Aye, get to an alter in one of the cities, and that should clear it.

If it can rid of Vampirism, I'm guessing it can get rid of anything.

You can't marry any Bosmer either IIRC.

I don't care though, Aela the Huntress is good enough for me.

In Icelandic "Æla" means "vomit", just saying.

I'll probably end up marrying a dude, none of the female characters seem very interesting.

Just a note on marriage for anyone getting a bug with the ceremony not completing - If you're on PC, and you walk up to the altar but Maramel doesn't initiate it, then there's likely an invisible dead body by the door. Seems that if your companion randomly disappears on you at some point, this is where they decide to return - albeit dead. Simply miss/fail your wedding, go back to the NPC you were trying to wed, restart the quest, and have the ceremony again. If the corpse was invisible, it'll appear this time, causing it to fail again. Just rinse and repeat one more time to complete the wedding. If the corpse by the door appeared the first time you had your ceremony, then you only need to reattempt it once, rather than twice.

If you want your dead companion back, and you're on PC, obviously pressing tilde, selecting them in the console mode, and then typing "resurrect" will bring them back.

Hu-uh. Got an interesting problem here. My first character, a magic-focused Imperial, is doing fine. Was able to play him for a few hourse, level him up, etc.

Nuva, my Bretonic Battlemage, keeps on crashing moments after loading in the Windchill (or skullchill or whatever) Passage. Anyone got any idea why that would happen?

Regarding marriage, nice to see they haven't put in a gender bias, there are a number of males and females available for marriage, and what gender, race you are playing doesn't effect how they view you.

Triah will be pleased.

So I came across a Deathlord today while playing my Imperial battemage/ Werewolf.

He stomped me, but I saved before I saw him. So I look in the Guide. A deathlord is a level 30 mob.

I'm level 13, but when I Werewolf up I can generally take out groups of Ice Trolls with no problem.

So I werewolf up, Dash in and start clawing. Deathlord looks at me, smacks me with a Waraxe and Werewolf drops like a Gold Ingot off a cliff.

Moral of the Story: Giants are not the only scary big bad in Skyrim And Beware if you enter Labyrinthion.

The first Deathlord I fought, I dropped two Frost Atronarchs on him and walked out of the room. I wasn't having none of that.

There are some who walk until their legs fail them and they fall to the ground. I find that respectable.
Then there are those who drag themselves further. I find that admirable.

guys skyrim is literally sucking the lifeforce out of me. I played for 48 hours, (stopping to sleep and eat of course) and im level 21, i did play multiple characters though. The game is freaking incredible i cant keep my hands off of it. I did finish the Dark Brotherhood quest line too.

some tips from me

Quick black smithing leveling:
Spoiler:
Most of you guys probably know this, but the quickest way to level up your smithing is to buy as many iron ignots as you can/want and as many leather strips as you want. Go to a forge and repeatedly make iron daggers. You get the same XP as you would for making a dagger as making plate steel (and its a lot cheaper). Before you know it you'll be leveling up super fast!

Free Archery Training:
Spoiler:
Go to Riverwood. There you'll find a wood elf with a bow and arrow, he's the guy that says, "I thought i heard you talking to Sven, oh never mind blah blah blah". Do his quest by taking the letter to the girl. After completing it you can get him to follow you around. Once he's following you, train in Archery. Since you can access his items ("I need to trade with you") you can get your gold back!

Note: If your Archery level is higher than his (Which i believe is fairly low) you cannot recieve training from him

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7mScZMoAilk

How to join the Dark Brotherhood
Spoiler:
Go to any Innkeeper/bartender and ask for rumors. They'll tell you theres a boy trying making the black sacrament. This will open up a quest line in Windhelm. Travel to Windhelm. When you reach the house it'll be locked, so pick it. Inside theres the boy and he'll say "It worked it worked!". He'll tell you to kill the orphanage keeper in Riften. Go do it. Once completed go back to the boy to get your reward. When you leave find a bed to sleep in, at an inn or wherever (I did it in the Rorikstead inn) and then you'll wake up in a shack in the middle of nowhere.

NOTE: On IGN it said a courier will give you a note with a black hand imprint that says, "we know" and I think it tells you to sleep in Rorikstead. I, however, never recieved a note. So if you go to bed somewhere and nothing happens, go to sleep in the Rorikstead Inn.

how to get vampirism and where the hell is bloodlet throne?:
Spoiler:
Just letting you guys know if you want to become a vampire the best place to go is bloodlet throne. (from gamefaq forum, Thecorruptangel) Go south to Falkreath, take the southeastern path out of it, and keep going and you'll eventually start climbing a mountain by this waterfall area. There are a few bandits at the foot of this mountain. Anywho, keep going up deep into the mountain and you'll eventually reach it. It's so far in, that if you keep going by the path you'll eventually reach the border between Skyrim and either Cyrodil or Morrowind.

Just go down the road, once you run into bandits you'll know your headed in the right direction.

To get vampirism just set the difficulty to novice and let the vampires hit you. When you contract Vampirism a note will appear on the top of your screen saying "You have contracted Vampirism). It might take several trys of dieing and healing until you get it, but you will eventually. If you health is low run away and heal. Then come back in and raid the dungeon! kill dem all! (remember to set it back to adept or w/e your difficulty is)

To become a werewolf:

Mining:
Spoiler:
There are Ebony and Malachite veins on top of "The throat of the world" You need to do the main quest to get to it

There is quick silver in Dawnstar in the town mine.

There is a Mine near the first guardian stones you encounter. Look 360 degrees around at your compass and a mining pick icon should appear to show you the direction of the mine (Not really worth going there though, however there are bandits to kill)

There is a Gold Mine across from the Blades Sanctuary, down the mountain and across the creek. Be warned, there are many foresworn in the mine. Some are very powerful.

