Thanks gang! Could be a bit glowy, to be sure, but I'm pretty happy:

Thanks for all the C&C along the way! Now, whatever next

Just beautiful graven. Fine job. Curious why it's a tau around what look like Necron pylons... or am I just misinterpreting?

Windor Newton brushes. Seriously. With the amount of dryrbushing you do, you really really need them.

The Tau in the Piranha still sitting there cracked me up. I guess their seat belts are VERY strong.

Winsor and Newton Series 7 are the way to go. Be sure to get regular series 7 and not the series 7 Miniature version. I keep trying various brushes, but I find myself always going back to the Series 7s.

take care

Yeah, we have seatbelts new-trek-movie style The top guy's arms are hanging free, actually, whereas the guy with the joysticks is locked in rigor... maybe.

Ruglud wrote:Agreed with others, the bases are a great concept that you've pulled of really well. Colour me impressed Mr Graven

Thanks guys. I really tried to tell a story with these; I ended up switching the 2 guys with detonantors, whilst the crouching guy is actually missing a foot and there's a little trail of cyan blood around the back.

Cheers for all the brush-tips. I shall investigate.

Anyway, what am I up to? Well, been working on my SoB, just getting them built and based just now. Won't bore you with the grunts, but other stuff:
Chicks with big guns -

More silly backpacks:

And the beginnings of yet more winged death!

Also, further adventures in the garage revealed this lot, scavenged by the wife from work:

Bless her heart Note the ork in a sombrero for scale purposes. I'm considering one or other of the back 2 for an alien gun emplacement, a bit Hoth-y. I can see it now: "Fire Boob Gun!" I'm dithering over what particular xenos-ery to go with though. Your thoughts, as always, appreciated,
anon,
graven

Can't go wrong when you have chicks with big guns

Yeah, the back two are more xeno-like, the front ones are more mud brick house things.
lol, someone has to make a boob gun, get to it. I suspect that that would work best as a Tau emplacement...?

i think the main thing is to know what size of a gunemplacement you want... orbital? artillery? or just a mere MG nest?

Tau? Hadn't thought of it like that. I am liking my colours though. My thoughts were deldar, slaanesh, nid or stealer.

and yeah, maxmini's stuff is awesome. Not sold on space rats or lizards Tbh. Mind you whatever I do will inevitably lead to an amount of piteous whining.

Ooo, a Nid version of it would be cool.
Something to think about along that line would be the anti-aircraft giant beetles from starship troopers... just the rear end, doesn't have to be the whole beetle.

Not that they can use it.. there are rules in place to prevent nids from using it.

For a Butt gun you would have to make the whole rest of the beast to go with it...

A Boob gun would only need to be a blob in the rough shape of the SW one and wouldn't necessarily need a head or legs and things... and there's temptation to make a pair...
