Neither this nor the Adepti-con tournament are official GW events AFAIK, so I don't know if anyone cares about strict model requirements. I've seen some pretty amazing IG Vulture conversions, for example.

@Strangeloper The store is really nice, super clean and last time I was there they had about 6 tables going. He has weird hours (Tuesday and Thursday night and Sunday days) but the store is very organized and well put together.

Heya folks, I might be going out to one of these stores to get some paints and more glue one of these coming weekends if/when I have time . Once I can get some work done on my Knights I can bring them along,

I need to finish all the 1500 or so points I have in my possession. I've only built about 1100 and I went and ran out of glue... I want to get at least a some of them painted so they aren't TOO Grey. So it may be a couple of weeks depending on life and what have you. I'd still like to watch and learn though.

I'll probably come with my bud because I can't drive on my own yet, I couldn't say what if anything he'd bring, SM or DW probably. Him and I have only ever gone to HSG and the SQ1 GW but where we can go is all up to him. Plus we've only played against each other and one other friend, so we'll both be starting from the ground up, we do have the hang of most things though.

Syrell: welcome. You guys should come to Legends Sunday. We always have some games going on and everyone is cool. Watch, play, hang out.

I've confirmed days, I'm availiable saterday and thursday later afternoon/evening if anyone wants games. I've started painting my vehicles so the don't ugly up my army. And I've started glueing the first stages of chaos together.

Yeah I popped in there last night to check it out. Big space for sure and lots of merchandise! Not well signed on the outside of the building though, I'm glad I had the address down. 290 is one of several entrances in one huge building.

The gaming tables are in the middle of the store with all the merch against the walls around them; but there is sufficient space between the tables and the merch racks so it's not an issue (vs somewhere like 401 games where you have to climb over the MtG players to look at the RPG books). I guess I'm just used to DG where there are separate rooms for gaming and shopping Almost all the tables at Meeplemart were in use last night (bloodbowl mostly).

Prices for GW stuff are well discounted (ie Heavy Support levels of discount) which is nice - now I don't need to ride the TTC for an hour to buy stuff at a reasonable price. This may be dangerous for me... . All in all I look forward to gaming at Meeplemart I could be up for a game there this weekend if anyone is interested...?

Sadly Legends is a bit too far for me for regular gaming, though it seems like you guys get a good turnout there on Sundays.

I was at meeplemart a couple weeks back,its not a bad place, and close by just a quick streetcar ride away for me.

Anyone up for a game this friday? Maybe at GW Y&L?

Stranglelooper: I don't mind picking people up at the Downsview subway station for Sunday gaming and dropping them off afterwards, so if you do want to come out to Legends and check it out this Sunday, just let me know before someone else claims my only available seat in my car.

Soooo... today I was royally obliterated by Rythem's stupid Tyranids. Yes.. it is very annoying when 12 Dark Lance shots, 4 missiles, 4 blaster shots and at least 36 poison shots fail to destroy one single unit of gaunts sitting on a hill. The last one to live was simply lying on his side, gone to ground, basking in the sun. So irritating! 1 Tie and 1 Loss for me today. Oh.. and thanks for dragging the 5th and 6 th turns out as long as possible despite the fact that I could not remotely even come close to taking back the game! he he... I guess I deserved it...you did make a good point... "I am doing it because you trash talk so much". Valid.

@JonST: Friday night is Fantasy night lol. People still show up with 40k? I wish there were more Fantasy players. I know Thursday, 40k night, is really, really busy, which just shows how popular 40k is.

@Dark Eldar Elite: You too will your very own pet space cockroaches! Your Termagants are complete, and ready to devour for the Hive Mind! Big man, Hive Tyrant, is almost done as well....and half of your Battleforce, including Mr. Carnifex, is taking a bath in simple green. They looked dirty, so I'm giving them a good bath for about a week or two. (What I mean really is that horrendous green paint job was awful, so I plan on stripping it off, and painting them Hive Fleet Behemoth to match the rest of the army.)

I appreciate the offer DEE: what time do you plan to pick up? The last message I saw in this thread about Downsview pickup was 10:30am on Sunday. At 10:30am on Sundays I am usually merely musing about waking up (but I usually think better of it and go back to sleep until Vinyl Cafe comes on the radio). It would take me about an hour on the TTC to get to Downsview, so rising in time to get there for 10:30 is unlikely.

If someone was willing to pop out and get me closer to, say, 12:30 or 1:30pm, that would be brilliant! But I fear that all you early risers would be deep into your second games by then and that would be too much of an imposition.

lol, still good games either way, and you could of conceded at any point . Though all kidding aside was a great day of gaming and kungfu dropped by and we chatted about his upcomming chaos army and i ordered my trygon today because it would be nice to hit 2k points without having to use a verticle rhino as proxy. Though if dark's tyranid army is getting painted up it might be time for me to get off my butt and finish painting my gaunts.

Is anyone up for some games thursday evening at legends? I'm availiable until closing, but I'm not going to know what time in the afternoon I'll be able to start at until tomorrow when the electrician finishes up wiring some lights. If anyone is up for some late afternoon gaming, I'll post or pm you when I know exactly what time.

Kungfujew: I will be home by about 4 p.m. We could probably get a game in before they close... they close at 9 p.m. If easier, we could just schedule a game for 6 p.m. if that works for you. If you want to start at a different time, let me know and I will confirm if it is possible. But it would have to be after 4 p.m. I actually have to work tomorrow... I know... sometimes I actually do work...

We can do 1500 or 1750 or 1850 or 2000 points... up to you and what you can bring. 6 p.m. sounds good for me. So, I am confirming 6 p.m. If there is any change to the plan, just let me know. I will check the forum before I head to Legends. What army do you play? Are you tank happy or assault happy? Just curious... has nothing to do with my preparation or anything... LOL

@CGBSpender - I had no idea it was fantasy night but it seems like the place doesnt get busy til 4 and the last thursday I was there there were some guys playing fantasy so I am willing to risk it lol.
