Marvel Now is finally reaching Germany. I already read All New X-Men as English trade, but I want to support my local store a bit more. Can you tell me if X-treme X-Men and Cable & X-Force are any good?

I can't. I've been reading Uncanny X-Men. It's like the companion comic of All-New X-Men, telling the other side of the story.

I'm enjoying Cable & X-Force. It's good, has some fun actiona scenes, quite an interesting plot, and what is possibly my favourite cover so far (the "Daddy's Home" issue).

I've read the first issue of Uncanny Avengers. Not a big fan of the team, but I like the "Red Skull stole Xavier's brain"-part. I'm not sure which series is Uncanny X-Men at the moment. How does the all-female X-Men series fit into this?

I really liked the first issue and Colossus is one of my favourite X-Men. Like Cable's new look as well.

You're not sure which series is Uncanny X-Men? Do they have very different titles over there or something? Don't know about any all-female X-women....

I'm reading Uncanny Avengers but I just dropped it. It's not bad but I'm always looking to rein in the number of titles I'm getting and I guess this one just didn't make the cut. Red Skull using Xavier's brain was pretty cool though.

So far I just didn't notice Marvel Now had an Uncanny X-Men series. I recently loaded a load of #1 issues when Marvel did the digital promotion, but I must've missed that one. What's happening in Uncanny X-Men?

Speaking of X-Men. How's the (not savage) Wolverine and A+X? I missed out on Wolverine during the promotion, but the first issue of A+X was pretty fun. I hope they go back to the President Rulk thing.

I believe the all female team is due very soon, but not out yet? I've had it on my subs for about four months, so just waiting for it to reach my pull list.

I did notice Bleeding Cool was using an ad for it as their throw around banner the other day. So it must be incoming.

Can't wait, Rogue, Storm, Phoenix II (Or whatever Rachel calls herself these days) Psylocke, Jubilee and Shadowcat all in one book.

Oh just checked its still the wrap around at Bleeding cool.

"X-Men" is the name of the series, and it should be released today.

Yes, I was reading some Wolverine Origins and a Deadpool trade, I think it was, concurrently a few years ago and coincidently they both featured Bucky as a stone cold killer in WWII doing those kind of things when Cap wasn't looking. He was boarding on psychopathic at times. It was pretty cool and I actually liked it when he took over for Cap after his death.

I've been drifting away from Marvel recently-they're not releasing much that's gripped me. I'm liking Deadpool as ever, and Thanos Rising is a pretty good read so far, but aside from that there's not much in their line that I would recommend to a friend, for example. If anyone knows of any good titles that would change my mind, i'd like to know.

Been enjoying a few New 52 titles (Batman's 'Death of the Family' arc was ace), and most of all, fallen in love with Bedlam. Easily my favourite comic series to date.

I have the wolverine omnibus of all his comics from the main story line.

sooo awesome when he goes berzerk on sheild.

good old canucklehead

all the stories about logans time in the wars are pretty cool too.

if it wasnt for punisher and wolverine, especially the MAXX series, I doubt that marvel would get a penny of my $.

I recently got back into comics so I quite behind right now I'm working my way through Avengers Disassembled and in between that I'll be reading the new X-O Manowar from Valiant.

X-O was a great series I read as a kid in it's original version so it will be exciting to see how this one is. Would like to see some old story lines return while updating them for present day.

Avengers Dissessembled is a good place to start because you could argue its the beggining of the entire current Marvel Universe storyline/timeline. Though I must admit I haven't read it myself.

Madder Red certainly is an interesting character.

And I'm not reading a single Marvel title for the first time in a long time. I've dropped some New 52 books, but the ones I'm still reading are holding my attention much better than Marvel.

I finally picked up last week's books today. I have high hopes for Superman Unchained, so we'll see how it goes.

I really enjoyed many of the titles from the first run of valiant back in the 90s. I have one copy of every single Valiant issue from the first incarnation. One of my favorite pieces of comic collectibles is the small poster announcing the Magnus Robot fighter series which launched Valiant. I was a big fan of the original series when I was a kid and that drew my attention to the Valiant line from the start. Which was lucky because those first issues sold out fast and had low print runs.

What's the deal with Red Lantern? I thought that was just made up for an episode of Fringe.

Nice to see another old Valiant fan.

Good to know. I started out with collecting Civil War because that seemed interesting. Then the Wikipedia entry said it took from Dissembled, House of M etc. so I figured just start there.

So finished Age of Ultron and
Spoiler:
Angela from Spawn is now a part of the Marvel universe? WTH?"
That totally came out of no where.

I swear that was announced ages ago? They worked out the issues with the rights to use her, and said that they would be introducing her during AoU?

In other news, the amount of Superior:__________ comics coming out over the summer upsets me, as it means I'm gonna have to decide between Superior Carnage and Infinity.

In other other news, Cable & X-Force is becoming very very fun, though I'm starting to regret not getting Uncanny Avengers, as they're popping up here, there, and everywhere these days.

I get all my comic book news from DakkaDakka so the Angela thing was a total surprise for me.

What's up with Superior Carnage? Is it just Cletus Cassidy?

No idea, I've never read Carnage before, and have no idea what the setup is, I just like the idea of Carnage, and enjoy short series

In other news, X-Men Legacy is very very good.

Does anyone else think that trade paperbacks have hurt comic collectors?

I never bought comics on speculation but I do think the trade paperbacks have been a bad thing for the second hand market.

I thought the second hand market crashed back in the 90s and never really recovered.

I'd say that trades helped revitalize interest in the ip of various comics, and thus, may
have saved the secondary market.

I have mixed feelings about TPBs. I really believe monthlies are the engine that drives the comic industry and that it's actually important for comic collectors to buy them. On the other hand TPBs do get people to read comics who wouldn't bother otherwise and are a better reading experience usually.

There are two sorts of collector. One wants a thing for its own sake. The other wants a thing to get rid of it. The former wants the same thing I want: to experience an enjoyable piece of art. The latter wants other people to not experience an enjoyable piece of art, because doing so drives down the value of their "investment". So if reprinting comics and making them available to second-wave fans hurts them, I don't sympathise.
