Thanks Pointer5. Early into quarantine I stumble a crossed the orange to yellow blend while painting a Deffdread. I liked it so much that now I'm trying to integrate it into the rest.

My big Mek WirZapp can guaranty the fastest stompas dreads and kanz in the sector and for fewer teef, and remember our price match guaranty. If you find a Mek with a lower price we will beat that Mek until they cant anymore.
Well back to work on something faster for Mr. Mac and y'all. I'm finishing up a snazwagon & for some reason I felt the need to paint the parts that no one will be able to see, I don't know what's wrong with me I could have finished in half the time... Well anyway here it is.

That Big Mek is brilliant! It fits the scheme of your other models but the extra colour adds to the mad nature of the character.

In comparison to the original photos you shared all that time ago, I'm glad that you are using a more vibrant red. The models stand out and look much more speed freak now.

Thanks. What happened was about 20 years ago I was painting the first ork and a friend of mine commented that "my orks were to bright like a space marine" and I'm sad to say that the stuck with me for about 2 decades.

I'm taking a road trip tomorrow. I'll start posting again after I return.

When I got back building my Orks last year I found out that Orks have there own food trucks naturally I knew that I needed one to sustain the members of my mighty WHAAAAAG... well except the ones that are killed by it of course.
The down side to being excited about getting a model on the table is sometimes you get a little hasty. I have regrets about this model. I wish I had painted the squig pit before assembly & I wish I had finished the base before adhering the model. The good news is I can fix the base!
I have popped the Orkoid taco truck off the base and will finish it tonight to post more pictures.
Here is a before picture.

I think you'll find that there is a certain freedom while painting something to look like a pile of scrap. I just wish I was better at weathering. Good luck and don't forget to post pictures on dakka.

I probably should have dusted this guy off before taking the picture. I painted this guy before the stompa and the kanz I just never got around showing it off.

This was a rushed job because I had just been gifted 2000 points of orks and felt the need to get the bulk of them table top ready quickly. I've noticed that every time I post a picture on dakka and then enlarge it on my big screen tv It helps me to see mistakes, so I intend to post some minis to tighten them up a bit.

I have a squad of Nob bikers on the way, but you have a point it really is time for me to make some storm boyz.

One more piece done, only 2 big pieces left.

Nice. I like the purple wash on the tanks. Also fun noticing how the Orks have put 3 gauges on one tank, all too high up to easily read.

Sorry I'm so slow these days. I finished the dkok team but I don't have pictures worth uploading or access to the minis. I painted them for a good friend. I'll upload my first run of dkok later. mine are still on sprue.

That is one awesome Speedfreaks army.

I like the big meks the best though, possibly because they are just awesome models, and you have done them more than justice.

Really adore the kanwall aswell, but then again, which mek doesn't adore kans!

GW:"Space marines got too many options to balance, therefore we decided to legends HH units."
Players: "why?!? Now we finally got decent plastic kits and you cut them?"
Chaos marines players: "Since when are Daemonengines 30k models and why do i have NO droppods now?"
GW" MONEY.... erm i meant TOO MANY OPTIONS (to resell your army to you again by disalowing former units)! Do you want specific tyranid fighiting Primaris? Even a new sabotage lieutnant!"
Chaos players: Guess i stop playing or go to HH.
