Thanks, and yeah I wanted to make games that were fast & fun and easy to learn, and only need like 10 models tops.. pretty much the opposite of GW
If you need a lot of figs, check out Black Scorpion, they're the ones I used all throughout the rulebook and they look pretty good. It will be a while till I have anywhere near that many models, but the bounty hunter and others are the same scale and all so they'll mix in together pretty good I was even thinking about selling their figs in my online store, so I have more to offer.. but with my limited funds I'm thinking I might be better off spending it to get my own stuff sculpted.

Some new updates. First, I decided instead of releasing 6 gang leader models, I'm going to focus on getting 2 "starter sets" sculpted. I have 2 leaders done now, so I'll be doing 8 single sculpts now. There will be an outlaw themed gang and a lawman themed gang. Lawman gang will have the bounty hunter leader, Prospector, Doctor and a Deputy and Ranger for henchmen. Outlaws will have the Gambler gang leader, gunslinger, wrassler, bandit girl and a drifter. Anyway, these starter sets will come with quick start rules and a gang roster so it's ready to play out of the box, but people can still make up their own gangs if they want. I'll still be selling each model separately too. I just want to have these 10 models set as my first main goal, then I'll start working on adding more figures and other starter sets for different themes like Mexicans or Indians, etc.
So, next on the sculpting block I have Patrick (same guy that did the Gambler) doing the Prospector, it'll be the gang leader concept, only without the extra hands. He'll have a miner's pick and a stick of dynamite, and I'll probably add in a pistol holstered on his hip.
Then I have the bandit girl henchman (henchwoman?) that will be sculpted by Igor "Brother Vinni", her concept is below Also have a gunslinger and wrassler concepts below too, these 3 will all be outlaws. And I have some more concepts coming in the next week or so. Might be updating the wrassler to have a gun on his hip or a shotgun over the shoulder. It's the old west, so everyone needs a gun, even the melee classes
Here's the Bandit
And the Gunslinger
And the Wrassler

Got some new artwork done that I'll be using for the rulebook and also these 2 guys will be flanking each side of the content area on my site, once I get the final versions in the next couple of days. They were done by Don Ellis Aguillo.
Here's the rough draft so far

These are some awesome minis you have here Necros. After my friends and I finish getting into Malifaux, I'll direct them to what you're doing with Blackwater Gulch. Another skirmish game should be right up our alley by then.

Got some more artwork to share.
First, here’s 2 figure concepts from Shane Tyree. First is a lawman, a deputy that will be included in the forthcoming Vigilance Committee starter set. And also a masked Outlaw, making like he’s ducking behind some cover. He’ll be included in the Clancy Gang Starter Set which will be the first one. The Clancy Gang will come with the Gambler Gang Leader, Wrassler, Gunslinger, Bandit Girl and Masked Outlaw. But more on that later, here’s the pics
Next, Next, on my site I have these 2 big fellas on either side of the main content area, they’re an Outlaw and Lawman done by Don Ellis Aguillo. They’ll be part of the box art for the starters, and I’ll most likely get figures sculpted to match too. But here they are again, without getting cut off.
I’m in the process of lining up sculptors to get all 4 figures done for the Clancy Gang starter all done around the same time. So I’ll have more info to come real soon

Yes. BoW and TTGN are both blocked.
All these sites are classified as "game" sites. Those are blocked because, while we're free to peruse the web in our down time, we aren't allowed to play games... so, anything classified as "game" is auto-blocked, regardless of content.
Since I don't have a business need to visit any of the sites (LOL), it would be unwise to submit them as "work necessary" sites. : )
S'alright. I'll just have to wait and visit the thread from home.

