I forced a Bloodthirster to death with Eldrad in combat yesterday, I guess I was lucky that I ran for cover when I knew he was coming for my warlord.

During an apoc game my Grey Hunters dropped in turn one and popped a rhino full of marines. Next turn they shot plasma guns/cannons at me leaving me with one Grey Hunter who was falling back onto an objective. For fun we decided that an assault marine, who also lost his squad except for one, will duke it out for the objective in CC. Nothing happened until the last turn when he failed his armor save and I consolidated onto the objective and won us the apoc game.

Safe to say that Grey Hunter will now be getting a amazing paint job and a trophy or two.

Sniping Njal with a BT lascannon initiate on turn 1 was fun. But I have to say my favourite wasn't a result, more a friendly joke gone horribly wrong. DA scout with heavy bolter, shooting at my Ork Trukk. Has LoS but only through The gap between Sammaels head and sword. Us being immature teenagers we decided that if he rolls a 1 to hit it hits Sammael, who is already wounded from mass dakka. Sure enough, a 1 comes up (the Trukk lost it's big shoota if anyone was wondering). So, we roll to wound, and it wounds. You can see where this is going... Failed Sv and the new boy suddenly has a lot of explaining to do as to why he killed the Master of the Ravenwing

I had my general Necron Overlord get assaulted by some terminators and he proceeded to die 4 times and come right back up with his 5+ RP.

Finally my enemy got smart and stopped him from coming back.

I played a game where Farsight and Shadowsun finally got over their differences and teamed up for the greater good and dropped down together right in front of an imperial guard gun line armed with las cannons, 2 annihilator leman russ, a bane wolf, 3 chimeras loaded up with heavy weapons and one with his warlord. Oh and two vendettas. So they dropped down together with 7 battle suits and 12 gun drones all with stealth and shrouded. Shadowsun busted open the chemical tank 2nd turn and proceeded to wreak havoc BEHIND this guy's aegis defense line, ignoring every save possible. Every turn he shot at it with all he had but failed to kill Farsight, Shadowsun, the support suit, and one other body guard. It basically ended with me killing every one of his units on the ground except for a leman russ. I won 6 to 0, claiming line breaker, slay the warlord, first blood, and 1 objective.

GIVE ME YOUR HATE!!

I had a big game against IG and Longstrike finished off a Baneblade and blew up a Vendetta, snapfiring without markerlights, 6 to hit, explodes. My opponent decided that Longstrike would be the first to die whenever we faced each other again.

One guardian bright lance shot explodes a spacewolf dreadnought with a flurry of sixes. The explosion goes out 6" and kills four terminators and 2 bikes. I have been waiting for another shot like that for 10 years. One in a million.

turn 6. final combat. typhus has one wound left. if typhus lives, he will contest the objective, denying my opponent the win.
in close combat with some orks. they had like 6 left. all i had to do was kill one and they'd run.

also, another time, 6th ed, i needed double ones to keep from running away (only my AC was left holding the relic).

i jumped up and screamed "GET F&%$ED" in my silent little hobby shop filled with children for the BOGO comic deal that day... they asked me to leave, but i knew in my heart, i was champion.

5th edition - 1 solitary firewarrior shas'ui holding the objective. All other objectives are either too far away or simply contested. Last turn of the the game. I had to shoot almost my whole army at Abbadon and retinue to clear them off an objective. My single Shas'ui is staring down two Chaos Terminators that will come in and kill him on their last turn. He decides to rapid fire - two hits. The Chaos player rolls double ones for this saves... two dead termies. That shas'ui was the only troop model left on the board at games end (out of sight of the rest of his army).

I ended up winning that round as a massacre. Oh, did I mention this wa 'Ard Boyz' prelminary round? Got me into second place.

Going back to 5th I was playing DA(4th Ed book) vs space wolfs(bunch of termies with cmd and a drop pod squad with flamer) round 2 my Ezekiel model used mind worm on Logan he rolled box cars and dies rounds 3-6 he multi assaulted(3 units of terminators)into my terminator unit led by Belial and Ezekiel Ezekiel and Belial both stood tall at the end of round 6 dealing the final blows to his entire 3 units giving me a win in the secondary and third objectives

First game of 40k, playing the Dark Vengeance set. A squad of cultists is down to two guys, one with a flamer, the other with a pistol. I decided to shoot a Ravenwing bike squad nearby, and the flamer did didly squat. so, I figure I might as well shoot the pistol. It hits, wounds, and kills one of the bikers. That cultist died later and I ended up losing, but I will always remember the most badass cultist in the galaxy.

