the first one is indeed due to flash... it is "just" mecharite red... pure and simple... i am toatlly attached to that color...yeah it is killed by GW... but i still have it and can get it via channels for now^^...

and yep... i think it is a feat quite heroic to do all those bricks^^
and since these are the first batch... argh^^

and childe...

these are all tiles i have atm cut up... now walls are needed... the ones you see above are done... the corner sections are all in need of doing (red and blue on the sketched plan) and then some more longer sections and some window sections too...

My mechriet red did not react well to water added and is now a dark pink/light red

Aye, I loved bronzed flesh (taken out some time ago) and, of course, devlan mud. Awesomesauce, in its purest form. I lament it's passing.

The five colours I mostly rely on nowadays are chaos black and boltgun metal (obviously), skull white, scab red (a close match to mechrite red) and catachan green.

anyone got any ideas why GW discontinued devlan mud? Every painter I know used it, seems a bit odd to cut it's production...
Bronzed flesh was because it was an exact 1:1 mix of dwarf and elf flesh, so people just bought two and mixed them when needed- is this a similar situation?
I vow to get to the bottom of why GW brought down such an epic paint in its prime...

Nice walls like the fact you have used hight as well really feeling this project and with a little side line of mine at the moment would work together, might have to come to Germany to have a game

I think the poster idea will add another look to the walls, weird I was doing the same thing the other day looking for posters in this style, got some the same

Maybe a manhole cover here and there would look good

Cant wait to see this progress further

I'm sort of dreading it myself as I'm running real low on badab black, purple and sepia. I use them so much. Sort of curious though to see how the Daemonettes would go with the new purple as I heard these new washes are supposed to be a touch thinner.

thinner washes? argh... that would ruin them for me...as i am still a stright from the pot washer...

and LDD..yeah i would love to game with so many of my chums here...well one of these days... distance can´t be the last repartee for ever...

manholes of course... got at least some of zinges stuff still for that... and maybe i´ll attempt a scratchbuilt one soon...

the hight was for me a very important thing indeed...thanks for you noticing this... i have seen the hirst arts stuff... and they always lack the hight to truly feel inside a tunnel or terrain bit... i wanted to have the minis stand inside at least a wall that is worth of thinking it would support a ceiling... some of the stuff out there looks so low you just could imagine the minis hop over them walls...

Yes, the hight works great, gives a real sense of depth to the scenery and the feel of old victorian streets.

Man hole covers are easy to build, have you got a compass cutter take some textured PC cut out a circle from it, then cut out a larger circle than that one in plain PC.
Stick them together then add some rivets, cut out a small section in the street section ( ground template ) take a small strip of plastic strip add it to the hole around the inside edge of the hole (gives it the raised section)
Then stick the circle sections inside of the hole hey presto, if that all makes sense

One day mate one day

Because I have yet to try them out and that's all I've been hearing about them. It's good to hear that that's just the over exaggerated hype it seems to be then. You know how the sky always falls when something like this happens...

Well, whatever you are hearing is BS...If the new washes are formulated differently, it's better..And the liquid ass smell is gone too

If anything...the foundation (or base paints) are even better now. All of the old foundation paints were very very flat, the new base colors just rock da house!