I just updated the PDF and Print-on-Demand rules.
I replaced old & boring fluff & background info with new stuff written by Jonathan Peace. The wanted poster on the first page, the town history and a short story called "Shootout at the Golden Coin". And I also have some of the new artwork mixed in too.
And some minor rules updates...
Preferred base sizes were changed to 30mm instead of 25mm, this is because the figures I'm making will all come with 30mm bases 25mm is still acceptable though.
For crowded targets, if your target has another model in his personal space, he's +1 to hit, max. No more adding +1 for each model. That was a little too over the top. So you can group up your models to make them a little tougher to hit, but there's still a chance to hit the other guy. And also if you shoot into melee combat, there's a chance you can kill your buddy instead.
Minor corrections to the Gold Rush mission. When you place gold chunks on the board, Defender starts and places 1 in the center, and then you take turns placing pieces 8" apart. Some people complained that it was too easy to place them in your starting areas. This way, even if you start in the center, you still gotta make it off the board dodging a hail of gunfire to keep your gold.
I removed the roster sheets at the back of the printed book, to make room for the new fluff pieces. This way the price of the book won't change, and it's probably easier for you to just download the roster sheet and print it out yourself instead of using the back of your printed book anyway. I do still have the color and B&W rosters in the PDF though.
I also removed the ePub version of the rules. Haven't updated it lately and there have been very few downloads anyway, and not only that but it doesn't work right on my Kindle Fire :( I'll look into this format again when I can figure out how to make it more compatible across the board, for now PDFs seem to work best. Also thinking about doing a plain text or "few images" PDF too, to be easier to read and print out for the folks that want that...
And that should do it for now

Got the first WIP shots of the Outlaw Gunslinger that will be in the Clancy Gang starter set (I need to come up with a cooler name than "starter set" ...)
Anyway, he's sculpted by Pedro Ramos. He still has to finish the left arm, tighten things up and give him his gun, and finish a few other details. Here he is so far
The other figs in the set are still on deck with other sculptors (Patrick Keith and Bob Naismith), but I expect (hope) to have them finished by the end of the month. But, between sculpting time, shipping, molding, casting, shipping, pro painting, shipping, printing box art and more shipping, it will probably be well into June before the first starter is ready for sale :/ Someone needs to invent teleporters...

Well I dunno if they could all be a posse. Always thought a posse was more about lawmen types. And the Clancy boys are no good, dirty, rotten scoundrels.
Posse Pack sounds fun, but, that would also invite half the gamers out there to swap the O for a U and call it something else.

Can't argue about the "U for the O" idea.
I looked up posse for an exact definition (as I'd used in othre ways, besides the one you mentioned):
1. A group of people summoned by a sheriff to aid in law enforcement.
2. A search party.
3. A gang involved in crimes such as running guns and illegal narcotics trafficking.
4. Slang A group of friends or associates.
I don't really see where it would be grammatically incorrect (Barring the "U" thing LOL).
So, "Clancy Gang posse," etc.
Just a thought. At least it keeps the flavor of the game.

Maybe Possebox? hmm, nah. hehe
I was trying to think of something along the lines of "Khador Battlegroup", only wild west sounding. But maybe I don't need it.. Clancy Gang Box Set might just be good enough. The next will be the Vigilance Committee Box Set, Injun Tribe box set, etc. Since there's no factions in the game, my idea was to have each box set have a special theme or story, and you can just add whatever other models to it if you want a more custom gang. The sets will come with character cards, but I'll also have downloadable cards you can print out for other models or blank ones to make up your own.

Why even use "Boxed set?"
Personally, I think "The Clancy Gang, The Vigilance Committee and The Injun Tribe" sound just fine.

yeah I guess that's the best way to go.. I'll just leave off the whole boxed set part... not really needed.
For the injuns, that's the working title Gotta find me an interweb armchair expert that can help me find a realistic sounding tribal name, that's also fictional, and easy enough for googlers to spell.
After that will be El Bandidos Mexicanos, and then I haven't decided what next. Will eventually get around to hillbilly moonshiners, old cooter's miners, soiled doves, gentleman's club, and any other stereotype I can come up with that's a good match. I'll also probably do a few different "cowboy" sets, all with a different gang name. But folks seem to be asking for indians and mexicans the most, so they'll be next on the list.

