Destroyed a Death Company Dread in overwatch with a plasma gunner xD

I haven't been playing for a long streak, in fact I've only played one game of 6th ed. But I ended that one game by throwing a singing spear into the torso of the very last bolter marine. And it pierced both his hearts.

first 'proper' game of 6th ed today and i took out lucius the eternal and his 5 berzerker squad he'd joined with my first shot in the game with a demolisher siege cannon. I wish i'd brought an egg cup for the other guys tears - it was emotional

The most awesome thing I've done with my Termagants was table Shadowsun and the Warp Spiders she was with on turn one of the game. All because of the -1 to Leadership thanks to getting a wound with Devourers...

The best part was that this was the first time my buddy was using her, seeing what she could do.

2nd edition I capped the guardians off of 3 jet bikes. The bikes didn't crash, they kept scattering. The bikes ended up ramming a few marines and killing them. I even had a techmarine make a run for it, but the bike kept turning and drifting at him. Chased him for 3 turns before it caught him.

Yeah, the bikes became lethal killing machines once the riders were removed.

This past weekend at a tournament, I deepstriked a monolith on Turn2 and landed directly in front of a full wound-count Riptide.

Needless to say the Riptides failed his toughness test and got sucked into the portal.

After my whole army shot at it to no avail (rest of his army sat still waiting to get in range), my DA rhino (angel wings painted on front armour) w/ hunter-killer missile used said missile to down a grey knights stormraven (only killing 1 terminator inside, but managed to put a hull point on the dreadnought next to it). Later in that battle, it blocked LOS from a vindicare assassin and razorback to a single tac. marine holding a central obj. and withstood the onslaught from the 2 w/o being destroyed. That rhino is now an honoured member of my army and is still there when I am in need.

Tyranids vs Space Wolves, back in 5th Edition, its been awhile

Bjorn the Fell Handed vs my Trygon. Bjorn either ds or walked over to my side but he getsin Range of my Trygon which finishes eating a Terminator squad (previously shot by a devilgaunt pod squad) and has one wound left but I regen one (yes I took regen). The only thing that could stop him and he was in a ruin of course I move 6" run 3" and assault he causes one wound, then I attack 7 hits one wound failed save pen a 6 and the my opponent tells me I have to reroll my pen ... really so reroll pray pen, a 6. My opponent was my cousin proxying his sm as sw and never took sw ever again. My Trygon became a prime after that with Blue accents.

Back in third ed. friend was about to boost his wave serpent with banshees into my tau line. The two free gun drones you get with a devilfish jumped behind the wave serpent and destroyed it. Since they were blocking the only access point all the banshees died too

I ran over the the Nightbringer with a rhino once. Remember kids, NEVER attempt death or glory!

In a more recent game, a Herald of nurgle with an Etherblade took out 4/5 of a deathwing squad while the plagueridden fought the HQ in a challenge, and won. Go go etherblades! That whole game was just such a soul crushing defeat for the deathwing player. He killed a soul grinder and 1 plaguebearer. He was wiped off the table by turn 4.

I took out a cron air list in 2 turns with lucky shots from my DE.

Downed 2 doom scythes and 2 nightscythes on second turn after they came on and 3 more night scythes on third turn.

There were a lot of raider dark lances rolling 6s to hit, then 4+ to pen and then 5,6 to explode. It seemed like I just kept rolling 6s. The dice werent loaded, the rest of my shooting was average, took a while to kill his scarabs, warriors and wraiths but I won that game rather quickly with pure luck.

Last year we played an Apocalypse game right after HH betreyal was released and my friend wanted to try Horus Lupercal himself and we figure that it's apoc and he has fewer models so why not. On turn three he deep strikes in with aome chaos terminators and tries to whack my GK terminators with his orbital strike, despite it beeing twin-linked it still scatters on top of two of his own terminators, one of my and 4 bloodletters all of which he kill. The following turn the cavalry arrives in the form of a stormraven with a librarian and more terminators who dissembark and the librarian throws his vortex grenade right on Lupercal who is then sucked into the warp toghether with his entire bodyguard.

And that is how the heresy was stopped by a random librarian with a vortex grenade.

One guardsmen killing 4 terminators. He was by himself, yet made his morale check. He rapid fired at the four one turn, bringing them down to two, then overwatched the next turn, killing the final two that were charging him. He had rolled all sixes. Needless to say, this model was converted to be a Sargent.

Running my normal screen of 18 Gretchin + Runtherd with a KFF Big Mek. Rolled 5+ cover saves like a maniac. 5 Grots made it across the board and scratched their heads.

My first time facing Necrons with a monolith, my Godhammer Landraider could only see it with 1 lascannon. Using PotMS it one-shot the Necron heavy vehicle and turned it into a crater turn 1. Opponent was not amused.

1250pts of in-your-face CSM vs my buddy's Tau Farsight Enclave, heavy on the suits.
A Rhino w/Dirge Caster stopped his missile drones, crisis suits, riptide, and sniper squad from firing overwatch on my Daemon Prince of Tzeentch, and a maulerfiend. The DP & Fiend then slammed into his suits, killed enough to run them off the table.
Next turn, he moves in Commander Farsight (warlord) & his remaining suits, attempting to kill my DP (warlord). The tank shock successfully runs the crisis suits off the table.
Farsight decides to do a Death or Glory! stand. Hits, pens, and nails the only roll that wouldn't stop the rhino; weapon destroyed. Farsight gets run over, and I tabled his tau force Turn 3.

Best 40pts I ever spent.

One time my Kharn was left in combat with a single gaunt. Kharn completely whiffs ALL his attacks, the gaunt attacks back, wounding, and killing kharn. It was not a happy day for me, at least blood was spilled for Khorne.

