Makes sense - They were always armed and equipped in similar ways.

If Marines have BS4, then I think a Squat IG army should have BS5. Squats are in every way superior after all

Is there like an official story as to why jervis hates squats? Or even a rumour. Did he get beaten a lot by squat armies or is he just racist to short people?

I always thought it was odd, given that the wargear list allowed comissars a vast array of nasty guns, that this guy only has a lasgun and a bayonet. Maybe it is a special lasgun

Well. That model had three layers of paint on it and the bottom one was purple! Odd choice of primer. I can see some more detail now all that is off.

Well would ya look at that. There was a fantastic looking commissar under all that blobby paint!

The painted commissar is also amazing, love the sword especially!

Yeah, that is a special gun - it's connected to his headset and he just wanders around the battlefield yelling 'Mau'dib'.

I love how he has an open mouth once stripped, but it was closed while painted.

commander cain and vallhalla - it was very very thick paint - I think this was one of the first models I purchased and at the time I didn't know how to strip paint so I just painted over the already really thick paintjob. I think someone had already painted over the first paintjob. So I am very pleasantly surprised to find detail under the gunk.

That sounds like a great comic - proper sci-fi.

I was thinking about stripping some of my squats so I could make up a squad in the new paintjob. But I thought I should take a photo of the old paintjobs to help me decide.



Some problems I have with these miniatures; They look a little to blond and tanned like some kinda beach squats, and for my current tastes the blue and grren are too vibrant. On the other hand I am awfully fond of them and they are very very neat.

Well quite obviously after the gribbly nids nom-nommed all their buddies these 5 decided to hitch a ride to the Hah-Y-E system and spend some time with the surf. After a few decades of this they'd run out of funds and had to go back into the mercenary business so that they can afford to travel over to the N-T-Podes as they've heard good things about the booze and women in that cluster.

And they need those RayBan visors on the beach you know.
