You know Cam, you keep this up and we're going to lose you to some Hollywood special effects team that needs a top-quality small scale modeler.

Looking great cam, nice effect on the road surface - and those aren't Brit road markings....they're proper road markings

Intriguing how that dental plaster turned out. Looking good.

Hmm... I'm not sold on the racer (the street is, however, awesome) however I faith in your ability to imperialise it with skulls and ammo...

I like it, looks suitable for a gang racer, something that's been modified from a circuit racer maybe, but it doesn't really strike me as Imperial.

Perhaps the racer needs to be more boxy? You know how the Imperium loves boxy things

Thank you.

I agree it is too smooth for a Imperial. Not sure might have another go later. If I take the wheels off, it could be Tau!?

@ Red Piece of styrene tube, dremel out lens "whole" put smaller tube inside. In this case a drinking straw. Fill with hot melt glue and try and smooth off.

And pics of the racer now....(pilot is not stuck in.)

Think I will have another go tomorrow at an Imperial type, this one gets put to one side for now. Will obviously be doing an Ork racer, yes the idea will be Ork V SM small crowd either side, dainty female in middle of road to start the race, grots hanging from the lights, maybe a few homebrew cheerleaders. Giving myself a lot to do, but I am fairly quick when I get wound up to it.

All your thoughts are very much appreciated.

Cheers for now.

Well, add some plates and wires and that'll work far better for orks than marines....although, yeah, Tau should work too.

Will wait for the updated racer yet (Looks great in itself, I just do not feel it imperial, if that's the look you were going after). The street, on the other hand, is outstanding. Light effects look spot on

Great road. Looks pukka. Britain. Best street markings in the world!! Souldn't it have more patches and some dandelions though?

Seriously though I have noticed a sharp drop in road quality recently. I'm not especially bothered by it as I've scrapped the car.

The street looks great. I really like the painted circles of light from the lamp posts. Painted lighting always tickles my storytelling bones. Turns the piece into a nighttime scene even if its displayed in the light of day. Going to have to echo the chatter about debris and painted line weathering. A roadbed as distressed as that seems like it wouldn't have painted lines as crisp. In any case, it looks awesome overall.

Well I am on going on the road surface. So watch this space.

But for know thought I would stop my frustrations and go to where I am happy, not necessarily good at, but happy.

Thanks