6 steel and 6 iron ignots in Riverwood. You have to steal them but its very easy. Go to the black smith and wait till 2 am or so when theres no one around. Sneak up to the work bench and there will be Ignots underneath the workbench. Easy steal!

http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Mining

Best place to feed as a Vampire:
Spoiler:
The best place to feed is EASILY Rorikstead. There is no wall to get in your way and the person you feed off of is a heavy sleeper (lol its true). The person's house I'm talking about is the first farm house on your right if you're coming in from the east road. when you fast travel be sure to high tail it if your a level 4 vampire because the whole town will be on your ass. once your out of the town wait till 2 am and check if the coast is clear. Sneak your way to the door and pick lock it. once inside feed. Simple as that.

Killing Trolls as an Archery:
Spoiler:
Get the whirl wind dragon shout from the main quest line. Buy arrows. Find a troll. Shoot, then shout, then sprint, repeat.

Tip for dual wielders, get 2 different weapons and lots of stamina. I went with axe in right hand and mace in left. This gives you more versatility (with perks too) and the high stamina lets you spam the 4 hit power attack (holding both triggers) which takes 40% health off a frost dragon for me. (playing on expert AFAIK).

Also, I found a mask called Vokung which is all sorts of awesome. Better prices and carry weight, and looks awesome, to bad it's light armor though.

Right now I'm level 19 but my skills are all over the place. I wanna be a sneaker/backstabber/sniper and I picked a lizard guy for my race. I already wasted perk points on spell schools and other things that I just don't need anymore. I wish I could reset my perks and reapply them :(

My sneak skill is around 60 and it's growing fast. I did have the thief stone going at one point, but switched it to the one that's good for all skills. I'm doing good with alchemy and enchanting too. I joined the dark brotherhood and also the college of magic, but didn't do any of their quests yet. I mostly just snuck all over the college stealing everything of value that wasn't nailed down.

What's bugging me the most though is I die just way too easy. Even wimpy enemies can chop me to bitz if I didn't sneak up on em. And mages, forget it, I get blasted into a charred husk before I can do anything. Makes me wonder if I should have just gone for a big tough warrior type all armored up. And for being so tough, I think dragons are actually pretty easy to kill. Slice em up, heal when they take off, rinse & repeat.

If you add a companion, will they follow you anywhere till you send them away? And how many can follow you? So far I have some guardian person that the Jarl assigned to me, and some wizard from some dream quest, but so far I still just wander around alone.

One thing that I thought was kinda funny... some girl gave me a quest to gather bear pelts. So I go out and start hunting. A bear jumps me right outside the town and I decide I don't want to deal with it so I run back to the guards who attack it... but the girl that gave me the quest runs after it too, and gets mauled to death.. quest failed. Guess the bears don't like her either. And another guy out by the stables somewhere, I asked if he was afraid of dragons, he said he didn't think they existed, and then one lands right behind him and chomps him to death.

It's not easy
the tables rapidly turned once I got the time slowdown perk, knockdown perk, and a shield companion.
I stacked every single item I'm wearing with + bow damage as well, a crit or sneak will 1 shot most humans. ~ lvl 17

Just not sure where I want to put my remaining perks. So far I have 4 more to go to fill up the sneak tree. I like archery, but I only have 1 point there. I used up a couple points in lockpicking and pickpocketing, but I doubt I'll add more to them.. or should I? I added 1 point to destruction and restoration (wasted point :( ) and 1 for light armor and 1 for 1-handed.. should I add to them at all? I think I have 2 points in Archer so far.. I want to get the arrow crit plus the sniper zoom, but the skill isn't high enough yet.

It's hella fun 1-shotting stuff with my sneaky bow, but my sneak attacks just do 3x damage, but with a dagger I can take down almost anything from behind in 1-2 swings. So far though I'm still just using iron arrows, and I have over 100 left.. I have orc and steel also but I figured I'd use up the old stuff first. Do different arrows make a difference or is it more based on the bow? the arrow's damage seems to just be a couple points difference between them.

as far as I understand, bow-ing works like this

your bow does a base damage, your arrows do a base damage, and your skill increases the base damage

/then/ you add all the multipliers, i have like +60% on my skills, and 60 or so % on my items. so total I do something like 45 damage with an iron arrow in my bow.

it snowballs fast, so without alot of the upgrades, its like shooting grapes at someone.
The downside of being a sneaker is that you never really get armor +skills because you usually dont get attacked, which makes the times you /do/ get attacked rather painful

yeah, I think that's exactly the problem I'm having now. I sneak so much I hardly get hit enough for my armor skills to go up, so melee hurts a lot. And I'm sure it's just gonna get worse from here.

This is why I used conjuring until I got a companion (which you get once you go to white-whatever and continue the game story a little)

Armored up companion standing in front of you is great, just be sure to tell them to wait for you when you go sneaking around or they will give you away

Also, without time slowdown you will end up shooting them in the back, alot.

oh, yeah I got that companion also, but so far she's been sitting the inn eating all the time. Never used her. I also found another companion, I forget the name of the town (Dawn something?) but it was in the NW and all the people there were having nightmares. There was a wizardy guy in the inn telling everyone he'll fix it. So after you do his quest he'll become your companion. Was a cool quest too. At the end there was a voice in my head telling me to kill him and I almost did, but I decided to be nice. I did pickpocket him though, just because.

During that quest the guy was unkillable. But I guess if he's your companion he can die just like anything else? I guess I'll try having my guard follow me around.
