Just finished the main story. Option C for me. Very satisfying ending, and a great game overall.
Just messing around now with random stuff.
The disappearing car glitch is kind of annoying though. Makes me not want to buy any cars or store them in my garage.

GTA Online sounds like its going to be fantastic with lots of content.
Planning your own Heists.
Robbing banks.
Owning your own cars.
Stealing other players cars.
Locking your car so other players can't steal it.
Mugging other players for their money.
Racing to an ATM machine to deposit your newly stolen cash before someone mugs you for it.
Owning your own high rise apartment.
Throwing a party for your friends in your own apartment.
Races. Land, Air, Sea.
A Police Officer mode.
Cops & Robbers PVP mode.
A mission editor so you can design your own game modes/maps.
All the typical structured gameplay modes from Red Dead Redemption and GTA IV.
Creating your own characters!
If its possible to have multiple characters, I'm going to recreate Jax, the biker gang member from Sons of Anarchy...And a girl. Because a girl in high heels kicking the crap out of male characters should be hilarious.

I enjoyed GTA V immensely. My only regret is that I wish Rockstar had tied the various disparate side activities into the main game a bit more, rather than leaving them as an aside. With Vice City, I wanted to own all of the various businesses as it tied into the game goal of essentially taking over Vice City, both as a criminal and as a legitimate business man. With GTA V, I don't feel like there is such a drive. What's the point of owning all of them - it has no benefit on gameplay? More to the point, who is going to be able to generate the $150m to buy the golf club? I don't play Xbox Live so the Bawsaq is unavailable to me. It is annoying that this has carried into the single player game; there are several assassination missions where you can make an awful lot of money from buying certain stocks prior or after the hit; unfortunately, 2 or 3 of the stocks in questions are Bawsaq ones so I can't trade in them.
I have played and completed every single GTA game 100% prior to this one but after having done so, my motivation to collecting letter scraps, submarine parts, spacecraft bits etc etc is at a bit of a low. I think this might be the first GTA game that I don't finish completely.
On the plus side, the main single player story and game was excellent.

GTA online doesn't seem to work at all for me. Apart from being able to join random games with no progression. I've got to sit through a lengthy CharGen and cutscene process with absolutely no idea if it will end up working. So far it hasn't 3 times. My internet sucks and they are trying to launch what is almost an MMO with nom experience in the genre(i have played it but without being able to save any progress, it's basically a really small scale mmo with between 4-8 players per 'Map' and various jobs to do plus a barebones story) and this is the first day so i'll cut them some slack. However having to keep creating characters and keep watching the same Cutscene is immensely frustrating. Especially considering there is no information communicated about queues or likely waiting period just a 'Launching mission' prompt that spins eternally. I would prefer to know if i am 229/230 in a queue rather than be completely clueless. It seems top be ALOT of fun though but playing without the ability to save my progress leaves a sour taste. EDIT: The game is already the best thing i've played in years so i don't view the online as anything more than a bonus.

Cheers for that! I would never have guessed, or indeed mentioned it in the post. EDIT: Also the servers are not experiencing problems, Rockstar Simply haven't accounted for demand perhaps purposefully or not. As i mentioned i'll cut them some slack because they've never launched an MMO before. What i found frustrating is the long unskippable delay before i can work out if it's working and the fact i can play the game fine with other people just without being able to save. I would rather they were more transparent, or simply allowed me to at least save the CharGen data and skip the cutscene.

All Better now. Wow GTA online is pretty dang good. The Group PvE missions are a highlight but the races are pretty good. Deathmatch is Horrid but i kinda expected that.
Me and 3 others all agreed to retry a tricky mission multiple times then continued on to a quick Dune Buggy race. All without chat.
There seems to be a good exploit to get money, join or make a match with no team balancing, make sure the lobby has precisely enough players to fill out a team but no more, get money.
A minor problem is that it's unclear how the wanted system works on multiplayer heists. I am unsure whether i should take my own vehicle and lure the cops to me, so the other player can escape more easily (Personal wanted ratings) or not bother(a single team wanted rating).
One major problem is the RIDICULOUS scope for griefing. Also the so-called 'Passive Mode' they've implemented to stop it (which costs you (a little) money) Doesn't seem to stop you being run over or as far as i can tell being shot. It only seems to limit your ability to switch weapons.

