And from their site: http://www.ragingheroes.com/blogs/news/7779755

Someone on Facebook asked us this Sunday morning: "What's new today?" And this was our reply:

Saturday's work: updated several details on Lady von Stroheim's sculpt, created two new troopers for the Kurganova Schock Troops, rendered the opening trailer text for the KS video in After Effects, worked on the set up of a SciFi cargo bay environment in a new 3D software (again for the video), paid suppliers and sorted out bills for the accountant, replied to emails, began setting up the RH newsletter (on pre-KS launch), selected 10 new poses for the various upcoming TGG troopers.

But, you wonder, what about Sunday? Well, here goes:

Mostly worked on the first (and much more complex) half of the opening video for the Kickstarter today: remixed all the sound effects and music; did a brand-new edit; completed all the missing shots but one; integrated After Effects renders of the TGG concepts; and identified a few quirks that will be corrected tomorrow.
This part of the video is now virtually ready for final output, once we replace the temporary 3D renders of the sculpts for the final ones !

Made another two new troopers for the Kurganova Shock Troops.
Worked out several exciting (well, exciting for us) workflow-related stuff (can't say more, sorry,eyes-only).

Finally, caught up and sorted out the remaining paperwork for 2012 year-end accounting.
And, thanks to Wolf Wings' commitment, got two new drop locations for Kickstarter pledges in the Czech Republic: Ogří Doupě, in Praha and in Brno. (More on this topic here).

On Facebook, there was also this comment from a reader: "I know a few Kickstarters I've wanted to back have posted announcements for theirs I've no idea where, and by the time I got their newsletter a few days later all the pledge levels I would have backed have been filled."
So we replied:
Announcement will first be on our blog, immediately followed by Facebook and Twitter, on our brand-new Tumblr (check it out if you haven't yet), and Google+ (now that I've just set it up).
We intend to do a count-down to make it easier to follow.
Just not yet sure how we'll handle the newsletter to make it most effective, though, so suggestions are welcome!

PS: If you'd like your local shop to join in to our Kickstarter pledge drop point programme, feel free to ask them to come onboard. If there's an interest in joining in (or in finding out what's in it for them), send them over to fill out this form and we'll get the ball rolling, or just have them send us a quick email and we'll be in touch with them.

So there is going to be a countdown before the kickstarter begins. We haven't even begun that. So they'll even miss their April, self-imposed, deadline.

Looks like Deadzone will get a bit of funds then.

Heh depends on how short the countdown is. Although I am guessing they will be sneaking into May now looking at the calendar.

If they only offer to hold your pledge until everything is completed... then a lot of us would probably end up moving in the meantime...

Fair point!

My first game of W40K was with an army of space nuns. I've been smitten for no good reason by the idea of large squads of under-performing power armour-clad women with heavy flamers ever since.

I wonder if Raging Heroes will foray into vehicles?

I think mention was made of plastic vehicle kits, but I could be wrong here.

Will you be making plastic kits?
Not injected plastics, but definitely some cool stuff. More on that soon.

We've planned many special characters, as well as multi-part kits that will allow you to create most or all the units you may need for a full army, that will be usable in many contexts or game systems.

If you haven't had a chance to read through our previous Q&A's (see our previous blog entries), this will include at least one mecha, and some sort of motorcycle unit.

To the back of the line, Alpharius. We were here before you.

Don't forget, we'll be treated to an extra special countdown before the launch.

I'll wait for the KS to be over and order a couple of sets of the ones I want. In 2015.

I'm sure they'll be amazing, though.

Haven't wee been "treated" to anticipation for like, two months or something already?

I am getting tired of these "Kickstarter on the way!" threads. Post once it's about to drop, or, at most, maybe a week in advance to stir up excitement. This several months thing is tedious.

I agree, C6. I was so going to finally get my army of SoBs... and then the excitement waned, and now I'm not so sure.

I'm looking at the Kurganova boxset, and I am wondering if they will ever lead a glorious army, at least before the end of 2014.

Also, if this is not going to be plastic... please say restic and not metal. I'm fine with metal for a few heroes or skirmish games (curio full of Infinity and Malifaux to prove it) but an army... ugh.

Is the result of the second sweepstakes going to wait until the Kickstarter starts? Wasn't it supposed to end a week or so ago?

There haven't been any updates on their FB, though they have been plugging away at their Tumblr with random bits and bobs of hobby unrelated posts.

Good things come to those that wait?

Really though, so ready to jump in on this, the wait although I can understand, getting things right an all, hopefully getting some extra sculpts done.. is getting nigh on unbearable, in a good way, but a bit painful none the less.

I hope that all this extra time means we might get to see one or two actual miniatures (as opposed to art/renders) from the KS when it launches.

The KS stuff looks to be sufficiently different to raging heroes current range that I'd be more comfortable if they did so

True that.

If we've waited for this since Februray and they still do not have something tangible to show... I'll be a bit dismayed, and leaning very much in the direction of waiting for 2014... or 2015.

Had a long conversation with an associate who got back from ReaperCon, and he told some pretty eye opening issues with KS right now. There was a KS panel at ReaperCon with several completed and in progress Kickstarters. They included Reaper (obviously) and Tre from Red Box Games and a couple others. So you had the full range experiences.
There is a lot of stuff that can go wrong and a lot of things you don't expect. Main one all had trouble with was taxes and shipping. Most didn't expect it or underestimated the costs. Reaper officially stated shipping costs are over $1 million for their KS and they needed to rent a second warehouse to house all the Bones figures. Don't know if RH casts their figures in-house or have a third party do it, but the panel also pointed out most casting shops are booked solid thanks to all the figure KS. So lots of KS are finding they can't meet ship date due to delays on the casting end.
So that RH is taking their time and working out all the kinks is fine by me. Yea I'm excited for it, but would like them to not have any of the problems I heard from other KS.
