Thanks very much, guys!
@LDD - You're absolutely right, that would improve them loads, but at the mo I'm just trying to power through them all - there's about 100 in the box, and I've got a fair few more coming with the next kickstarter
I've just been off to Venice with Hannah on my first annual leave in a fair few months, and it is an absolutely beautiful place. Seawater and tourism also does stunning things to stone and paintwork, and as is becoming a bit of a habit, couldn't resist taking a few reference pics to share! Hope they're useful for someone - I'm definitely saving them for when I get around to terrain work.
p.s. I have a ton of normal person vacation pics too, it's not all close ups of peeling paint, honest! Just thought you may not be quite so interested in ones like this
(That beer cost 8 fecking euros!)
Also did this when I got back - was having a lot of trouble fitting Ivy with the colour scheme for the rest of the Jackals for some reason.
I'm hoping to try out a fair few new techniques! Plan is to experiment with blending pink into white for fluke, like this chappy here:
And Ivy herself will be getting some paleskin and sunburn, possibly with marks spared by her goggles
Good plan, bad plan? Anyone know any good techniques for that kind of blending? Do I need to stop with the TMI holiday snaps? Hope you've all had as fun a week as me

Hey guys!
Brief update with a shoddy pic of a WiP Ivy.
And here's a shot of the board from the last hammering I took against Peyma's rat bastard Red Hand gang (cheats).
Better update to come some time in the next few days!

Awesome job Scarper so close to the original art work the dog colour is spot on and has photographed really well as it looks great from here.
Ivy is a great little miniature really fits that Apoc outlander vibe, love the bag and the sawn of shotgun really ties nicely together
I to would like to know where the models are from, I have worked out the head is from statuesque miniatures I believe

Thanks a bunch for all the comments!
@Bruticus - Thank you! The girl's body is a female scavenger model from a system in development called Scavenge Skirmish Survive. The sculpts are a little ropey in places (I had to resculpt her left hand, for example, and there are a few thumb prints here and there), but they are interesting and fun. The head is from Statuesque Miniatures resistance line. The dog is from the Convoi starter set from the Eden game system.
@LDD - Very kind, thank you! Though I wouldn't have called my original half-arsed colour plan 'art work' Good eye once again for the Statuesque head!
@Weety - Thank you very much! I don't think you've seen this particular mutt before, but I did put up a picture of a similar hound to steal the colour scheme from, so maybe youre thinking of that
@Dr. H - Thanks a lot! I sometimes worry that I use too many earth tones, but you can get some fun effects with a little variation in shade.
@Peyma - Thanks, man, much appreciated. Did you have any more luck with the eBay scores? Would be great if we had two bases to play over... And they were definitely cheating. How else would you explain three gangers being torn to pieces by the same dog and then my team running away?!
A few simple new things:
A speedy paintjob on an unfortunate gentleman who will be playing a role in an upcoming scenario
And some finished greenwork for a bounty hunter who has entered the fray.
Hope you like, and an update on gang status soon.

I think the unfortunate gentleman (or Saturday night guy ) looks pretty cool although a little fetish Scenario hey
I to stick to the earthy tones myself but I found a cool way to get around this , just add one bright colour to the mix it is quite amazing the difference it makes but still keeps the same earth tone you love.
The Bounty hunter is a cool looking miniature love the use of parts, ok here goes Vostroyan sniper body, Vic miniatures shotgun trenchers arms and Vic resin head Penal legion I think.
The only thing stumping me is that grey weapon, not sure if it is the Elysian rifle or something completely different
Great job though all looks great mate

Yeah, on top of it this guy is the ing MAN. due to his cunningly concealed flamer, he's snookered me a couple of times now. And he's just always so laissez-faire about everything, like 'ah, well, another gak day, might as well win hard at life in the underhive, meh'
total beast.
And Scarp probably wouldn't like to admit this, but he's actually got the most wins in our campaign... I might have a gang rating over 2K, but he's got the most victories. In fact, the only time he lost to me was when it was the Jackals AND the Red Hands trying to sandwich me (joint rescue mission) and the Red Hands were about as good at stealth as a battalion of redcoats in a knocking shop... Automatically Appended Next Post: Addendum: I know you've dropped the bounty hunter now chum, but paint him up anyway... I know at least a couple of arbitrator scenarios where he could come in really handy

@PDH - Thanks a lot! It's the head that does it really - great sculpt that oozes menace
@Vik - He does indeed and it certainly is. His captors obviously don't play nice. Thanks for the kind words!
@LDD - Cheers, that's very kind! The fetishy bit didn't even occur to me, but to each their own I guess The bolter substitute is an elysian lasgun (one of the bullpup type ones) with a couple of modifications. I really like the design of the original!
@Baiyuan - Not at all, that's really nice of you! Means a lot. Would love to see some more of your stuff soon too - I could use the inspiration!
@LeadLegion - Welcome! Hope you find something else you like.
@Weety - Thank you!
@Igandris - Cheers! See where you're coming from with the bag - will have to do something about that.
@Roddy - He's looking pretty scary now too with T4 and W2! I'll try and get the bounty hunter painted up, but 2 new juves and a plasma heavy on the work bench at the moment. Those settlements are really pumping them out!
@Migs - Thank you very much! Glad you like him.
@Scrazza - Glad you like! It's mostly the pose on the original, I just made some small changes
Couple of painted cargo containers for today. I've been playing with weathering powders, which I've never really used before. Steep learning curve, and I think I overdid it a bit in places, but they're fun to work with!
Hope you like, and more as I work on it. Automatically Appended Next Post: p.s. I can't find the original plaster ones I got off eBay anymore, but there's a gent here selling what look like exactly the same casts in resin for a really good price.
They're really versaltile and totally worth a look for a skirmish-style board.
