I'd love to do a Madboy-styled slugga boy (I haven't been posting here long enough to have any claim of a "personality" on the site, but I've always carried a wound over the removal of mobs of batgak orks from the codex.), would this be a permissible theme for a mob? Otherwise I'll work the model into one of the established mobs.

I think you would find you would fit perfectly into Da Durty Duzzen

Heck Ya sirrah. Join 'Da Durty Duzzen. We are all quite mad. Mainly cause we call ourselves 'Da Durty Duzzen and there are only 2 of us so far. So join us to make it 3.

I was thinking so, I missed your mob when I checked out the article. I'll pm pics to you when I have something worth showing!

While posting pics here certainly isn't a bad idea, just make sure you also post them in the Waaagh Dakka discussion thread (so everyone who is also working on their models can keep track of what everybody else is doing as well).

yakface's 40K rule #1: Although the rules allow you to use modeling to your advantage, how badly do you need to win your toy soldier games?
yakface's 40K rule #2: Friends don't let friends start a MEQ army.
yakface's 40K rule #3: Codex does not ALWAYS trump the rulebook, so please don't say that!

OH-I Wanna get out of here

For those not participating yet, here's some of what you are missing out on:

All of which is done by non-dcm's who wanted to be creative and become part of something that is more than there army, to be more in the community than some guy who posted some things on the internet.

/shameless plug

Yes, people have chosen to be grots and squighounds. Not because they don't think much of themselves, but because they are not so full of themselves to think they should be something so grand as a Warboss on a bike. They instead decided to be part of a fun, creative group. Ever wonder why non-starters in non-professional sports continue to put forth effort? It's because they enjoy the sport, and enjoy being part of the group that enjoys the sport.

Yes, some of the longer standing members might be noticed if they were to leave, but if Yak or Lego were to decide they were done with Dakka? It'd be curtains. The mods would certainly require replacement, and if the DCMs all left, it would really hurt what those in charge were able to provide the users with. We have the occasional DCM giveaway, some discounts at various advertisers, an extra forum section filled with silly things, the ability to customize our ranks and now the option to be a leader in an imaginary army. That's it. And if that is what you think we are paying for, than clearly you don't understand what any of the DCMs donated money for.

I've been busy prodding Mrs S to join up.

I has sinking feeling she'll want to be a grot instead of a stormboy!
