Yeah, I'm liking Dungeon so far. I'm completely baffled by the Hestia Hype though. She's so far about the worst part of the show, just a walking fan service piece who does little but throw herself at the oblivious main character. I'm worried the show's going to turn into a harem thing though with two girls already showing romantic interest in him, and him showing interest in a third.

Ehh, I don't think she's that bad. To early to tell IMO. Although I do think some of the hype has to do with how fun "Hestia is bestia" is to say.

You answered your own question. Well done.
Not to mention her personality. And her costume. She is a fun character, all together made her popularity explode.
I'll probably try to give the anime another shot, maybe 1 or 2 more episodes to see if I can warm up to it. The first one didn't do it for me.

"Fear is freedom! Subjugation is liberation! Contradiction is truth! These are the truths of this world! Surrender to these truths, you pigs in human clothing!" - Satsuki Kiryuin, Kill la Kill
but I fear unless it goes for a crazy out of nowhere plot twist it's all too obvious where it's going (and it's depressing)
Spoiler:
better to have loved and lost and all that jazz
I'm not sure anything else in the series will be able to beat that scene where she jumped from the railing chasing after that pair. The set up, expectation and execution was just perfect.
I like Hestia, goddess kd the hearth and all that. I like that she isn't the a big god like Loki, Haephestus, or Ganesha. I'd like to see the family grow to maybe two or three members, as I believe the two party members Bell "teams up with" in the OP are in different families, but she loves Bell as if he were her child like 60% of the time, and like her "husband" the other 40%.
Also, I think we'll see a Harem but I doubt it'll be to the extent of similar shows like SAO. So far none of the ladies he's managed to attract go into dungeons, though Aizu-tan seemed to notice him in the last episode.
Also depending on how close they stick to the god's namesakes, I think a cursory knowledge of Norse mythology spoiled some of the show for me :-/

I loved that. That was a beautiful way to mess with the average animu fan.
I wouldn't worry too much about mythology in Dungeon. The Japanese are as bad as most Western people when trying to keep any of that properly strait.

Lemme at least leave a good hoof beat they'll remember loud and long
Ok, that was AWESOME. I loved the punchline. So true!
<----------------- Complete and utter fanboy of a character from the "thong anime" they mention. They got me good in that video

So, for those of us that dropped Sound! Euphonium because it's just cute girls doing cute things. There was considerably less cuteness in episode 3. Things got a little serious for the girls.

I'm more surprised something good came out of college humor for once. That was something i'd expect more out of dorkly except less mean spirited maybe.
I think the rule is college humor has decent videos sometimes but everything else they do sucks and dorkly sucks at videos but has great comics.

Hrmm. I might go watch since you're saying it's happened as early as episode 3, but I was having a really distinctly difficult time staying with it as early as episode 1. Whatever happens will have to really hook me hard right in the feels to keep me invested. The band background is just sorta hard for me to stay interested in.

What the heck is with the number 3 that's so magical with "gak hits the fan" moments? On top of my head I remember Madoka Magica, KanColle and now this.

Well that and it's 1/4 way through the season. It's also the point most people start dropping shows. So you have 1-2 episodes to establish and an ep to hook.

It's not super serious drama, well maybe for band geeks it is. But it wasn't all "look how adorbs we are for playing our instruments." KM is probably right, it most likely won't bring anyone back into the show, but it's probably just enough to keep someone hooked till episode 4.

Rin-Ne makes me really happy. It's probably one of my favorites of the season. The plot isn't super crazy or anything, but it's Takahashi-sensei and that always gives me pleasant thoughts and fond memories. Kind of thing.

Because a 3 on its side look like boobs and butts and anime fans love to see them jiggle a lot . Which is why there's so much anime like that.
Oh wait you said serious things. I have no idea then.

In other news i have finally seen the last episode of parasyte. I'm sad to see it go but i will always remember the anime fondly. I still think the 2nd last episode was more action oriented but the last was more of a goodbye as well as filled with philosophical and emotionally straining moments.
Also i find it funny when Migi asks shinichi what shinichi's mental projection of him was. I wanted to have a 2nd bit where migi shows his mental projection of himself as some muscle-bound manly shirtless dude with tattoos and 'THUG LIFE' written on his knuckles.

I had some trouble with Parasyte, Shinichi was just so unlikeable for so long in the middle of the series.
Spoiler:
I think the last episode was just so lax on the action because it had to show that after the major conflict of the previous few episodes that the parasites were not as "open" about their actions, and that life was returning to normal between the "monsters" and humanity. The rooftop scene in the last episode shows that Shinichi is strong enough without Migi to handle the "monsters" life can throw at him. I think it ended nicely. Though I really really really wanted to bash his head against a wall and yell "stop being so fething dense you feth!"

I kind of agree with you there. To be fair to the show though, I did feel like what Shinichi was going through with the integration of the monsters cells in his own body was a complex fight between his normal human emotions that he expects to have, and the biologically driven practicality that the monster cells had begun incorporating into his entire body. I feel like in his position most people would be somewhat dense and probably more than a little confused about some of the situations around them.

I think it'd be funny if the 'sentient thong' mentioned in that parody video could transform into a hang-glider so said anime character could get away in quick escapes.

Oh totally, the biggest thing to note is that through their time together, Shinichi becomes more like a parastye and Migi becomes more human (showing respect, etc...). The second to last episode shows that right at the end with the decision Shinichi makes before heading back to town. I just couldn't stand him pretty much until he teams up with Jaws and his host. After that I was behind Shinichi except when it came to him and Satomi, because he was just a bit too inhuman when it came to her, at least up until like episode 20 or so (when she invited him over)

It has been so long since I saw the original show that I can't recall any differences in the new one, but it seemed pretty similar. Guts was still a badass, Griffith was still borderline creepy.

Who knows with Netflix.
They've just got such a stupid way of deciding what they do and do not carry that I've basically given up on seriously watching anything on them.
Best to just find a nice site that carries what you want.
