I really need to work up some proper Batman terrain, at the moment they're fighting it out over Gotham's Cardboard District and Packaging Park! And I've no excuse when it comes to Scatter Terrain, I've got plenty of DZ stuff!

Thanks mate. Don't knock cardstock terrain, it was my mainstay when playing heroclix. The deadzone stuff is a bit too sci-fi for Gotham I think, but the accessories are just perfect.

Thanks for clearing that up for him mate

Congrats sir!

Thanks

Caught up with an old friend last night, he gave me... Loot!

Something rather bizarre about walking home from the pub carrying a shrine of the Aquila the plastic grid we found in the street, looks like the top of a pub drip tray.

The front of the shrine had always felt very Gotham to me, and a ruined frontage would to my mind be very fitting for the board BUT is it too grimdark? I'll be de-skulling it.

2 weeks left on the LOER contest. Seems to be picking up -still time too!

One last thing. Tales of a tabletop skirmisher is organising a fundraising event Little Heroes for Little Heroes (http://pressganger.blogspot.co.uk/2015/08/little-heroes-charity-fundraiser-is-now.html?m=1). It's an excellent opportunity to raise money for Down's, and paint toy soldiers for auction. I think I'm going to do the promo Bulldog that came with the Kurganovas. Maybe surrounded by body parts?

Thanks one and all for the congratulations. My youngest is delighted though we couldn't understand why he was so desperate for a sister. Found out today :" She can be Batgirl".

Cheers gang

Kids are thrilled, both wanted a sibling and a sister especially (more fool them!) Like I say - not an accident, a surprise Thanks man. The boys are keen that she be brought up properly in the ways of the force, lego and xbox.

Fine by me! I built a fully motorised cable car system in my bedroom as a kid out of Meccano, so I'll be thrilled if that's her preference.

Not only guardian angels next door, but guardian angels trained in the deadly ninja arts that have been amplified by both the Force and the ooze who wield lights era and can construct defensive barriers from Lego....all while eating Cake. Safest girl in the world.

The owl is a Nice touch. I'm not sure who (no pun intended) the court of owls are as I was not a big DC comics fan.

Streetlights are from deadzone. Yeah, someone sent me cool bits let's hope my boys are her guardians. My mum's reaction was, "Knowing you, she'll have piercings and tattoos at 14." Not sure if she was trying to scare me or complement me!

Thanks. My best mate's wife is due the month after, so it's double trouble! Court are new 52 villains from Batman, shadowy background manipulators.

Spoiler:

I got a mighty box of plants and claws in the post today from Viktor

Lots of potential. I'm considering a completely overgrown 2nd mausoleum, like a greenhouse run riot, plants bursting through the roof (and providing a convenient flat raised surface in the process might have scored some more garden of morr bits generally so we shall see.

well... these bitz are pure gold.. and for your cause i godsend...for me the whole gothic look of 40k was always just a step apart from batman schemes...so go for it... i am also very interested in seeing a burst and grown out of it green house... there is something very poetic about it... liberation and all that...

Glad you like the building and plant ideas. Does seem rather poetic, doesn't it? I am pretty low key, I think what she meant is that any girl of mine will be more goth than pink.

Oh, I have some of those mini palm-tree-alike pieces. Not found a use for them yet. You now have more than I do.

Shrine pieces should work fine for Gotham. De-skull them, as you mentioned, remove any double-headed eagles (one head at least), and that'll probably do.

Mini palm trees? They were in the 3rd ed army box, IIRC. I have some lying around. They were strangely fragile when assembled too. I ended up pinning the trunk sections with Q-tips (cotton swabs. I think you brits have a different word for 'em) of all things.

Great news about the family size increase. Congrats and Best wishes.

Not much to show you alas. 2nd Morr shrine has had roof torn open. I have made khorne happy by sending many skulls his way having begun the de-grimdarking of the shrine of aquila. Now, a question - what, if anything should I replace them with? Many can simply be sliced off or GS smothered, but what of the very raised ones?

Pics at some point,Graven