A 400 point unit of Necrons (can't remember the specific unit name) complete with a Lord unloaded on my Nob biker/Warboss unit. All that was left was my Warboss. I charged him in a last hurrah at the unit. Here's what happened:

-He took Overwatch like a champ and saved all of his wounds.
-He passed(!) the Mindshackle Scarab test.
-He won combat(!!).
-My friend failed his Necron's leadership test(!!!).
-I won the roll-off and his entire unit of Necrons was destroyed from Sweeping Advance.

After the battle I painted his bionic eye a bright glowing Necron green, as if he took it from the Lord as a trophy.

My friend went out and bought new dice.

we rapid fired a chaos daemon who deep striked and killed it.
orb bombard killed 8 csm's.
shot 14 cultists next turn
next turn termies came and we shot3 marines and lost 2 termies and predator and 1 whole scouts and 9 devastators and a rhino with 7 tacs
the last of the cultists charged and died
next turn we got van vets and 2 pods wiv tacs came but chaos allied tua comes in. they kill 1 tac squad and a termy but then valkyrie comes in with guard and we kill riptide.then they shot down valkyrie and lr battle tank and last termy and all devastators and some guards.
all hope was lost,untill we charged and hurt enemy base 23 marines and 12 fire warriors chaos lord andbattlesuits

in the end th chapter master and the 4 tacs were the last against cadre f blade and 7 fire warr and 3 path finders and 4 csm and dreadnought.
we dug in a crater and sot 4 fire warr
no casualties
we killed dreadnought wiv plas cannon and killed a fire warr
non dead
killed 3 p finders
lost plas cannon
killed 3 fire warriors
charged
overwatch 2 guys sgt helps c master kill fire wars
everyone joined in
we killed all but cadre with 2 wound left thensgt died and c m killed him.

The most awesome thing my Soul Grinder ever did was kill Eldrad top of Turn 1...hit on the scatter dice, Eldrad failed 3 Look Out Sirs as my opponent poorly placed him up front, and failed all his invul saves. AWESOME!

And the most awesome thing my Heldrake has done was go into Reserves in Turn 4, then in Turn 5 he came back to Vector Strike half a squad of Guardsmen on a 4 point objective in the Scouring, which were then completely wiped out from the Warpstorm Nurgle's Rot result, and then Baleflaming a 2nd unit of Guardsmen on a 3 point objective, who were also Burning Branded by my Nurgle DP too. That won me Game 2 in the Feast of Blades Qualifier, HOORAY!

But the super greatest feat I can remember was my Lord of Change winning me my only game vs Tyranids, EVER (I think ever). I think he killed 3 or 4 units, big multi-wound units. That was back in 4th edition on the cave terrain at Chicago's Battle Bunker. What a game!

I had a Blender Dread face a CSM DP and beat it in Close Combat with my Blood Talons!!!

A horde of khorne bezerkers charged across the entire board taking a pounding from 3 leman Russ for almost 4 turns. I think there were about 6 of them left and yet they hacked through around 100 guardsmen.
Another time my KoS killed the majority of a combined chaos and DE army one turn killing 5 terminators.

BA vs IG
I was playing blood angles and my friend imperial guards men. By turn four he had taken both objectives and seeing how I had already lost decided to charge my Assault marines straight in to his wall of death and just fall short of the charge my 2 when its his turn he decides to go over kill and uses the first rank fire second rank fire and gets about 70 shots at my assault marines and kills 9 the only one left was the commander with power ax and storm shield and he saves about 20 shots and next turn charges the closest squad and kills about 4. I may have lost the game but the look on his face was priceless when he failed to kill the sergeant

I have a single necron warrior modelled with a his fists in the air like old british boxing. I aply named him "fisty cuffs" just for fun... He is a really good boxer as he is 2-0 vs 2 carnifex's.... the first time he was the only one left in the sqaud was charged by an unupgraded carni in cover with 2 wounds left. Smacked once and wounded, failed save. He survived the retaliation amazingly and smaked the carni out in the next round of combat. (Yay lots of 6's).

