Yes, she's a resin cast. I do prefer a hefty metal mini but I'm not complaining at all, she's a great piece and full of character. I'll have to show you the side by side with own badger who I made before I'd seen the scale of Oathsworn's "massive" creatures which, lets just say isn't quite as massive as I'd imagined.

I've been a busy sculpting other things but I'm back in Burrows & Badgers mode and cracking on with the milliput.
Another bird because apparently I hate myself and the fox. These are the two I have the most solid notion of what I'm going for. The Swan will be a straight up Royal Guard/beefeater type with a halberd. Then the fox will be a rich Victorian gentleman with a top hat and cane. (He's actually from a Hedgee's Heroes story. The evil Barron Von Clinkels. )

I love a good crossover, I cant wait to see the baron, he sounds cool. The beefeater swan sounds a cool combo too

Thanks gobert.
I'm looking forward to seeing them coming together. In the meantime, not to focus my attention too much on just two sculpts, I've cracked on with the other two as well.
Moreheim bits always come in handy.

Update on progress with this lot.
Ive been having trouble with the soft wire I used for the armatures. Far too soft and prone to bending even with a layer of milliput and greenstuff on top. I may have to fix some legs with stiffer wire at some point.
And yes the eagle eyes among you might note I've been using brown stuff too. I don't find it much different than greenstuff to be honest. It's a bit softer I think, unless I'm just mixing it wrong. I like working with it.
Anyway, beefeater swan has the feet an legs done and the top of his uniform with an embroidered crown on the breast.
The Barron is mostly a Victorian clotheshorse at this point. That doofy hat is just a skeleton to support a propper stovepipe top hat in the future.
The weasel brothers are now sporting a variety of armour types. Been playing with textures a bit to do chainmail and scale armour. I'm planning on making them both some pretty nasty looking critters, though my record tends toward the cute and fluffy so we'll see.
I also plan on bagging some dirt-cheap eBay rejects of the Skaven variety to fix up. I'd actually like to try and Cuteify them for Burrows and Badgers purpouses if at all possible. Just for fun. Depends on what I can find I suppose.

Great update! The ruffles and crown on the swan are cool, good luck with the feathers though! I quite like the barons bowler hat, but clearly an Isambard Kingdom Brunel style stovepipe is superior!

Thanks everyone for your comments and encouragement. You're all keeping me going to see this lot through to the final stage. (Which involves wings again! Kill me now) I'm having a great time with these latest creatures so far so I'll crack on with a bit more detailed of an update this time.
Starting with the stoaty/ferrets. I've gotten a fairly high percentage completed with just the heads still to do and the hands on that two-handed sword.
A rear view shows some of the detail going on there. Really enjoying the two different armour styles on these two but trying not to over complicate things. I'll have to give them a solid eyeballing one their heads are done just to see if anyone needs a hat!
Then scaling up to the big boys,
The Barron is coming together at last and the Swan is a couple of wings away from parade-ready. The top hat has begun to take shape, it just needs a rim but I'll do that after I've done his face.
The swan's hat is at skeleton stage just now but will eventually have flowers and everything! I might clip that pole axe down to size a bit too.
Then old foxy has both panels of his coat on the back complete but only one in front as I had to set the arms in place before I fit the last one around his little teapot handle left hip lean. That'll be next, followed by coat sleeves and hands and a fuzzy little face.
Lots of work still to do on these.

Looking good. I do weirdly like the improbably small hat and large poleaxe on the swan--they seem like the type for it.

So much love for the swan. I do hope I'll be able to finish him/her soon. What we need is a name now.

Pneumo wrote:I have to agree with vejut, the tiny hat and the large Pole axe just fit together perfectly. Really liking the look of it
Well now the final layer on the hat is done and it's naturally a bit bigger and I've also clipped about a cm off the pole so the axe is a bit shorter. Hopefully neither will ruin the effect.
Feather sculpting has begun but rather than spam another small step update I'll maybe just show them all finished when I get there. Unless anyone is really keen to see each stage of the build up in granular detail. I'm never sure how useful that is to anyone. Fox's coat is done with the left front and sleeves complete, one of the ferrets is complete and he other is a head away from done at this stage.
Thanks for your interest and comments. Looking forward to painting somemore soon. Dave and Tommy are still languishing in sad grey primer.

Thanks SpaceGoblin, I was chuffed to have the opportunity to sculpt a ruff though it's was a bit tricky and it's a bit messy and not maybe as sharp as I'd like it to be.
Anyway, quick pic just to make you all laugh.
More birds! I know, yikes! Going for a sparrowhawk (medium raptor) and a great horned owl (large raptor)

Thanks gobert, and you know I wish I was loving it but in all honesty feathers are a melt.
See, the boy wants an owl but he didn't like the first one I made because he wants Hedgee to be able to ride on its back so I had to make another one in flight pose. So now I have two.
Anyway, progress to show with two ferrets/stoats/whatever's completed.
Propper gritty these guys. None too cute and cuddly afterall.

Thanks you both very much. I'm happy that so far at least they're not too cute. But it still might all come down to the paintbrush.
In other news...
The Barron Von Klinkels at your service. In two minds about adding a monacle. I'll maybe paint him up first and then see.

Thanks folks. Looking forward to seeing more paint on these when I'm in the mood to get on it.
In the meantime
Sculpt while the sculpting is good. Ready to hit these with some green (and brown) soon. Think I'm going for a Viking themed sparrowhawk but ideas for the owl are still eluding me.

First thing that comes to mind is a Ninja. Stealthy night bird and all. Dunno why, possibly the large eyes on most owls, or the old ORLY meme, but the second thought would be "villager in a panic"

Ninja owl might be good. Though I'm not keen on a hood as the Oathsworn sparrow I have already has one and I don't want to do the same thing. I'm ready Harry Potter to the boy these days and might go with a Hogwarts owl theme.
