Looking good Gwyn, the brighter colour on the scales is a nice touch. What colour are you going for the fins? Something that's more of a contrast?

That's looking scale-icious. Lovely work.

Thanks Olthannon! The next photo should answer that for you.

Thanks Wyoming! Yeah, it was a lot of work, but I think totally worth it for the detail.

Did some work on the face (realizing that I had completely forgotten to do the face), and put down the base colour for the fins!

Are you planning to highlight each scale individually? That's some serious attention to detail, not to mention eyestrain!

Now showing various models from the previously adandoned projects!

Thankfully this is as highlighted as they get, and they're nicely raised so it wasn't too bad.

Orange done! Now that's the main contrast - well, that and all the gold/brass/bronze metallics!

Wow nice Gwyn, that orange is wonderful. Such a warm colour, looks great against the blue.

Thanks all! Last major colour is done, being the gold/bronze/brass. Just details left! Well, that and the cape. And the base. But anyways!

Oh wow, nice job on the non-metallic metals! Over all the color scheme came together beautifully.

Looks excellent, I particularly like the cloak. That pearlescent effect is brilliant. Looking forward to seeing what you do with the base.

Thanks! It's not actually NMM though, it's metallic paints. I've never tried NMM yet, I think that's still beyond me!

Thanks Olthannon - the cloak is unpainted though! That's just a bit of glare reflecting off it.

I spent some time cleaning up and redoing the face. Still tricky to do helmeted faces, but I'm content with this where it is (realized that one of the reasons that the one side of the face was feeling weird was that he has an eyepatch!)

My mistake I thought you'd gone for a slightly speckled style with the cloak. But I like the look of it painted up!

Thanks all!

Good painting is on hold for a mo- as I just try and get enough Stormcast Eternals painted for this year's Age of Sigmar escalation league. So the story for the next little bit is "bare minimum"

I'm doing SCE, with the self-imposed caveat of only running 3e era models.

First up, to get the base 750 pts.

The first unit, of course, being the Vindictors!

I like the banner, especially the trailing pennant. How did you paint the pennant by the way? What paints did you use?
