Nice freehand as usual buddy :-) the powders look cool mate.
Nice to see some new terrain from you mate , I think it could use a mattress or two though :-)
Your paint station looks very neat ... Pretty jealous of that at the moment.

Thanks very much for the kind words guys! I do really enjoy working with blue and orange - it's probably going to come up a lot in my terrain
@Neil - I bought those stands a few days ago because I basically had no space left to paint in - I doubt it'll stay that neat for long
New girl today - plasma gunner to replace Skragg as the gang heavy, as he's currently doing time in Cpn R.'s mines. Breakouts will happen some day though!
I'm a little disappointed in the photos for this lady, just can't seem to get ones that look right. Hopefully the paintjob will fix that.
Her name is Moss, and she's already paid for her plasma rifle in wounds put down on the Red Hands
Not the greatest pics, but her backpack has a spool of cable hanging from it. She's an electrician by trade, and has some limited experience with the hive tech surrounding Roth.
Original model is one of the hasslefree modern soldiers here.
Hope you like her, and as always, please let me know what you think!

Great job on those cargo containers all around. Reminds me that I keep meaning to make some. So many ideas, so little time.
The plasma gunner looks really good but her neck looks a bit long. Maybe it's the photo?

Mate, there is something magical to your characters. The perfect blend of frailty and credibility. I've mentioned it before and you know what I mean, but it strikes me almost every time you show something new. This one, top notch!
I tend to be tight-fisted when it comes to praise, but with some of your creations I simply can't resist. Take it as the highest of compliments.

Hey all!
Still alive, but a very busy few months. Using a friend's computer briefly, but will update in full in the next few days. Thank you so much for all the kind words above - will respond fully when I can! In the meantime, here are a couple of new additions to the Jackals -
Both juves, but they will improve soon!
Here are the three newest additions together:
Thanks again for the interest, and sorry for the brief return! Will try to get back into the swing of things in the next few days

Yo Scarps.
I missed the Moss update. She is ace. I am really impressed with her bionic arm. It looks like she reallly has paid for her plasma gun.
The two new juves are cool. Viggo's spear has a very real feel to it. The little touches bring your minis to life.....eg tin cup.
Hope you are well buddy even if Hunt and ill people are keeping you far to busy.

How did I miss this update Scarper you done it again you achieve the models I wish I could (so much so I would be tempted to copy them) how you took that Vic torsos and create a casual top is beyond me
That is what I love about what you do those real life aspects, the casual hats jumpers jackets then combined with the grisly look heads just brilliant.
The juves bionic arm is a great addition not over complicated simple design works great in the setting, the seconds juve waistcoat is a nice touch makes her look more ready for an Apoc setting great work once again.

Hmmm... that 'back in the fold' update didn't last too long, did it?
@Weety - They're a great line. The jacket was supposed to be flak armour, intentionally a little too big for her. Could work for both I suppose, though! The spear-weilding chap was originally going to be called Tjader, but Viggo has kind of stuck
@PDH - Thanks Peter, really glad you like them! I was looking at Copplestone's scavenger line and admiring all the useless junk they carry with them, made me want to try a few more character touches on my own folks. Don't get me started on Mr. Hunt...
@Dave - Much appreciated, mate, that's really kind.
@Skalk - Thank you! I think It might be Fink (the lass in the flak jacket) first on the painting table, but we'll see how things go. Might need to knock together some more terrain before then!
@Monkeytroll - Good to see you around again! Thanks for the compliment. Viggo's head is one of the resin ones from Victoria Lamb's penal legion line.
@Sageheart - Thanks!
@Neil - Thank you very much! Really glad you like them. And I keep having to make new juves because my two settlements keep spitting them out! That and Peyma's Red Hand Bastards keep wounding all the grown ups...
@LDD - Thanks a bunch for the kind words! The bionic arm was a lot of fun to do - I was looking at the simpler things I've found in sci-fi films for some inspiration
Today's update is my entry for Skalk's awesome junk pile contest. The premise involved producing a pile of scrap ideally using no pre-fab items at all, but entirely from junk found around the flat. Go check out the competition thread for more entries. There are some really fantastic pieces in there and voting's currently open for the grand prize.
My entry represents a storage point for a group of scavengers; a spot to stash anything they find that might be useful or valuable before transport shows up.
There are two WiPs because I painted the shelter before cramming it full of junk.
CLICK THE IMAGES FOR BIGNESS
In case anyone's interested, here's the stuff I used:
Base - Cork from a placemat
Bus shelter walls - Expired work ID badge, expired student offer card (sob!), expired Historic Scotland membership card.
Bus shelter window - Clear plastic cut from a blister pack
Bus shelter roof - Offcut of corrugated plastic
Bus shelter rivet - Slices of plastic toothpick
Pipe bundle - Plastic cotton buds with the ends removed twined with copper wire
Fire damaged barrels - Diodes(?) from my old computer circuit board
Tool barrel - Eraser holder off a pencil
Sledgehammer - Toothpick wood and a mysterious metal piece found among junk on my desk
Paint roller - Toothpick wood and paperclip
Wrecking bar - Paper clip
Cogs - Watch parts
Bin bag - Square of bin bag plastic filled with plastic and wood offcuts and tied off with twine
Wheels - Wheel from a toy car cut in half
Really enjoyed all the weathering and the graffiti, and the whole thing was a lot of fun to put together. Hope you like it!
(and Peyma, if you're reading this, the QA won't forget about Saltash, taunting graffiti or otherwise )

Hey guys! Been a while - no excuses, just busy. Time to reply to some comments 2 months on...
@Monkey - Very kind, thanks! The graffiti was really fun to do. It's reaching the point where painting the rest of the terrain is just the chore until I can vandalise and weather it
@Dr. H - Cheers, man, much appreciated!
@Baiyuan - Thanks so much! Glad to see you're still enjoying
@Andy - That's really kind, thanks! Really well done on your silver, you totally earned it.
@Cap'n R - Clearly too afraid to give us the opportunity now that we're not completely fumbling and blind
@Ragsta - It had to happen somewhere! Pleased that you like it.
Today's update is a redo on Riggs. I never really liked the previous model and felt like it didn't really fit his character, so I thought I'd make a new one where he was actually toting the needle pistol I found! I was trying to go for a dynamic pose, and working at layering fabrics. Hope you like him
As always, would love to hear what you think.
