On second thought it might sound like a hum and lots of the old fluff of papa Nurgle has him humming or whistling a merry little tune .
He does have cheery uvula dancing around at the back of his throat. I can imagine he's belting out a tune.

Lol. That's pretty bonkers. Quite like it
As y'all have been so nice about him, here's a WIP, just starting to lay down colours with washes and ryza:
The next step is to wash the whole thing in Earthshade and apply weathering powders to the rust sections whilst wet. A messy job but one that's worked well so far.

Sighhhhhhhh he does have a very Iron Warriors vibe actually, doesn't he? You should check out the art in Justice League Odyssey, he's even more IW in that.
Busy, but better, week. Work less awful in the second half. Dug my heels in, got management involved, blahblahblah.
I think the DP is done, although the pics are not fantastic as (a) trying a new light set-up and (b) I got a bit over-excited. C&C welcome, I can easily tweak stuff.
Pierus, Daemon Prince of Nurgle
I wonder if the back is generally too samey.
And I wonder if he's sticky enough generally.
But as a DP with Talons x2 and Wings, I think I've hit the spot. He absolutely fits the look of my and fills out the baritones nicely
Also done are the last couple of Mirakuru-themed militia, still in their Iron Heights oranges.
Good god I'm glad to see the back of them
Got a massive amount of extra storage delivered from KR Multicase. I doubt I'll ever need to buy a case again. I've been a bit down on KR in the past but they've certainly upped their game. More on that to follow when I get the full thing written up.
I also got an A-CASE, a steel assemblage for transportation:
It's about £50/$70 plus shipping, so it's not cheap, but it's very solid (and does come with 40 neodymium magnets also) - here I've got the shelves set for marines. Remarkably lightweight, it's a good option if you want heavy duty but convenient transport. Trays slide in and out easily (held in by pins), and I like the adjustability especially. I'm forever fiddling with pick and pluck, trying to get it right for a given model, so this is a welcome alternative that's not time consuming (although it took about 20 mins of folding steel and feeling like Superman to build). This one will make a great Xmas present, for sure.
Got my boys some corvus helms for their Primaris stalkers:
A friend asked me if I could throw a quick piece of Joker terrain together for him. His instructions were, "I know you're busy, don't spend more than an hour on it."
I freaking love a challenge
So, remember that ridiculous MDF cherry crate? Bring on the LX tape!
Totally daft, but fun to do.
Oh, and picked up colour shift Martian Green (shifts between iridescent green and purple) for my Z'zor (space locusts) for Dreadball.
Any experience on using the stuff, anyone?
That's all from me for now. Not sure what I'll get done this weekend, but hey, sure it'll he interesting
All the best

Prince looks great, definitely fits in with your other guys. Think that the back does need a touch more variety, maybe just hit up the 'power pack' part below the fans with a bit more metal? Or maybe just add more rust tones in there.
Not tried that stuff, but have played with liquitex iridescents, they really needed a decent sized curved surface to work well on, so interested to see how you get on with this. I'm guessing this has been formulated more with models in mind. Definitely worth playing with different base colours/primers - with the liquidated stuff to get a good colour shift you used the red on top of a blue base for example to get red/blue shifting, got a slight shimmer on top of black, and a fairly standard metallic on top of white.

Cracking work on the Prince, the shades of green and the rusty brown compliment each other very well! If you wanted to change the back of him up some more you could add another metallic colour in there? Obviously you could grime that up a bit and it'd look the part. I think he looks good as is though.
Interested as to what you think of the case once you've used it a bit. I've been looking at that case for a little bit but I'm worried that if it takes a tumble the models will go everywhere even though they're attached with magnets. Also curious as to how it'll work with a tanks and flyers.
Good luck with the paint! Wonder what it'll look like.

Much obliged mate. Yeah, I'm a bit worried but the internet seems positive on it.
My weekend was spent with different distractions, I built my Z'zor team for dreadball so I can try the colour shifts. So they're in for priming just now, along with other dreadball stuff, coaches and giants, plus the primaris stalkers. I did, however, start on basing the big boys:
Sawing that trolley in half was not fun
And urban ruination for king shark
So that was fun
Started building the plagueburst crawler. However, I discovered my superglue had dried up. So, forced to use plastic glue - ugh. Hate the stuff, makes me feel like crud and never gives me a good bond anyway. It's in a clamp right now. The plan is to replace the wheels and tracks with tentacles. True caterpillar tracks
Proof of concept
So that's me, till next time,

I know what you mean about the head. I have a Killer Croc with the regular head though, so it's nice to have the variety.

