Wow, really! i'm so in the dark about a lot of this hobby aren't I! my knowledge as far as building armies goes is only codex related I didn't realise that IA books had so much fun stuff in them! may have to do one after my sallies!

The IA books are great fun as the designers aren't really constrained by what will sell en-mass, just whatever they feel fits the story they are writing for that book, or whatever they have designed recently.

The IA stuff, in general, is overcosted though, so compared to a pure Codex book you'll probably not be quite so well off... but you'll have fun while playing something new.

Have you considered filing off the skulls from the fuel tank and adding small RS decals in their place?

Or put a cver about 50% down the sidecar wheel and detail it with RS iconography?

dantay_xv - Got it sorted, added some brass to the front guard and the side guard, subtle but when combined with pilots wearing MkIV armour (Heads, shoulders and back packs at least) it does now look very RS oriented.

I should be able to emphasize that with the paint job as well.

Capitansolstice - Glad you like it mate!

Tech Guard - I'd love to mate but I live in perth and it would be ~700-1000 that I just can't justify spending this year. I will probably go next year when I am a better painter and have something I am more proud to bring and display.

speedfreak - Will try get a more organised presentation for this thread in the future. As I get more done I will have more to show and more reason to group them together.

Ps I am working on that attack bike, it's about half painted but I have hit a bit of a hobby slump for the last fortnight and haven't really gotten very far with it. It's base coated though so finishing it up should be pretty straight forward when I get some focus..

Seems to be coming up pretty well so far. I 'RS'd' it up with some brass icons on the sides and forge world MkIV heads, torsos and a backpack for the driver plus RS shoulder pads. It's also got the usual colour palate and looks pretty well RS enough to me. Plus it's easy to replicate onto the other ones as well.

I've been building this week, kinda lost my painting mojo a bit since the blitz.. I've punched out the Helios earlier in the week, built a whole bunch of Ork Warbikes and Today built this MkIIb/MkV World Eaters Land Raider:

The landraiders look great also the comtemptnor looks amazing, really slick paint job and the weathering is superb.

Dude those raiders look nuts! can't wait for paint! good to see you get the groove back! that world eaters one is looking especially hard! I suggest a sick day from work *cough cough* would help speed the process?.....

I really wants me some FW stuff after seeing all of this! Keep up the great work!

How did you get the missing missiles on the Helios?

Hey dude, I snipped the warheads off with some cutters, trimmed the area back a bit with my box cutter and then found the right sized drill bit to bore it out.

It actually worked out to be the exact same size as my bit I use to sink the bigger magnets in vehicles, 5mm to be exact.

Go for it dude, the mid-battle aesthetic I go for doesn't look right with a full rack of missiles so I wanted to keep the theme going by taking a few out.