Hmm, I thought it was a T also, but I googled something like "Mexican Outlaws" and that's how google spelled it. Actually, I guess I should just ask Pedro, he's from Spain
I was thinking for the mexicans and the indians, I'd also use different profession names that mean the same thing.. like Pistolero instead of Gunslinger, Chief instead of Gang Leader, etc. Just don't know if that would confuse people though when just about every other gang out there will use the normal names. Automatically Appended Next Post: I have 2 new finished sculpts to share! First I have the Bandit sculpted by Igor (aka Brother Vinni), followed by the Gunslinger sculpted by Pedro Ramos. Both of these will be included in the upcoming Clancy Gang "starter set". I still have 2 more sculpts I'm waiting on, for the Wrassler who will be sculpted by Patrick Keith, and Masked Outlaw who will be sculpted by Bob Naismith. Those last 2 should be done around the end of the month. Anyway, here's the pics

Well, as usual, I'll have to wait until I'm home to see the pics. I'm sure they look good, though. Every other model has.
I think that, for clarity purposes, you should stick with common types for models. Don't change them for just one gang.
That said, there's no reason you can't use those ideas. I'm sure you could work in "Pistolero" somewhere. Same for "Chief."
Weird. Your post, re: bandido/bandito inspired me to look it up. Seems you're probably right after all. The English to Spanish lookup I did translated "Bandit" to "Bandido."

I was actually just thinking that.. just in the name on the card, I was thinking I could do it like "Juan Valdez, El Pistolero" and then under it it'll just say he's a gunslinger.
I was going to wait till I got the pro painted pics of the bounty hunter and gambler, and then put their character cards up on my site, but I think I'll do the cards this weekend instead, just starting with the generic blank template cards and add separate characters in later. For the blank one it'll be a PDF with 2 cards on the page, front and back. You just cut it out and fold it in half to make the front & back of the "card", then just stick it in a card sleeve or whatever. Also doing a Photoshop template file for people that might want to make their own cards and add their own photos
Also thinking I may change things up in the Clancy Gang set, and have the bounty hunter leader in there instead of the gambler. Bounty hunter model looks more outlaw-ish, but the gambler fig is better dressed and looks more like the kinda guy who might join up with the lawmen.

Do you have a set size for your cards yet? If not, you should consider what typical sleeve sizes are out there. For example, it's easy to find one the size of a CCG card, but not so much for, say, Malifaux miniature cards.

Yeah, they say typical size is 2.5" x 3.5", and that's how big my Warmachine cards are. Fit's good in those 9-slot card pages.
So I have it laid out where the front of the card is the left half, and the right side folds over to be the back of the card. Stacked, I can fit 2 on a 8.5 x 11 page.. 3 cards is a teeny bit too tall :(

How's that?
Presuming 2.5 x 3.5 is the size BEFORE folding them in half:
The way I see it, is you go "landscape" with it, you should be able to get 3 side by side (10.5" total) and 3 High (7.5" total)..
So, really, I'm thinking nine should fit on a page, with the right page margins... or am I missing something?

you're right don't know why I had portrait stuck in my head, didn't do all the math. but yeah, I can get 4 foldy cards on the page if I do landscape.
And, I can get 9 single-sided cards on one page. I wanted to do it with the front and back together and then fold in half, since not everyone can print on the back and get it to line up right. I know my cheapy printer is different every time. But, I can easily set up a PDF with 9 cards, and just have the card backs as page 2. people can even leave the back blank if they want too.

My bad. I thought that 2.5 x 3.5 was the size BEFORE folding them in half. Yeah. In that case, you CAN'T get nine to a page.
Now that i can see the models... that bandit is AWESOME. I mean... I don't "do" Wild West (I'm watching this thread because I like the project you're doing, even though I'm not a Wild West fan), but that model REALLY calls to me. It's really well done, and I like it. A lot.
I can't say I'm so hot about the other, though. To me, and it might be just my perception vs. reality of how the hat's supposed to fit but, it looks like the hat sits too high on his head. Also -and it might be the lighting or something- it looks like his back poskets stick out too far.
You should have Igor do more of your models... and by "more," I mean ALL OF. : )
I'm really liking where this is going.
