Definitely not a top-of-the-range sculpt.

Well, I know what I'd do with it, but that's not what everyone would do with it Don't forget that I have no compunction about cuting up rare and limited edition minis, I'm far more interested in what can be done with the parts unless it's a vey cool sculpt...and even that's no guarantee of safety.

He really doesn't need those arms at all, he'd be far more comfortable some writhing tentacles in their place I feel - although to be fair, that could just be because I'm on a tentacle tip at the moment (not literally I hasten to add - I've not converted the boat into some kind of hentai theme park).

But yeah, me, I'd lose the arms for a start - that's some fugly weaponry he's kitted himself out with. Hat needs a bit of work too

At the very least I'd say you need to swap the weapons - but do you want him as a cool mini, or as a bit of history? That's where you'll find your answer.

He's obviously a Radical Inquisitor, using those demon weapons and strange alien weaponry to fight the Imperium's enemies. Looks like he might have some of the taint in him.

Uncle Remus?

I like him a lot. His hands and weapons are his weak spots though. That's for sure.

Changing them may be a bit harder than normal. The hands come off of his wrists at an unusual angle.

Nice work, weets!

If your still thinking about diversifying I'll second both Infinity and Brushfire. Infinity is unbelievably beautiful, even more so in person. Brushfire is great too and very lighthearted, plus Emily is a joy to deal with and DCM's get a lovely discount! Oh and OTLG have Endless Fantasy now too which looks sweet, it would probably be right up your street.

P.S. It'd be cool to see you take part in the Great Marine Swap too!

Superb mini that one weets, Its a great collection of Inquisy guys your are collecting , I would no doubt convert like monkey , but i do love seeing your sympathetic painting and the original sculptors visions re brought to life within your collections .

have you seen the stuff of legends page on these guys ?

looks like he most probably is a radical. Do you know who sculpted him ?

the paintjob on the new girl is lovely. I see your illuminated style has moved into a realist phase proper.

Interesting. I like two of those commissars at the bottom of the Solo Legends page:

1. The one with the tie because he's pretty odd and unique

2. The one with the book raised above his head because I like books.

Dude with the tie!! Amazing. The shear unfocused genius of it.

I love books too.

Thanks neil. I am totally into realism now - at least when it comes to humans! Eldar and such are exempt from realism. I really enjoy making them look real - I'm going to look up some pics of dirty harry before I paint that dude so I can get the colours right.

Casy I might have to get some of the remotes - but then I will have to get some of the people too or it will look silly. So I might wait till I get an airbrush. And brushfire has to wait till I have dementia and a house full of cats. Or not. We will see.

Monkeytroll I knew you would think he needed tentacles. Nothing wrong with hentai so long as all the cartoons are over 16. Actually there is a lot wrong with hentai but whatayagonado.

somehow I forgot that I was meant to be finishing the cheerleader and got stuck in to dirty harold. Hes not quite done - I'm contemplating a pattern on his jacket and obviously sharper focus pics would be nice, but I'm very happy with progress so far.

Very nice and you get bonus points for realism! The fabrics particularly stand out to me. How do you do that? It's something I greatly admire in Minus' miniatures too.

As for Brushfire, I have a rather large box heading to the UK in the next few weeks and I'm sure there is room in it for you to fill if you change your mind. That's free shipping and you can make use of my discount... Just sayin'!

I'm just not ready for weasels badgers and stoats yet! I'm wishing I had bought more from hasslefree now as I'm really enjoying painting them. As you say I made a special effort to make the fabric look real (aided by the fact that it was sculpted realistically) The wooly sweater specifically got some subtle work with the brush to give it woolyness and I tried to make the trousers look smooth and ironed and nylon.

Looking forward to you posting up a brushfire blog - send us a link when you do.

That sweater looks great. Heck, the whole mini does. I wonder what you could have done with this though:

Superb looking mini anyway, the subdued tones work really well for him.

I really dig your painting style weety, your stuff is looking really nice. I really like the sculpts that come out of Hasslefree and Heresy as well...one of these days I will splurge and get some of those trench coat gang figures...

I am anxiously awaiting your painted Andreah model by Kev White...she would make an excellent Escher leader!

Also, I keep seeing your Blog title and excitedly jump in hoping to see some genestealer hybrids...any more coming on that front in the near future?

HI Fango! There are two hybrids left to roll out (and a whole box full of crappy plastic space hulk ones which I might try converting). They are near the top of my "want to paint" list (space marines are right down at the bottom I'm afraid). I assume the heresy models you mean are the ones that look like delaques. Heresy seems to me to be an exercise in dodging copyright - which I'm all in favour of of course. More variety for the gamer and profits for the small business.

Thanks for the complements everyone, they make me smile. They do look rather good don't they. I've been trying to improve my skills and stuff. Obviously it helps that Kev the hasslefree guy is a superb sculptor, and that vallejo make excellent paints. I will keep on trying to improve (because I may as well).

I'm Going for a more colourful palette on Andreah. I'm thinking purple, but I'm not quite sure yet - I wonder if anyone else has painted her recently. A search shows one example by "painting possum" who has given her a shiny (rubber?) black coat and purple dreds - I may swap that around for mine.

Monkeytroll I love the way you've equated man-flu with the end of the world!! Get well soon.

Moving on swiftly here is Amoy. She is a little more colourful as befits a teenage skateboarder. I wanted to draw a little smiley face on the yellow badge but I just cant do it - I need micron pens!

I just purchased my first Squat mini. It's all thanks to you, Weets. I used to think Squats were dumb, but you've shown me the error of my ways. Unfortunately, I don't beleive I'll be able to afford an entire squad of the little guys, so he's destined for hard time! He's to be a member of my penal squad.

I would, except I already have an Arbites officer for that role. Besides, we can't have those dirty abhumans in any role of authority, can we?

How well does your fabric painting style hold up to batch painting? I have a horde of LotR elves to paint and they all need black robes, some tips would be much appreciated!