Sad day indeed to fail the launch of GTA Online.
However I cannot believe the amount of whiners and babies commenting on the internet how they are saying "I want my money back" "GTA 5 sucks" "F*** this game" and other stuff right after the launch of GTA Online.
Idiots..... We have this coming, Rockstar is famous for delaying their games and put in much effort in them to be bug free and fun at its best
Atleast its Rockstar and doesn't push out games early and end up being bad like what EA does often.
-----With that being said, I just don't like the awful character customization. Its new with its whole "Family heritage" Which is really strange for a game like this.

The Character Generator must be the worst I have ever seen. Defiance had a far better system, despite its very limited options, because it allowed you to directly alter your characters appearence. GTA makes you fiddle with genetics, picking grandparents and parents to see how the genes affect your characters appearence. Thats OK to set your initial appearence but to not allow you to directly alter your characters appearence to your own preference?
Good luck getting any character to resemble yourself, or anybody specific whatsoever.

agreed on this, its nice to see a company try to come up with a new way to do character creation but I think creation is one of those if it ant broke...

I think it's a way to stop people having ridiculous characters, also it saves on server load because there are only actually a set number of faces available. It is a bit weird though, you wonder why they didn't just have a set number of faces to choose from. I wasn't expecting much character customization tbh. I thought they'd just have the GTA 4 'Choose a civilian character model' thing. My guy doesn't look stupid and that's enough for me, i actually think i lucked out, my guy's face is actually fairly well modelled and doesn't look as Potato-ey as everyone else. I don't think i'll be playing it hardcore as the shooting just isn't that fun PvP but it is fun to dip into because of the fun mission design and effective way it populates matches/missions and general (now the launch is over) stability, not counting the hit to the graphics it takes.

Rockstar delays games because they want them to be perfect, they take their TIME because they don't want to make a POS game. They have overall better DLC's. Undead Nightmare, Lost & Damned, Ballad of Gay Tony, its better than a piece of DLC clothing that consists a dollar each.
Just saying, they are overall a good game company, not the best, just good. But if you are so Impatient that it hurts your soul to wait a day or two, I understand.
- Btw they fixed it up a bit with the whole "Can't join host" or something. Still getting a few crashes when I finish a mission or two. I SMELL PROGRESSION.

No more then the airport scene from MW2. And by that I mean not at all.

I didn't find "No Russian" particularly shocking.
I think it's the fact that the acting is noticeably better in GTA, well that scene specifically. Just thought "Torture this Arab looking guy" was a bit much for a game that has it's tongue firmly in it's cheek...

For a game as violent, misogynistic, hopeless and nihilistic as this, the offline Grand Theft Auto 5 is quite simply amazing. It's got its flaws, but it's the first GTA I've enjoyed since Vice City. The driving mechanics have been overhauled to the point where even the top supercars feel driveable and even the slower trucks and utility vehicles are engaging, with a good weight and the ability to simply blitz everything in your way.
You don't lose your guns when you die (hooray!), the cars no longer blow up* which is possibly the second thing you'll notice in the game, the first being how much better all the cars are to drive. The graphics manage to be gorgeous with lovely scenery, impressive sunsets and character that move and behave so realistically it's like they smothered live actors in play-dough.
* They can, but the cars are now so tough you have to be driving like a prat. They last about five hundred times longer than the uncontrollable tin cans from GTA: San Andreas.
As for the acting, this is what quite simply elevates it into the realm of uncatchability - I even invented a new word for it. I said to my brother that it's like the greatest gangster film ever made, one that appeals to people who wouldn't normally be interested. It's like Goodfellas with the sense of levity of Bugsy Malone.
Every time I play this game I forget the missions and end up cruising over the countryside in whatever car is to hand - I don't even hunt for supercars, nearly every type of vehicle is a delight to drive.
Once the online mess is sorted out and we can actually play with friends, I am anticipating more time exploring and getting chases off the cops than I am doing missions.
EDIT: Is it true that the entire GTA: San Andreas map is part of this game?

Torture scene?
Well....Its not real, so I don't really think any of it, except these are actually real torture methods, the gas waterboarding was a bit brutal, plus the "Wrench" to the balls was BRUTAL.
Only time I went like "WTF" in this game Is when that assistant girl took the movie reel and got caught in the planes engine.
That was brutal.
But a person once told me about this game, its a parody of our real world. And our real world can be disturbing on the dark side of it.
