Yes it is the job of the site. They maintain whatever imagine and standards they like, keep it classy whatever, and that is their prerogative. That is why they have language filters. But it is not just 4chan that features swearing. Swearing is a part of everyday life, and 99.999999999% of people with lives swear. Figure it out.

And putting etc. after listing a single thing makes no sense...

Quick hint: If you're going to ask somebody to erase an expletive so that it can't be seen by kids and whatnot, it's best to not include that expletive in your quote... which will then get quoted by someone else... then someone else... then by the original complainer again and so on. The original expletive has now been remedied but it hath verily multiplied, to greater assail those innocent eyes - oh the irony.

Haven't read 'Space Marine' yet but I'm hoping I might like it, since Watson's SM in the Inq War series is the only one I've ever come across that was even a quarter interesting as a character (and the older 40k novels were much more interesting).

Anyroad, re it's authoritativeness; hasn't it been declared Not-Canon by BL? I keep reading that but you know.... Might have a bearing upon whether Dorn is only merely dead or really most sincerely dead.

BTW: Second pic is great; nice to see a grizzled and gnarly SM rather than yet another Roger Ramjet clone. Wargear imposing and not ludicrous. And nothing unmanly about tea, "Aye! Put kettle on lad for a nice brew... put hairs on yer chest!"

The precise wording of the Index Astartes article is: "They boarded the Sword of Sacrilege and recovered what remained of Rogal Dorn.", which is pretty unambiguous. "A body not the size of a Primarch" and "rumours he was captured" are conspicuously absent.

I also recall reading a version where only one hand was found, and no body, so...

Well, "remains" is a pretty ambiguous term. I can't think of any other instances of the story, so I suspect that, since the Index Astartes article only went on to mention a hand being on display, people (including, quite possibly, other GW hacks) have assumed that only a hand was recovered. However, Ian Watson's Space Marine has the Primarch's body (minus hands) encased in amber, and his hands in two shrines. Unless somebody can find something to specifically contradict it, then, despite the novel's age, it remains canonical that the Imperial Fists have a complete Dorn skeleton, divided over three cabinets. Even if we disregard the novel, it remains, unless a source comes to light, only inference that his hand comprised the entirety of those "remains".

Unless, once the Heresy novels are done with, we get an 'Age of the Imperium' series, I doubt we'll ever get more specifics than we presently have.

Well the novel space marine is quite out of date, and not up to date with the rest of the universe (Space Marines controlling titans, space marines with lasgun and TZEENTCH WORSHIPPING SQUATS?!?!).

And it is speculation that the remains are more than just the hand.

Given that the Index Astartes article is quite unambiguous about Dorn being definitively dead, and the absence of surviving witnesses, I would be inclined to think we must assume that the "remains" were sufficient to undeniably confirm that Dorm was indeed dead, and thus presumably more than just a hand.

It doesn't really matter much either way, I brought the whole thing up solely for the sleep of pointing out that Asherian Command was making things up and claiming them to be canonical. As I said earlier, we'll only find out for sure if BL someday tell us the tale in full.
