This looks rad. it's really good to see small projects like this getting off the ground, and it's great to have more skirmish games on the market.

Bounty hunter looks really good, too, looking forward to seeing one painted.

Did you know? The Reach belongs to the Forsworn.

That price doesn't seem too far off for single piece hero models nowadays. I look forward to seeing the finished product.

Those prices seem reasonable to me. I'll probably pick some up for Legends of the Old West. Am I right in guessing they'd mix pretty well with Black Scorpion?

Yep they're pretty much the same scale as black scorpion. Maybe a MM or 2 taller in some cases but they're a great fit, in fact the folks at BS gave me permission to use photos of their models in the rulebook, etc, when I was first starting out so my game was originally based around them anyway. The figs from most other companies seemed smaller, but I prefer the size & bulk of 28-30mm heroic stuff. Guess GW spoiled me over the years

Just as an aside, got my Blackwater rules the other day, got my Black Scorpion order delivered just before Xmas and me and the missus have spent a couple of evenings gluing some Whitewater City papercraft buildings together. Just waiting on the desert mat to arrive from Hotz (and some cacti!) and I'm good to go.

Cool thanks for buying I love the whitewash city buildings. I'm still planning to one day put together a few building PDFs too that I'll just have for free to download, just to get some folks started if they don't have any good wild west terrain. Just haven't had the time to sit down and start doing it, but hopefully in the new year.

I was thinking of a basic store building with different skins with different store names for each one, so you can print out 3 or 4 and they might all have the same shape but they'll all have a different look.

Yeah his kits look great. I've been wanting to get one or 2 but they're pricey. I emailed the guy that makes them and one reason I still didn't get any also is because the balconies and stairs are too small for a 25mm base, so you can't put models up there :(

Here's the concept art for the Doctor Gang Leader. I'm hoping to have him sculpted in February if all goes well, and released along with the Prospector in March. The doctor will have a Colt 45 in 1 hand, and a WInchester Repeater or Sharps Longarm in the other.

Also, the Gambler green is being sculpted right about now. I hope to have some preview pics to share in the next few days. The Bounty Hunter is coming along nicely and I hope to have the final model released in the next couple of weeks. I just need to get the pro-painted models and then the models will be cast and packaged and he'll be all set.

I've been hard at work designing a new website for the e-commerce software I'll be using to run the online store. It will basically be 2 different websites (the blog site and the store site), but both with the same look and everything linked together so no one gets lost. Here's a preview of what it'll look like

The Gambler Gang Leader is finished! I'd like to call it a green, but this one happens to be gray.

His weapon options will be a Bowie Knife, Hand Axe/Hatchet, Colt 45 or other revolver, a Derringer pocket pistol, and an extra hand with a deck of cards for fun. Maybe you can count them as throwing knives?

In other news, the Bounty Hunter is finally in the home stretch, and if all goes well (famous last words) I hope to have him available in a week or so

Here's the gambler pics

Thanks The same guy that did the gambler will be starting the prospector in a couple of weeks. I may have to hold off on the doctor and have him come after.. need to start selling the bounty hunter so I can afford new sculpts But the doctor will be sculpted by the same guy that did the bounty hunter. I'm also talking with a couple of other sculptors too for other figs in the pipeline.

Also I have a new artist that will be doing concept art for most of the figures going forward now, so I'll have artwork done for the gunslinger & wrassler bosses soon plus 2 outlaws that will be my first 2-man blister. I want to get art done for every figure, to try and tie the same look & feel across the board.

I'm hoping by this time next year I'll have a healthy selection of minis out there and several new ones getting released each month... For this and other games I'm planning, all using the same ruleset.

The Bounty Hunter Gang Leader is now available!

$11.49 (usd)

You can get him directly from my site at http://www.gangfightgames.com.

Some would call them a Jack or Jill of all trades, Bounty Hunters excel at catching a man dead or alive... Usually dead. To get the job done, they master of a variety of weapons and tend to be stronger than most. Some bring only criminals to justice, but most will go after any bounty that pays well enough.

Bounty hunters gain +1 Strength when first recruited. They are known to use a wide variety of different weapons, and to reflect this they may use equipment one level higher than their current Ranged or Melee Combat Attributes with no penalty. Additionally, If your Gang Leader is a Bounty Hunter, any friendly model within 12" of him may reroll their Morale roll if they fail.

This package includes 1 Bounty Hunter Gang Leader Body, 1 Bounty Hunter Weapon Sprue and 1 30mm round plastic base. The included weapons allow you to equip your Gang Leader with a Rolling Block Rifle (Longarm), Coach Gun (Shotgun), Colt 45 (Pistol), Bowie Knife or Tomahawk (1-Handed Melee).

