no no, don't rescind, you're right. I went back to them over the weekend and added red to the wings, like light was hitting it from the back and the thin skin was glowing a bit. like sub surface scattering. thanks for the crit. I will post pics of the result, they look much better.

A couple weeks ago I found some old metal termies on sale at a local hobby shop, I picked up 3 so I could at least use them for a squad. I accidently picked up two with reaper autocannons and only later realized the rules don't let you use more than one per squad. so I bought a TL bolter csm arm on ebay and used that instead. I knew I'd catch hell on the forums for looking like such a noob if I posted two terms with reapers.

anyway....blah blah, show me the pics right? so here they are basecoated with airbrush awaiting brush details....

Damn, I'm always awed at how good minis looks even when just basecoated with airbrushes...

I'm soon buying one, but my greatest fear is to be unable to match this level of blending & smoothness...

[edit : Actually if you field a 10-strong Terminator unit, you can have 2 Reapers... ]

ok so another long hiatus without any updates. These have actually be done for a week or so now just haven't had time to take pictures and post. I weathered these a bit more than my usual marines. In my head I saw these guys as being through many battles, their weapons and armor have been corroded and splattered from 100's of years of fighting. I also went with a darker base because it made them pop and added a bit more contrast.
