Nice looking table you have there.

I'm resisting the urge to make "what a nice bell tower"-type comments.
How is it holding up to regular use (structure and paint)? None of my things I keep get any use, so I don't know how they'd survive actually being used.

Nice Doomsday. Well done that man.

Actually, that's a good idea. I have a spare thug arm holding a car door. Now I have a new use for it

Yes, yes, you are a bad man.
And the bell tower is great. Practical and sturdy. Actually gets far more use than the rest of the Cathedral (as you can see!)

Yeah, it's very suspect, isn't it? ; I'm glad I did that, it was just on a whim that I went with various lovecraftian iconography on the ink shop.

Yeah, sacrilege, right?

Finally, I got a game with the sewer board!

Thanks, as always, to Camkierhi

Fun time tonight, we all floated down as Titan Joker faced off against AK Penguin run by my mate Steven.

His Reverse Flash caught the blunt end of Asker and Borgon (neurotoxic drugs are very potent in 2E, speedsters are still not fantastic), and my crew did a whole lot of slicing and dicing.

I'm not entirely convinced by Titan Joker yet but generally the speedy slice crew did well! Poor Big A...

Such a fun board to play on and folk were over checking it out all night.

Really stuck for how to base Flash/kid flash. Maybe newspapers swirling, some lightning burnt into the ground?
Thoughts?

i hang my head in shame for neglecting your awesome thread for so long.... totally not excusable in the long run...

so you got the sewer works from cam?

probably an at subconsciously preserving me from the numerous awesome nerd stuff you play with...walking dead?, DC and star wars minis... i am still trying to cope with my 40k addiction to hoard and not paint...

also...damn...you´re getting better...which is kinda depressing in perspective to my feeble panting attempts the last coupla months...argh...yeah with practice comes mastery....so much for that......:(

now trying to work through the inevitable backlog....

Oh, shush. Lovely to hear from you. How was your birthday?

Yup, a Cam original! I'm a lucky lad. The improvement in painting is mostly because of gitsplitta needling me there's so much talent on here - I've just been looking, listening, and learning what works for me.

Some GS work on various things.
Bit more work on Batmite's TV and the joker loot counter.

BvS based:

There will be ??? on them, just to continue the theme and break them up a bit also. Yes, rebirth batman in the background. Don't worry, he's armless

Based up the Studio Miniatures promo George A Romero zombie (Zombero?!), and more work on my fire barrel:

Started on the lightning streaks for Flash and Kid Flash:

Flash will obviously have bigger ones, kid flash is on a smoother base. Dunno, just felt right.

Oh, and Flash with flash on:

And a LexCorp heavy. He came without his guns - fed up waiting for KM customer service - and so debating gs covers (they are retractable in comics) or making some out of a couple of tau guns with flamer barrels.

And after about 7 very thin layers of model air...

Now to screw it up with writing, and more muck to hide the mistakes

KM customer service sucks. I’ve sent them multiple emails about the Bat Mite I got which is missing hi legs and no response at all. Keeps me from buying stuff from them, which is good and bad all at once.

Cheers mate. See below!

Something a bit different, doing some Z-95 Headhunters for my eldest's birthday. He likes Bounty Hunters, so we're getting him a couple of shiny new ships, but I managed to grab a couple of rebel Zs from a mate. Time for a repaint!

N'Dru Suhlak, space pirate. The boy's headhunter pilot of preference. This will stop him stealing my Rebel one. And the Nashta Pup, Bossk's personal shuttle. Because Vader wants them alive. Usable as a generic Z or the custom one if he sees fit.

Might try to sort him out with a couple of dial covers too.

Finished the bus. Stay back 50 ft - prisoners in transit!

As close as I could get it to the version in the show, albeit with the addition of the plough. Nice alternative to the Winnebago for broken down vehicle scenario too.

What's up next? Well, finally, I've started on my Walkers again. Busy weekend of family birthdays though and then off to Cumbria for a few days. Mostly, I plan on not driving, and everything that goes with that.

Yeah, the sewer rocks. It is indeed Rick, from the TWD:AOW starter set. Bat-Mite is awesomesauce. He's preposterously good in BMG but he has the Legend rank so you can't play him outside of a pre-agreed Legend scenario (the other Legends being Wonder Woman, Superman & Batman as a team-up, Lex & Joker as a team-up, Amazons of Themiscyra, and the Batmobile). In the DCUMG game he's more balanced as he's in amongst other Supers and is very good, but not brokenly essential

Thanks, glad you stopped by yeah I like that, just on a whim

Ships were fun. Nice to do something totally different. Looking forward to my U-Wing all the more now tbh. But the boy is getting to do his own Fenn Rau fly boy, damnit! Tempted to get him Scyk interceptor as there's a beast of a competitive list out there using that, Fenn and Jumpmaster but he's good enough to beat me as it is

Speaking of doing something different, Walking Dead:

I love Vivian chain needs a thin wash of smoke, I realise

I like mixing the official ones with ones made from bits

Anyone for tennis?

Walkers, ultimately, don't get any more love than that pretty happy. I guess I could nurgle rot the eyes at least.

Survivors get a bit more attention. So, another layer or two to come.

Had a total moment of shameless, accidental nerd joy today. I don't really leave voting on on my minis any more but have started doing so on some of my finished DCU. And accidentally clicked on the main dakka gallery link - and saw my Trinity Wonder Woman there, front and centre.
So yeah, go vote
Enjoying my holiday. May have had a beer.

Well a good break was had with much swimming, walking and consumption of victuals. Tiny person sleeping a bit better too, which makes all the difference.

Started back on Bat-Mite:

Obviously it's still very rough and ready, but final shape of TV is there now. Bit more GS filling, lot more smoothing. Hard part is done though.

Built my final Batman (Rebirth)

Repositioned batarang arm, originally down at his side. Bit less static. Still a nice sculpt though.

And a wee extra. Someone on the BMG Facebook made a balloon in a sewer grate for a scarecrow riddle. My titan Pennywise has one so anyway and I've not done riddles for joker, so I thought I'd steal that. Off the back of that, there was a "show me your custom objectives chat", and having seen my WIP birthday present someone suggested I do a crank handle for it:

Back to the normal routine now. The long dark march of the teaching year - mid Oct to Dec - begins now, along with limited gaming time (many parents' nights). However, I hope to sustain my general painting rhythm, and as long as everyone primed before the freezing weather hits I can just crack on over the coming months.

Adiós,