Back in 2nd edition i had a SOB cannoness kill an entire berzerker squad. More recently, my tzeentch warpsmith killed a Riptide in close combat by himself. Also that same battle, my 20 man cultist squad killed a previously wounded riptide in CQB. Go cultists!

Most awesome thing I've done? Hmm let me think, was playing against some eldar (before the ndew codex) chArged a wraithlord with 3 ork boyz knowing they will die just trying to stall it for one turn.
Round one- pass fear test. lord kills two boyz, boy does nothing yet surprisingly pass morale. Yes!! he is stuck and can't do anything for now in his turn
Round two-passfear lord whiffs attacks,(sweet!) I can't do anything and stay in combat.
Round three-pass fear again. lord hits with one attack ( I think ok at least I held it off for two rounds of combat) roll to wound, its a ONE! OH MY GOD HE IS STILL ALIVE!
Round four- sadly the little guy died.

Dropped a drop pod full off grey hunters inside someone's aegis defense line. Shot the scout squad off the gun. Next turn used their quad gun to shoot down there stormtalon.

Let's see...
Tyranids v DEldar - lost two units of spawned Gants, he had 3 Flyers left. MVP of the game: Doom, took out a squad of Warriors with Haemonculus and a squad of Wyches with a Succubus. By himself. From turn 2-4.

Tyranids v IG (mech) - had his entire army sitting in Chimeras on a Skyshield (forgot to raise the shield (oops)). 3 Mawlocs later on Turn 2 and it was all over...

Squad of Pathfinders got charged by a squad of Terminators. Failed their morale check, fell back, Heroically regrouped, Snap fired the last two remaining Rangers, double 6's followed by double 6's followed by double 1's on the two remaining Terminators.

Orks v SM (as spectator) - Warboss (lord) had FNP within 3" of objective. Picked up Relic, the entire mob of boyz charged the SM company hiding behind an ADL.

Same thing except against a lowly Guardsman...

I haven't played very long but this is definitely one of my favorite moments.
Chaos vs Tau
I had Zhufor near two, ten man Tau fire squads. I shot three times into one, killing 3, then charged them. With my seven attacks I killed all the remaining Tau warriors. Next turn I did the same thing to the next squad and made it out alive with 1 wound left after all the overwatchs and shots I took.

Had a Callidus absolutely murder a Farsight bomb that had already lost some drones. Rolled a 6 for polymorphine strikes coming out of reserves and absolutely wailed on them with a perfectly placed neural shredder. Granted, it didn't kill the already weakened unit, but it seriously neutered it.

As if that wasn't enough, she survived their turn's shooting, (largely due to multiple other more threatening units in position to assault their Gunline) and, due to the board situation limiting acceptable movement for the overextended tau suits, made it into combat with a riptide.... And Instant Death'd it by getting two wounds through and the tide failing one save.

After getting humiliated by Tau earlier in the day, I pretty much lost it at this point. Painted an I on her shoulder in Tau Blue, gonna tally MC kills although I don't ever expect that to work out again. I only use her as a distraction, deploying her against the bomb was a move of desperation.

Lucky exploitation of tactical mistake on his part, with god-like super rolls.

I finally was able to get up to something and smash it with my Battlewagon's deffrolla just last night.

It was a Daemon Prince.

Someone's beautifully painted metal Hive Tyrant got knocked off the table, but I managed to jump close enough and stick a leg out to catch it with my foot.

Sadly, as a general on the field, I haven't had any epic moments.

When I made cover saving throws for my Scout marines when a full squadron of Obliterators were shooting at them with LASCANNONS.

Last turn of an Apoc game my opponent charged his unit of Black Templar Terminators at a cluster of my units. A single Gun Drone, a Devil Fish that was providing Fish o Fury Cover for 3 Pathfinders and a nearby Crisis suit. I killed one Termi with Supporting fire and the remaining 5 disorganized charged all the units. We decided to start with the drone and work clockwise. Drone was I4 while his Termi was swinging on I1. I rolled a 6 to hit.. 6 to wound.. turned and looked at him in all seriousnes and said "You're going to roll a 1 for your save." and sure enough, he did. My 14 point Gun Drone that came on a Devilfish took out his 40 point Terminator.

After we all calmed down he moved on to the transport and opened it like a can opener. It exploded 3 inches, hit the gun drone, wounded it.. and it failed its 4+ armor save.

Content: my 5th ed (not the WD dex either) cannoness (yay, items give her a 2+ invuln with faith) was on the wrong end of 50 lasguns, 6 lascannons, 2 battle cannons, a plasma gun, and 4 bolters.

Weathered every single shot, blew up a tank with her inferno pistol, and died to the first lasgunner squad in the next enemy shooting phase. Derp.

I leveled a paladin squad with demolition charges. Two vets squads with the demo doctrine hulled up in chimeras. Needless to say, they all got promotions.

My miracle dire avenger. Playing vs tau, got tabled all expet this little guy. Played vs different tau, rest of squad died.... Not him. Next game... Didn't die. Hasn't died since.
After a while a redid his paint job, gave him a bad a axe, a sheild.. And now he's an exarch!

Oh yes and the amazing one-shot-pen-blow-up-on-their-turn-stormraven, from my icuras las cannon.

All with d scythes , flames IG command squad with Cato Sicarus. Cato plus one dude lives. He charges with just Cato, and I'm like bring it... Wall of death time. Hits ten times. need 4+... Should get at least 5.

2. I wounded with two. "sigh".
Then Cato proceeds to kill a wraith gaurd every turn, even tho he needed 3s then 6s with 4 attacks. I coudnt kill him worth nothing, and because he was challenging me, I coudnt attack with sprint sear. Finally he kills al, 5, my spirit sear finally attacks, and kills him. Man o man. What a bunch of good/bad luck.
