fine chipping on his face as though his head has scraped along the floor at one point. I was just trying to add some variety to the helmets. Looks a lot better in life/large photographs and a lot less like a smudge.

Hi Jack! that landraider is amazing! I absolutely love the extra armour on it and the weathering! you have really done such a nice job on it! it appears it's been on patrol in outback Australia in the red desert! :-) I am absolutely looking forward to seeing what you work on next with these guys, one of the nicest and most well painted armies being worked on at the moment! bloody fantastic!

I really love the scheme on the land speeder. The grey and yellow combined with your weathering technique is truly sublime. I cannot wait to see your take on the Contemptor dread. Your work is truly inspirational, thank you for sharing it with us.

Yeah the rhino has been peppered, the idea was that it either got hit by another vehicle strafing it with Assault Cannons blazing or it has copped massed small arms fire while flanking to redeploy marines (Hence the damage only coming from one side).

Wow your stuff looks great. Nice to see the red Scorps. they are really experiencing a big push right now. Lots of new scorp players which i think is awsome. I am so tired of blood angels or spacepuppies.

Thanks man,

I started with them just before they announced the Badab War series was coming out and since then I know they have been growing. It helps that they are probably the most supported by Forge World of the Chapters mentioned in the Imperial Armour books.

Check out my blog for more if you wanted, I'm trying to make it a bit of a one stop shop for people interested in them.

Here's my latest thing I finished last night:

I could be happier with them, they were one of the first things I painted when I started the hobby last year and I know I can do a better job now. I needed them finished for the tournament this weekend though so I just set to applying the battle damage and wear on the models, plus the weathering pigments and OSL.

Happy enough to present them but I think in the future I will strip them down and start again using new techniques.

Thanks guys,

Redscorps
