I have a unattached workshop 18x36 thats full of all my various hobbies (minis, power tools, armor, fridge ect) attached to a 3 car garage unattatched to the house. I have wall of kits, thou probbly not as much as WM. Wife makes her own money. As long as we pay the bills and save for the future. We buy what we want. (were also older professionals without kids)

Lastly when my wife mentions the number of minis, I mention her room of fabric ( she a costume designer for the Theater) We both smile and move on. Life is good!

Thanks for listening to me moan chaps. Things are marginally better, and I am using this as an excuse get on with painting. We've decided to BOTH have a bit of declutter so that's at least fair.
Meantime - dodgy phone pics notwithstanding - some blocking in turquoise:

And seraphim with wings and redone bases. Yes the pic is blurry, sue me, it's to illustrate poses

As I say lads I really appreciate the support from fellow old marrieds and bachelors alike!

Now get on with that repurposing!

The tanks are looking foxy mate, great work so far.

And decluttering sounds to me like an excuse to buy cool storage to hide stuff in. I take no responsibility for the marital blitzkrieg that would follow that course of action...

Sisters getting some loving ah yeah! I also saw the faeit rumour out of GD Germany to that effect, and had it in-no-way-confirmed from some staffers I seem to be getting some more sisters too, from another mate who's having a forcible woman clearout. May include 5 seraphim, 5 sob and 2 immolators...

Cheers, funnily enough I've been doing high contest robes for ever, it turns out - as part of the clearing I found helldorado minis that were early efforts, and in that style.

Giant clearing indeed:

Impressive graven. I've got nothing better than a gorilla rack to show off my minis.

I'm still amassing parts, but I'll have a pre-assembly pic in a week or less.

Good-o. I realise I'd not put one of the pics in, so I've fixed that.

So clearly, whilst getting distracted, I should NOT be making new stuff I'm not a big fan of penitent engines, they're rubbish - so by the time the new Codex comes around next year they'll be must-have-unstoppable-beardy-nerf machines, and twice the price.

I must have enough bits to build one or two, right?

Reckon so
Obviously much cabling and filling to be done.

Ah, good to see some use for the driver. To use dreadnought bboth for these as well as sentinel legs is a nice idea...

Pretty! You think SOB will be getting some lovely plastic kits for 2014?

Yup...still nothing here... I suppose it must be stuck at customs... Or lost in the warp...

Those arms...a bit too blocky looking for sister tech?

Anything for a bit of variety in poses Basic SoBs would be great eh?

Bother. That is annoying. As for the arms, well, the use of dread parts stemmed from thinking about Karamazov, and I really hate the giant flailing arms of the normal one. Still, the dread shoulders are bit chunky, could maybe be balanced by a shoulder pad affair on the other arm

You may be on to something there graven... build to the current weakness hoping it'll be compensated for in the next codex!

Just read the same... If only they released some plastic kits... I'd be all for it !!!

And yours are an inspiration too !! Not too sold on the discrepancy between the thin, Sentinel legs, and the stocky Dread shoulders, but hey... They'll look great when painted !

And when you've found a second flamer for them

Painted no, you've lost me, sorry
Anyway.
after some consideration I've removed the flamer:

Hopefully you can also see how it's starting to evolve generally. Of course, I'll need another sentinel to make a squad of 3
And the question becomes how to tackle the 2 flamers. SoB twin link, mounted on shoulder perhaps?

Damn, only 3 weeks left! That should be plenty of time to get my entry painted (at least the build is complete!) but I keep getting distracted- re-building and panting my IG, repairing a friends 4000 points worth of Space Wolves (he had them in a cardboard box and put a heavier box on top) and painting a gorgeous Battlestar Galactica kit, besides work and decorating a house!
I can do this, I can do this, I can....
