Wow. Your Green Stuff conversion work is perfect. The Terminators and Land Raider are just inspirational! I love the theme of your army too, you do great justice to the followers of Typhus.

Thanks genom.cor, Skalk for the feedback. I was a little worried about the blue. I used the same tech. on the banner bearer that i have for the squad. I think the banner is coming along nicely.
Incidentally ... i started using a new clear coat. Its called Valspar. It goes on a litttle thick but two coats are unnoticable and i have to say that it produces no detectable change in the color of the mini once it dries. I really dont like the GW flat clear coat. it seems to dull all of the colors that you apply it to. sad. anyways. this stuff is cheaper, about 4$ a can and i got it at Lowes harwear.

Getting more stuff done. I finished the demon squad off. The banner bearer was a total pain in the butt. anyone who has examined the plague bearer command squad should know what i am talking about. the models have random detaill that just blends together. how are we supposed to determine where part of one thing ends and another begins. the slime is used as a connector between bits where sculpting would have been difficult so you end up having to paint odd surfaces that really make the model more difficult. Not sure what to say about the other demon sculpt. it appears to be giving the finger....
So there you go. work actually getting done. enjoy and comments are as usual appreciated as are critique.

Thanks Ork. I have been workin on something very special that your Harpy is really not going to like. I just started some dark adeptus mechanicus for a havok squad. No sence in paying to have T 5 on a small group like my havoks. So... rather than have something fully unfluffy and unconverted, i decided to turn those bike models i have into something worthwhile. cant wait to see what they do to a T5, 4+ save critter that is way to big to fit behind any terrain. Your GOING DOWN. Just kidding. My army is vulnerable to hordes so your still going to kick my butt, when are you going to be around for a game.?

Thanks again for the support, Ghost, Skalk
I dont know what is going on but i am in a creative fit. really getting a lot done. Ive been working on my plans to add a unit or two of Dark AdMech as auxilla to the main nurgle force. Here are some pics of the intial effort. Not sure if i will ever be able to get the regularity i want on the shield that surrounds the shoulder gaurd that i am working on. Cogs are very regular and my effort is well, Not regular. Shall i keep the shoulder gaurd as is or toss this one and give it another shot.

The shoulder pad does look a little irregular, is there any way you can sketch the teeth of the cog out on the pad so they come out mroe evenly.
You might just need to make another go of it, just depends on how up tight you are about perfection.
other than that it looks like the stuff your working on is coming along fire. are you gonna paint the servitor in the colors of Dark admech too,

yeah.... i am not sure about the regularity of that shoulder pad either. i am pretty up tight about this kind of thing(you know me to well). I am probably going to do a complete re build of that one. Glad to have the feedback on this. Still, i havent made any progress on this because i have just been wrestling with school and life. The AdMech servitor is still really fun and exciting project for me to engage in. Any other suggestions that you have for the overall finished project. I am planning at least three of these guys. you cant tell from the picture but that dude has a magnetized weapon so that i can swap it out.

Thanks for the feedback skalk.
I went ahead and began a total rebuild of the shoulder pad. Not sure how i am going to get perfectly even notches in the side of the little bugger, anyone with some ideas i would reallly appreciate hearing them. for now i am going to just practice on more expendable bits, after all i only have so many cog wheel shoulder gaurds.
I just thought i would post a quick couple of pics of the HW servitor so yall could see how work is progressing. It goes slowly but i am in the process of finishing up the GS work on the track unit. i also began work on the mechadendrites. pics of them to come later.
C&C welcome.

I do have an idea actually, but I do not know how to explain it exactly. Draw out a circle and then dissect it w/ lines, then place your shoulder pad on top of the "template" and mark off the lines on the plastic, sort of like this:
Apologies for the horrible job, I'm at work.
But the concept is sound I think, and should take care of the issue you are having with spacing the cog grooves.

@ AirborneAnto ~ I looted the idea for the exhausts from some other nurgle army is saw somewhere. its not my idea, but whomever it was, i agree, it was really cool.