That... is very good advice. Not entirely sure that I've followed it, but still
Started a quick and easy version Raven Guard for my boys:
Drybrushed VJ Neutral grey on all the edges. VJ red gore in the eyes, which will get a white dot for lenses. 2 layers of same for the pad trim. VJ violet on the purity seal. Bolter needs a metal drybrush, cloth needs... bone, probably, along with on the chest maybe? Don't want to overcomplicate it for them. We're going to go to our local GW on 20th for their 500th store shindig, pick up some bits maybe if their old dad is feeling generous any advice on what to expand on from some basic Primaris (12 - 3 converted with stalkers and 3 with autos) and Reivers (6)?
Also, started on my iridescent space bugs. Primed black, lightly drybrushed the same grey as used to highlight the raven guard. Two layers of colour shift on the Z'zor gave me this:
Very difficult to photograph but hopefully you can tell The eyes are done with vj red gore and a little of the colour shift blended in. Just gives them the faintest shimmer. I'm absolutely smitten with it, they look frighteningly alive.
As for the Plagueburst Crawler... Moar tentacles ya say?!
I actually think he's ok for tentacles now. However, I do feel the surface is a bit plain in places. I think some more pustules, fleshiness and iconography required. I didn't go with my original idea of adding a screaming bell at the back, and I think that's the right decision
The DP, however, I think is done:
Aside from violet washes into various recesses,I redid his eye red and did the fat flesh at the back in this sickly worm pink. Much happier.
Automatically Appended Next Post: So with the 2 militia from the other day, that's 316.
I'm pretty happy, all in all.
Until next time

Think the raven needs a touch of something on his chest to break it up, bone could work well if it's going on cloth as well, keeps it simple as you say.
Iridescent looks good from the pics, going to have to pick some of that up.
Burster looks great, think missing the bell was probably right, but maybe needs a smaller bell, just to bring it on with the choir?

The DP looks even better with the touch-ups to the back of him, adds to the whole fleshy effect! The tentacles look good, any of the flat paneling you don't want to have flat could have a few wrapped around it going into nooks and crannies. Your shiny bugs look the part, they remind me of those iridescent beetles. For the Primaris you won't go wrong with that 500th store edition of the Lieutenant, its a pretty decent model outside of the fact he has a set of ear cups on his head as well as on his helmet. Other than that I can't help you, you could go for the jump pack dudes or their ground based equivalent.

Bone on chest - agreed. I'm going to attach an icon of Nurgle to the back of the mortar I think. That's got clanky bells. Yeah much, much happier the dp. Brightening up the green on the tail helped too I think.

I baulk at the prospect of £20 though. £15 I can handle. £20? Unless it's something like king Shark, no chance yeah I suspect other dudes will be in the offing, if they go for the game as a whole. I just need to get Mortarion built
Automatically Appended Next Post: Oh, model updates would help.
Reposed Big Mech for Dreadball. A fun fig to do.
And another random scenery piece being made from a sweetie box.
Why not eh?

Lovely mech, and a fun scenery piece - should add quite some colour to the table!

Primaris definitely need the white Raven Guard eagles. Don't get me wrongthe Daemon Prince is an excellent well crafted model it just looks far more like a Spawn than a Prince to me. I still feel a Daemon Prince should look regal.

"But me no buts! Our comrades get hurt. Our friends die. Falkenburg is a knight who swore an oath to serve the church and to defend the weak. He'd be the first to tell you to stop puling and start planning. Because what we are doing-at risk to ourselves-is what we have sworn to do. The West relies on us. It is a risk we take with pride. It is an oath we honour. Even when some soft southern burgher mutters about us, we know the reason he sleeps soft and comfortable, why his wife is able to complain about the price of cabbages as her most serious problem and why his children dare to throw dung and yell "Knot" when we pass. It's because we are what we are. For all our faults we stand for law and light.

Thanks, a fun fig to do. Giants are only usable in Ultimate, the mad multiplayer version, but I really need one for each of the kids to play with
Well, anyway, gradually building some sweet fun for Mr J

Eagles and unit icons in for priming. Definitely required I get what you mean I just wanted more of a GUO vibe to him.
We're off on holiday down south next week. Much Dreadball is planned.
Meanwhile, we invaded by sister in law with tiny people yesterday. Cute, but distracting
Still, I finished the sweetie box building:
Some progress on the Plagueburst:
Note addition of bells. Clank.
And bloody gw making bloody foul blightspawn useful in kill team guess I'd better make one then...
I had primed up the conquest easy builds but then this happened.
What was on the paint pile for the rest of this weekend?
Dreadball Z'zor
Hopefully y'all can actually see the colour shift paint. They still need their edge trim.
Lots more DC is in priming, as is my cyborg team for DB (Which I really should have been prioritising for holiday, but never mind).
So DC will be next up, probably, finishing DG stuff, then... Maybe more DB? And why do all my hobby projects atm start with a D?
