Looks good so far. You could extend the brass edging over the sides of the talon to blend the kits a bit I think. (higlight the edges in brass if not actually sculpting on bits.

but very nice so far G

Won a crazy eBay bid the week before Thanksgiving; $90 for all this stuff plus a squad of Catachan:

In these photos, I was not done yet, but I have since finished them with some detailing (and pilots for the Vendetta) and my first foray into weathering powders. Thanks Kaiservonhugal for the tutoring.

What was crazy about this eBay auction was that everything was so cheap and when I received the items, it turned out they had been glued together with Elmers glue!! Crazy I know, but it was super easy to bust everything apart, file down sprue nobs, and glue back together.

I had a ton of free time over the Thanksgiving weekend and everthing you see here was done with my airbrush except for the red Chaos stars. I did a ton of the salt & hairspray trick. At first the green layers came almost completely off so I had to redo that stage. But I realized that with the second attempt I used a slightly different shade which turned out to give the paint job some realistic depth.

I'll post the finished photos when I get home from visiting family over the holidays.

Probably the pics, but these look a little monocolor or fuzzy.

You sir are an adict to FW. You must have an awesome wife to let you buy all of that.. oh wait you do. It looks good but I get what Sam was saying on the monatone and their are a couple of ways to fix that. If you want I can sit down and show you during Spring break when I know you will have time.

Listen, my children, as I pass onto you the truth behind Willy Wonka and his factory. For every wonka bar ever created in existance, Mr. Wonka sacraficed a single Oompa Loompa to the god of chocolate, Hearshys. Then, he drank the blood of the fallen orange men because he fed them a constant supply of sugary chocolate so they all became diabetic and had creamy, sweet-tasting blood that willy could put into each and every Wonka bar. That is the REAL story behind willy wonka's Slaughter House!

Death Guard decals showed up in the mail last week so I was able to put the finishing touches on one Land Raider. Of course, the day after I received the package Forgeworld released MkIII shoulder pads for the Death Guard so I will need to order those to match my MkIII guys.

Here's the joy that appeared when I opened the box (not all for me; some for kaiservonhugal)

And the finished Land Raider:

Finished by the Predator, but still trying to decide if I want to paint the treads so they look oily or not.

Nice! Loving the kill markings on the turret. I would leave the tracks as they are, no need to improve what is already perfect.

Despite not noticing the unfinished base on one of these fellas, I took some photos of the Death Shroud terms (and then finished the base.)

I love the models, but I sure am real klutz while playing games so these will soon become terminators holding broom handles. Enjoy while they last:

Actually... that was not planned. I lost the real bit that went there so had to make due with that one. And of course, found the correct bit just after I finished painting the model. Oh well.

It looks good anyway... the lines fit together quite nicely.

Finished Warlord, but now that I uploaded photos I'm seeing all the little details that are missing or messed up. Whose eye lenses bleed blood?

For any Tau fans out there, I'll be posting two Tau army commissions that I just finished soon.

Just finished a pair of Tau armies for a client. The photos share some models that could fit in each army; Farsight, Pathfinders, Fireblade & Darkstrider.

After painting the Tau over the summer, I took about two months off from painting, which in the last seven years, is the longest I went without picking up a paint brush. But I got back with some nice Eldar. The pictures are super washed out though. The models are actually black with blue highlights. I'll post better photos when I finish the detailing. I am also about to paint a pair of storm talons + one storm raven in Ultramarine colors, but can't decide if I should go bright blue cartoony or blue with chipped paint & battle damage. Any votes either way?

These photos were taken with an iPhone. I'm trying to figure out a solution for better photos.

Just completed some bastion conversions, well not completed; I still need to do some detailing. And I added some photos to the first post:

Necron Army Winter of 2012-2013

Daemons Ally Contingent December 2013

Eldar Ally contigent October November 2013

Dark Eldar 2012

The bastions look a little funny because some sides are removable so that the client can paint the interior if they choose.

For another client, I am painting some Ultramarine storm talons and a storm raven. I painted four interiors so that he can choose if he wants the glow from the interior cockpit of not. I'm not happy with how it turned out, but I'll let him choose:

It is amazing how that little wing change on the Stormtalons makes the model look sooooooooooooooooo much better.

In preparation for a campaign at our FLGS The Whiz on Route 9 in Worcester, MA, I built this using cork board. Each hole for the little flags has been replaced with a rare earth magnet so that the map is magnetized to the frame. That way tokens will stick to the map & the map can hang on a wall.

Players can make easy markers using nails. I'm magnetizing a set of Epic rhinos for my tokens.