The size and scale of the figure is compatible with most "28mm Herioic" miniatures, standing 30mm to the eye, 34mm to the top of his hat. Model supplied unpainted. Not recommended for children under 13. Made in the USA, from good old fashioned white metal.

Sculpted and designed by Pedro Ramos.

I saw the original of this model at DakkaCon I think, right? That and the previous green (gray) above look really good! I'm happy to have gotten the rulebook from you and will be keeping an eye on this

Let me know if you try "Bang!", I have a feeling you'll like it! It's like a card version of your game here (hence, not as cool, but about as fun as you can get with just cards).

Excellent news, looking forward to the Gambler too. Can you give a rough guide as to shipping costs to UK? It might not be viable for just one mini in which case it might be worth us here in the UK waiting until March when the Gambler appears and getting both in one go.

Yep, that was the guy I had in the blister on display. I actually had a painted version in my mini case that I forgot all about

And for shipping to the UK, it should be around $5. However, I just added a new release coupon code that's 15% off, that will make it like free shipping for the US and will also make a little dent in shipping elsewhere. I can't afford to do shipping everywhere, so I figured this was the best way to do it.

Excellent stuff, will put my order in straight away - quick question, where do we find the 15% coupon? I didn't see anything in the recent newsletter; is it automatically deducted at checkout?

I had a little note on the store homepage and I just added it to the actual product info too.. use the coupon code NEWSTUFFS when you check out I'm going to plan to do that as a pre-order and new release sale kind of thing whenever I have a new model.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Just had some orders for the UK and one for Denmark, both came to $3.78 for regular air mail. Not as bad as I thought it would be. I have to take them to the post office myself though :/

online shipping stuff only works with priority ($16) or Express ($30+). That's just stupidly expensive got 1 little mini

Necros, out of curiosity, what's the thought behind the pistol-grip rifle the Bounty Hunter is holding? I'm not familiar with too many rifles of that era with a pistol grip like that. Not trying to be a grognard, it just seems a little odd to me.

Man, I wish there was a real Black Library where I could get a Black Library Card and take out Black Library Books without having to buy them. Of course, late fees would be your soul. But it would be worth it. - InquisitorMack

There were some rifles with pistol grips back then, but they just weren't as common. I have an old gun catalog from the 1890's and a lot of the rifles it has listed could be made to order like that.

In this case though, he's more like holding is shotgun off to the side and firing his pistol. It was hard to get the angle right so that the hand could be removable, without having to sculpt the shoulder stock onto the arm. The other rifle he's holding vertically.

I'm going to be putting together a magnetizing tutorial so you'll be able to see all the different weapon combos easier.

Howdy Folks

Long story short, I just reduced the price to $9.99 for the Bounty Hunter Gang Leader.

Here's the long story: So, the model was just released a few days ago, but it's been a fairly common complaint across the boards that the price was just too high for 1 figure. There's a few things that drove the price up, such as the weapon sprue, but mostly it's the fact that I had my production / casting company handle the packaging so I had to pay extra labor for that too. However, I now have all of the supplies needed to package everything myself, and that will cut my costs down a lot going forward.

My next miniature, the Gambler Gang Leader, will cost less because I'll be packaging myself, estimated at $9.99… but it didn't seem right to sell the Bounty Hunter for more so I decided to drop the price to match. This would really only effect my profits on the bounty hunter if I were selling to distributors, and that won't be happening for a while, so that's nothing I'm really worried about.

So, yeah, price dropped, and the NEWSTUFFS promotion is still valid unti the 15th too

Also, to thank the "early adopters" that paid the higher price for the bounty hunter, I'll be adding a store credit of $1.50 to your accounts, that you can use on a future purchase. I can do a paypal refund instead, if you prefer. Contact me if so!

That gambler is pretty amazing.

Have to ask, are you likely to be doing any female versions?

Yes actually I have some ladies planned. My first gang member 2 pack will be "Outlaws" and it'll have a male and a female outlaw. I have an artist doing the concept sketches right now actually. I was also thinking of doing them instead of or after the prospector. I think since I have 2 gang leaders done it might expand my amt of minis if I start doing the 2 gang member packs. And really for my rules, you can use any model you want for your leader.

Also kind of wondering if it's a good idea to do the 2 packs or just sell each one separately.. no idea what they will cost though till they're sculpted, casted and weighed though. I was also thinking, if I sold separately I could do web deals where you can save a little if you buy 2 or whatever.

That sounds pretty good.

Me and the Fiancée are interested in picking up a cowfolk game, and your rules are pretty good (trailed using other minis, very fun and fast paced).

And I like the gambler, he is very kool
