Still no tutorial on the jump pack exhaust?

It is the 3rd Millennium. For more than a hundred months Games Workshop has sat immobile on the Golden Throne of Nottingham. It is the foremost of wargames by the will of the neckbeards, and master of a million tabletops by the might of their inexhaustible wallets. It is a rotting carcass writhing invisibly with business strategies from the early Industrial Revolution Age. It is the Carrion Lord of the wargaming scene for whom a thousand veteran players are sacrificed every day, so that it may never truly die. Yet even in its deathless state, GW continues its eternal vigilance. Mighty battleforce starter-sets cross the online-store-infested miasma of the internet, the only route between distant countries, their way lit by a draconian retail trade-agreement, the legal manifestation of the GW's will. Vast armies of lawyers give battle in GW's name on uncounted websites. Greatest amongst its soldiers are the Guardians of the IP, the Legal Team, bio-engineered super-donkey-caves. Their comrades in arms are legion: the writing team and countless untested rulebooks, the ever vigilant redshirts, and the writers of White Dwarf, to name only a few. But for all their multitudes, they are barely enough to hold off the ever-present threat from other games, their own incompetence, Based Chinaman - and worse. To support Games Workshop in such times is to spend untold billions. It is to support the cruelest and most dickish company imaginable. These are the tales of those times. Forget the power of sales discounts and Warhammer Fantasy Battle, for so much has been dropped, never to be re-published again. Forget the promise of cheaper digital content and caring about the fanbase, for in the GW HQ there is only profit-seeking, Space Marines and Sigmarines. There is no fun amongst the hobby shops, only an eternity of raging and spending, and the laughter of former employees who left GW to join better companies.

I have a question: how did you achieve such saturated red on the very first pic in this thread (rhino)? It looks simply stunning

@ Sub-Zero - haha sorry man I've been busy and I've been trying to finish up some vehicles for a game this weekend .. I promise I'll have one for you by next week. 8)

@ Anakonda - I fade my vehicles using an aribrush and usually do run a lot of fade blends. I use Comm Art colors, their Trans Red is awesome and very vibrant. 8)

@ Thortek - Thanks! Glad you like it ...

I love the Blood Angels, I read your guide on how to do red and did the best I could to execute it.

Your a true gentleman for posting that. It was much appreciated.

On another note, your work is stunning

Also, what do you use as a sealer? I love the semi gloss look of it on your Angels.

haha thanks .. hope it helps .. it just takes some time and you'll get it down.

I use my airbrush to clear them now. Typically it's Liquitex and they have Gloss down through to matte.. I usually hit it with gloss for protection then spray it with matte to bring down the shine.

Glad you like them .. 8)

Thank you soooo much! I'll be putting this technique to use in the very near future.

I like the way you do your boltguns, they look like worn metal. What's your process for that?

@ Adrian - Thanks glad you like them. Do you mean how long does it take me to paint one? I don't know for all of them 8) .. But depending on the quality I'm going for usually 2 to 6 hours I suppose. Vehicles probably 8 +

@ Pnyxpresss - Thanks .. I was looking for a CC army and wanted them to have a gritty look, A tarnished version of their former glory ..

@ Sub Zero - Cool, NP hope it helps 8)

@ LutherMax - For the stand black bolters I base it with black and then drybrush bolt gun over it. For the gold I'll start with bronze and then blend gold in.

@ Basimpo - Haha thanks .. I've always been an Eldar player but wanted a good CC army to mix it up.

@ Alfonso - Thanks .. I wanted them to look more stealthy .. so whe nwith the purple ..

@ Iandroid - Thanks .. I didn't want the Xtreme Highlights so when with Xtreme Shadows .. keeps the reds red and not orange 8)

@Reality - Thanks !!

Finished up my DC Squad, I wrapped up the final two squad members last night. I realized after I had put my airbrush away that some still have a bit more sheen then I'd like. I'll have to go back and hit them with matte. But otherwise all done up..

Been a bit since I posted something new .. been busy with house remodeling .. I entered a few things in Games Day Chicago this year and even though I ran out of time on the Diorama it made it to the final round which is nice .. there are a few things that I would have liked to put more time into but I think it looks good .. Here's the finished up Pathfinder Diorama .. I wanted him to be blended into his background other then his armour and helm popping out ..

I've also posted up some Games Day Pics and info on my site if interested ..

Well done in the final buddy. It's great to see you posting over here as well. I'm gonna be painting up some more of my WE tomorrow and I'm gonna give your method a try as it seems a lot quicker than my own. For a similar (better ) effect. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with next

@ Bio - Hey man .. yeah I've been swamped with house work and getting ready for our second kid .. so I haven't had a lot of spare time. Eldar are my first army so no post over at BnC haha .. I've been meaning to log in and check out how your Titan is coming along 8) .. I was hoping to actually have a scene with a BA Biker and a Daemon Prince but with my time getting majorly cut back it was a no go haha ... Thanks man .. I'll like to see your take on it ..

@ Iron Father - Thanks .. glad you like him. I have a few more I need to get done .. sometime .. in the future it seems haha ..

It's been awhile .. family time taking over .. 8) But I knocked out a squad of scouts real quick. Not that happy with the shoulder icons but don't feel like going back to change them at the moment haha.. Still need to be cleared and might put some powders in them to dull the guns down a bit. Not sure at present though 8)

I started working on some Dark Angels to mix it up.. I'm going to put together a small DA force. With my time being limited the rank and file will be table quality. Thankfully I can rock these out pretty quick..
