well actually my friends they are a bit sans rivets... didn´t anyone notice? 
but i will try a better version... and galorn... if i can make a better one, this one has some points i think are not completely defined enough for my own taste... then i will come back to your offer!
and klaus,many thanks...and i do like your idea... and i´d be the last person to not want to cast them ... something like that would even be selling i guess... but unfortunatly me as a hobbiist am totally lightyears away from ever casting stuff... tho i do find your idea with added GS frilly stuff very intriguing...hmmm... i will ponder about this some more...
and well torches... nawww... wouln´t fit the bill only for the very dark sections of london in the victorian age i guess...
felt a little low again but i have completed my first even "varnished piece" ever... and i will show you this later this day... big promise... it even quali´fies for an avatar pic change after the suited rule to self made stuff^^

ok ladies and gentlemen....
here are the very first pics and please bear with me...the very first pics even of a varnished pice i deemed finished...
also this is a first time becuase with this piece i even tried myself with a bit of higlighting... yeah right... comfortzone... whazzat? ^^ and wet blending...which didn´t came out as intended but there you are^^
at galorn... i am currently working on a new lamp... which is sadly not the style i was aiming for as i got confused with diameter... but i finish it anyway... the built after that if i deem it enough^^ i will send to you, deal?^^

bama... meant to comment earlier on your rules idea... i like that... interactive terrain got to be the pinnacle of terrain in my book... whenever i play a game on my pc i love games that makes it possible to shoot through walls and to kill the lights and such stuff... when i finally can play on that table i be sure to include that rule...
and actually i can only chime in with you about the combination of the brickwork and the lamp... it is a very cool combination...
on other news... i am also working(atm only a cencept) of some scratchbuild guttermanholes... my wife lend me some lipped buttons of her huge collection... now i need to figure out a way how to use them...
also the terrain competition idea needs some serious thinking....*puts thinking cap on*

by the way... is there a guide for dummies out there to get one noob into doiung hightights done on minis? i know they always say you have to imagine where the light might shine on but really that is way too simple a hint that the actual execution of a hightlight truly is... i bet that the highlights on that lamp actually arent that possible... but well... it was a start, right ?^^

That kicks ass Vik! Amazing work! - YOUR painting has also come a long, long way! I couldn't even imagine doing that clean of work! I know how, but my brush never does it..just scrape the edge of a loaded, pointy brush across the edge. Simple, but I can never do that. You nailed it bro! Not too much, not too little.

i have thought already about adding some posters... heck for that matter today i got a buckle in my hand... a female frilly one... it was too damn big otherwise it would have been a truly nice stucco frame fro a wall... posters yeah... tho i aim for the steampunk look... so i need more vintage than grim dark stuff...
what exactly do you have in mind? i am game for almost everything
but for now i do have to part with you all... need my beautysleep... well... as i am beautiful already i hope i can do with only these few hours

Awesome job on the gaslamp Vik,,,just one itsy thing to recommend, Pigeon stains! make it look "weathered" with pigeon poop stains on top metal parts.