The second match up, different nid player than the first, carni had full upgrades, overwatch took him to his last wound. He ate the squad, which had already taken damage from a mawlock. Fisty Cuffs came through again and laid the carni out. Woot Woot.

I no longer play crons but I kept Fisty Cuffs as a reminder even the little guy can be amazing.

Yesturday, I was playing Driagowing allied with Farsight Enclave vs Necron.

T1, Monolith sucks Dreadknight into his portal portal.
T2 Monolith sucks Riptide into his portal as I forgot to move during the assault phase.
Down 590pts in a 1500pt game.

Managed to claw my way back ending on 6 with Objectives 1-1 and lost due to giving up first blood. Had it ended on 5 i had actually stolen the win.


*On a side note. Losing the Dreadknight T1 wasn't possible as we started over 24" apart and Dreadknight moved up 12". There is no way that the Monolith should have been within 4" as it can only move 6", I think it got moved 12" and I didn't notice...

Single broadside squad using target locks againt Eldar.

1 shoots at a WS with is SS still up 4 to hit 5 to pen then he proceeds to roll double 1 for its SS and cover save then I blow it sky high.

2nd broadside targets another WS and blows it up (no SS and less cover for this 1 so not as lucky)

The drones in the squad do their part by shooting at some warp spider and killing a few.

Single unit takes out 2 WS and some warp spiders in a single turn of shooting.

My opponent was not impressed.

I have had the remains of an ork boy squad (2 or 3 choppas remaining) wipe out a full Guardsmen squad in combat, survive a round of being shot at, and then assault the Command Squad forcing them to fall off the table edge when I won combat.


Also, if it's opposite day:
I had a full squad of 20 Stormboys drop ontop of a Land Raider and get turned into a fresh coat of blood-red paint and gory hood-ornaments. Scatter 9 or 10 inches directly onto enemy Vehicle, roll 1 on Mishap table, lose 1/5th of my army.

Not a huge fight but still entertaining. At first tourney last week. I have a single remaining gargoyle charge 3 TH/SS termis. Two attacks, one hits with a 6 to autowound. Termi fails his save. Gargoyle gets flattened after but still hilarious

the best trolling event recently was my GK Vs IG

he had: 3 vendettas, 2 vanquishers, 2 leman russ and a executioner... I though 'I've had it'

the mission: 'emperors will' uh oh...

I got first turn, busted a chimera (strategy: we've got first blood now camp like hell )

what happened next was just well... the most incompetent IG player I have ever played , it took him 4 turns to bust my Landraider and by then he had to really rush to even have a chance of winning, even in that he failed thanks to me stalling his advance and hugging cover etc (like what you are suppose to do).

He used the army totally wrong and got outplayed, moreover he couldn't understand why I had not gone after him instead. I should have told him I had used tactics inspired by 'real life'

I run a Space Wolf Lone Wolf, with a Thunderhammer, stormshield and two fenrisian wolves. - the best moment with him i can recall are as follows:

- he's smashed up a land raider crusaider, then went on to blow up a vindicator

- Killed a Hive tyrant with 2 guard and then a trygon

people down my gaming club resent this model because he just refuses to be put down!


Had a game against grey knights - my long fang squad got whittled down to one missile launcher guy - no mater what the grey knights fired at it, he just would not go down - in fact he very slowly managed to glance a land raider to death by himself before the end of the game!

I over watch and get one wound off.

I shot at my brother's archon and his retinue on jetbikes with my fire dragons, all of my guns were out of range apart from my exarch's firepike (this was 5th ed before pre-measuring). I hit, I wound, my brother attempts to save on his shadow field... he fails, I instant death his Archon. My fire dragons were the unit of the match ...

Except the rule that a roll of one always fail is only applied to characteristics tests, for vehicles you can either roll under the AV, which fails, equal which gives you a glancing hit and over for a penetrating hit. So S10 will always damage AV11 vehicles as long as you hit.
