That's a stunning Reaver titan! Love the detail you've put into the cockpit and the other components.

Thanks! My red has changed a lot over the years (due to paint range changes). Currently, and also for this Reaver, I used a basecoat primer black, airbrushed base of mephiston red and airbrushed highlight of evil sunz scarlet. I do have a small bit of GW Blood Red from way back in the day that I'm saving for just specific units - haven't been able to find a matching red since it's always been my favorite. Looking back to my earlier models, I do have a more brighter red for my paintjob now - been trying to push the contrast a bit more than my old work.

Just that? No blending? There's almost a brown hint to that red, do you shade it down?

I have a few pots of blood red left over. Even one in the old hexagonal pot! If you're desperate give me a PM

Thanks! Those interior details took forever to paint but was worth the effort in the end

Thanks! I'll keep your offer in mind. Been trying to use sparingly my last blood red - if I run out and need more I'll shoot you a PM.

The base colours on the reaver are all done via Airbrush. The colours I listed I sometimes mix - there's no science to it so unfortunately it's harder to write out but I will at times do a blend of red and black which gives more of a brown tone. I usually will shoot from dark to red until I 'feel' that it looks right.

That titan is a damn close to hobby perfection as a model can get. I shall continue to pore over the pics for many days.

Sidenote: the links to the 3d printing bit are broken for me - do you have an alternative source for us to look at?

Thanks for sharing - a truly awesome display/gaming/bragging model (it really can't be called a miniature can it)

Thanks! Haha good to hear you're getting a lot of time with the pics. Makes all the effort of painting and photography worth it.

My hosting site expired recently and I'm not bothered to renew so the pics are gone. However the 3d printed terrain can be viewed here 3d printed terrain https://imgur.com/gallery/bpjfHgX

Took a bit of a break since the reaver but recently caught a hobby second wind and started painting up some land raiders. First up is a kit bash of various forgeworld and Warhammer world kits.

Wanted to make a venerable command Land Raider and used the following parts:
FW Mk2b LR
FW LR front door
Warhammer World command LR doors, cupola
LR crusader front tread armour

Sticking now to my annual posting schedule...it's been awhile! 2020 has been an f'ed up year so far but actually pretty good on the hobby front as I'm on WFH for the rest of the year giving me plenty of time to paint and build during evenings and weekend. I've picked up the BA painting once again so will try and update this thread.

First up, the 3 land raiders as a continuation from my last year's post:

Achilles Alpha Pattern Land Raider (w/ Blood Angels Rhino Doors)

Land Raider Archilles (w/ Sergeant Chronos and Terminator doors)

Land Raider Terminus Ultra (w/ Extra Armor)

Awesome, as always - and as always, awesome to see you posting here!

I love Blood Angels, and your work is inspirational - but my talent level isn't a match, so I'll probably be sticking to building up an Epic scale Blood Angel force!

Thanks Whale! Yeah I've got a ton of Primaris models I've bought waiting to be built and painted. I plan on getting to them once I make a bigger dent in my normal backlog though.

Dark Vengeance Boxset Chaplain and a regular SM Captain

a bunch of Librarians...

my Storm Eagle (from my first trip to Warhammer World many years ago)

a baby Storm Eagle (land speeder tempest)

and finally the solid kilo of pewter that is the classic Blood Angel furioso dreadnought

It's absolutely ridiculous how much you have done over the past 10 years, you have to be one of the most dedicated painters out there who isn't doing it pro.

Dude there can't be much left in the regular line for you... are you gonna go Primaris? *looks above and sees answer* - ok, so yes to Primaris after backlog... what is your current backlog lol???

Ha it's getting better though with the whole stay at home thing...been able to make a sizeable dent in the backlog this year and hoping to keep up the momentum.

Some new chaplains to add to my ever growing list of chaplains (I think I'll have enough to have a mini chaplain army soon)...

First up is the chaplain from the space marines heroes boxset:

Followed by the Blood Angels specific chaplain with jump pack:

Quick update with some more models I've done up recently. These ones are all scouts with the first being Sgt. Telion which I've painted/stripped and repainted a few times now with the latest version being the last one. One of the many pewter models in my collection:

Next up is a 5 man squad of standard scouts all with respirator helms...definitely good for these times!

And finally some really old school scouts all in pewter. These sculpts have held up well over the years and I'm glad to be able to add them to my collection.

Great to see this awesome collection continue to grow! The Achilles and Storm Eagle are particularly sublime.

Looking forward to your Primaris stuff!

Thanks Luther! Primaris is around the corner...I hope but I want to finish off my old models first (otherwise I feel like I'll never paint the old stuff after trying Primaris).

Been quickly working through the backlog...done now are 4 apothecaries/sanginuary priests:

And some quick and dirty death company marines in old school metal...

These guys were fun to speed paint with the squad taking about 5 hours (1 hr per model).

Eggroll, your work is always a pleasure, and you are forgiven for the hiatus!

Thanks for sharing your latest round, which I have finally finished admiring. Really awesome work as ever, although I am terrified by your organisation of the to-do list

Appreciate it IGtR! I do have OCD and getting an inventory of my backlog and painted models into a spreadsheet was something I was able to do "hobby-wise" other than buying models while I wasn't painting .

Masters of the Chapter done...at least the 4 from the pewter boxset from awhile back:

Even though these models are quite old now, the sculpts still hold up very well and I had a lot of fun painting up these guys. Still need to to the other 4 masters of the chapter that came out after these which are in finecast...

Thanks Inmygravenimage! Yes I’m particularly happy with how the clothe colour has turned out on these guys!