Yeah, forcing anything can be a real bummer. i read an interview with a pro surfer one time that was very enlightening. he said his job sucked. travel the world and surf the best surf brakes anywhere. that would sound like a dream to me, and GET PAID> duh. seems like the best job possible. He said it makes it way less fun when it is really stormy and ugly out, giant dangerous surf, your tired from the flight in and the day spent surfing and yet you still have to get up pre dawn and go surfing. quite a bit different than painting a 40k figure or two but still relavent.
I have been getting interested in some other conversion projects though. I would like to start another larger scratch build. my last large scale scratch build was a stompa. it turned out really pretty nicely. For this army i was looking at some of the warhound titan plans and thinking that nurgling one of those up would be a lot of fun. I have also pulled out my sculpting putty and about 20 feet of guitare wire and i am contemplating the defiler that i started last month. I want to sculpt a large nurgle demon ontop the defiler ala forgeworlds nurgle defiler conversion kit. It will all come together eventually. I also have a 1000pt tourni i need to get ready for next month. not sure what i will be playing but likely something nurgly...we shall see.
Anyways. i have lots of ideas and just need the motivationg. Turkey day set me back two days of study for school, so this weekend i am going to have to dedicate myself more to my work. Update to come as soon as i get off my keister.

That Surfer story is one of the reasons I didn't "follow my dream" in 1995 to open a game store. I would have wound up hating something I love as a hobby.
You have some great ideas and the skill to pull any of them off. I would like to see your Defiler, that would be pretty awesome.
Whatever you do, do it for fun.

Ok. Sorry no pics to post today. Tomorrow though i promise to get some pics up in the evening. I work pretty slowly but i have a upcoming Apoc. game and its my boys from town against the big guns from the niehboring city. Its a chaos only Apoc. and we are battling for control of the local bragging rights. Khorn and nurgle on their side. Our side is Slaneesh, Tzneech and Nurgle. I have been working my butt off on a big project. Every day i spend at least one hour doing GS work, grinding and drilling.
What i have learned so far.
If you work in a colder climate, GS is less cooperative. To maximize workablility i began to use a regular bulb in a shop light right over my subject to heat up the GS some. It really helps to keep it workable. I also fill a jar with hot water and keep my tools in it so that the GS softens when they touch it. This has really increased my ability to work with the putty. I would heat my house up some if i had any internal heating but i dont and the space heaters waste energy and they take a while to heat up a room. Sunday if it is still raining i plan on getting as much done as i can on this "project". And tomorrow some pics will be forthcoming. Its my largest project yet and without giving things away, its pictured early on in this thread, half assembled. See you all tomorrow.

Thank you Skalk, Cain and Menziez. Work slowed there to a crawl. I had all winter break to do something but instead i got 10+ hours of sleep a day and i really did nothing at all productive. Whatever. Breaks from school are for maximal lazy time. That is all. Now that school is back in i have a little motivation to get things rolling, not to mention the upcoming Apoc Game. Gotta be ready in time.
I have to complete 9 termies in the next 18 days. I also have to paint 2 Plague marines, 1 demon prince, and 1 ???????
Drum roll please. What i have been working on. My convertable Shadowsword. I spent about two hours grinding on it trying to work all the available hard edges down some. There is still a lot of work to do but a dremel tool is a modellers best freind. As i construct and GS i have been careful to make it so that i can still convert it between any of the 6+ versions of shadow sword that are currently available via datafax. The struts that are glued to the inside of the hull are not my method of doing this, but rather I looted them from another modeller whom i believe is french. It was a pretty easy to do conversion. the only hard part is all the forethought necessary so that i dont grind or GS something so that the bitz dont fit.
I was also very lucky to have an extra large bitz box. Within its shadowy recess father nurgle blessed me with two chimera turrets which i modified so that i can use them to swap out sponson weapons, that way i can easily feild the Banehammer which is pictured. There is still a lot of GS work to do as i said earlier. Not to mention at least another hour or so of drilling out little holes followed by glueing clumps of sand here and there to represent corrosion. anyone wishing to try this should search for the finest sand they can find. Sand without irregularly large grains. It makes a more uniform appearance. I also hope to construct a cruxified blood angel in keeping with my blood angel casualty theme, on the front grill of the tank as well as a bunch of plague censors affixed to various plates. The Rear grill of the tank is going to be a nightmare of exhaust tubes and then the funnest part, the shrine i have some choice ideas for. Thanks again for viewing this very slow moving blog. Skalk your persistance at your work is commendable. Thanks too for the earlier shout out.
ANY suggestions and comments are appreciated.
