I was really sorry to hear about your illness, but it's certainly awesome to have you back here with us! As for your recent update, it's fantastic to see that you have returned to the one true god One very small gripe, though: While I think the new additions to your Blood Priest are pretty cool, it seems like a bit of a missed opportunity that the breastplate's high collar now obscures the skull faceplate. And I would maybe consider adding some kind of tabard or loincloth, as the area below the breastplate just seems ideal for that.

Looking forward to your next update!

Thanks Theophony!

A few more things I've been working on:

You remember this guy?

I had originally posted him on my other "Current Projects" thread when I had current projects...I'll get back to that thread, but for now, this thread is my focus.

Anyway, it started out as the old "Doomrider" model that had been mixed in with a bunch of crappy CSM I got off eBay, so I cleaned him up, and converted him over to the service of Khorne. I could tell he was not happy in that roll, and when I made the newer bigger model for a Jugger Lord, as seen a few posts back, I was able to send Doomrider back to his roots, and make him into a Slaanesh Lord on a Steed, with the Burning Brand and a Power Sword. I still want to add some stuff to him, like some stirrups or something, and mabe a Slaanesh icon on his shoulder pad.

Will I ever use him? Who knows. But I do have some converted Noise Marines that will go with him if I ever do use him. I'll post the pictures of the Noise Marines at a later date...

And Using parts from Doomrider's bike, and a large portion of an old Kharn model, I made this Chaos Biker Lord:

I have some stuff to do to him as well. I had planned to have him as a Generic Lord, but I need to put some Khorne icons back on him.

Anyway, that's all for now.

Thanks for stopping by!

Took me a while to create my last post, so I missed your's KS! Thank you very much, it's great to be in the clear and getting back to things that really matter, like Wargaming!

The Blood Priest's face plate is still visible from above, just obscured for the angle of the picture, I'll take a better picture when I get home in a week or so. The tabard idea is really good! I'll see if I have any bits that will fit, if not, I'll sculpt something! Thanks!

Hey all,

I also wanted to show off my kit-bash/conversion of a Dark Angels Librarian into Cypher. There are still some rough spots to clean up, but he's pretty much done. The glossy parts are Plastic Weld. I couldn't get some of the places where I cut away Librarian symbols to sand down, so I smoothed them out with the plastic weld. Hopefully it won't look odd when I paint it.

Oh, and also one of my Chaos Spawn. I probably showed him before, but after I got one of the Green Stuff Tube Makers, he took a turn for the better!

I'll be home in about 5 days or so, so I'll try to do some more updates after that.

Thanks for stopping by,
RSJake

Yeah Vik! I have seen those! If my basing pattern was something like that, or bricks or even metal diamond plate, I would have gotten those too. But my bases are just small rocks and sand...kind of boring, but it looks good with Chaos I think.

Shas, yeah, I try to dip my toe into a few blogs here and there, but here at work I don't have much "surf the net" time like I used to, I am actually expected to do work at this job. I know, crazy right? I'll try to visit everyone, and at the VERY least, look at the pictures, if not read the endless talk about rivets.

Hi again!

So, I've been working on the next update for years. At first, when the old Daemon codex was still new, I wanted a Skulltaker on a chariot, because it seemed bad ass! So, I go to work on it. I posted it at the time, but I'm not sure where the pics are, I'll look for them later.

Then, the new Daemon codex came out, and that option was gone. The only option for Skulltaker was on a Jugger. I figured, OK, it can just be a counts as. I never got to use it before the Daemonkin codex came out, and Skulltaker can't take any upgrades! What the heck?

So, I decided to use the setup to make a Proxy Blood Throne. I used a Tomb Kings Chariot, some Marauder Cavalry, and a Herald from a Juggernaught. Here is the result:

I actually like it better then the "Daemon Hot Rod" of the official model.

Let me know what you think.

Thanks for stopping by,
RSJake

You should see if you can get a couple of those chaos hatch spike circles that come with the Chaos Rhinos (you know, the ones that're all over the place on badly chaosified models) and put them over/around the wheels as fenders.

GENERATION 8: The first time you see this, copy and paste it into your sig and add 1 to the number after generation. Consider it a social experiment.

Also, I've been working on some female Cultists.

I got these female "cadian" bodies about 3 years ago, and never did anything with them. Now I feel is the time.
The heads are my own sculpts, and the arms are from Wargames Factory.

And here is the whole Squad. I have enough to make 2 more squads.

And the Champion is my own sculpt as well.

Let me know what you think,

I see the Battle Troops are equipped with auto-weapons and stubbers with shotguns as well. Looking good!

took me a moment to get the scale of the arms in my head... now it looks quite fitting! i like that squad... and even more since you use your own helmeted scultps!
has flamer girl long hair under her skullgasmask?

the chariot ensemble is a bit less to my own taste...the riders on the horsebacks dragging the chariot...i never felt that really necessary... feels kind of wild west to me...
but i like the actual combo of coachman and the chariot...

Yes Chap Cy, they would look better painted, I'll work on that!

El Vic, I only used the riders for the chariot because the riders, or "Bloodletter crew" of the Blood Throne get their own attacks, and since they are AP3 attacks, it didn't feel right leaving them as plain horses...and I didn't have daemon horses! Just wanted to make it semi-WYSIWYG. Oh, and yes, the flamer girl does have long hair under her skull helmet!

As for painting, I actually said yes to a local gamer friend who does commissions who was pestering me about playing with an unpainted army.

So he is painting some of my vehicles, so I'll post those when they are done.

I just don't think I can let anyone but me do the actual infantry models though, so I'll get in gear soon and get some paint on the rest.

for painting minis^^

and i see now... tho i wonder if one could have made the attack aspect of the horses show without any need for riders....what about sculpted fangs... and the paintjob will add a certain flavour too i suppose?...hmmm... maybe...wait for it...tentacles even...... naw...that wouldn´t be khornish enough...mebbe some hormagant like claws then?

The phoenix group were who made those female IG ages ago I assumed that was where you got them from

She was a converted one I made from the first batch that was in cream resin, before they got redone in the grey resin.

To be honest there aint much of the body showing

Not bad Jake I like the almost marble effect on the pad and the darker red is more grim and fitting.

I really like that you chose to do the chainblade in the ivory finish which looks great I might have to try that with my traitor guard.

oh.... yeah... that looks neat... marble looks nice...and the horns are very lifelike too! a very unique look for a khornish fighter... because... white... always the association to virgin/ unguillty...instead of bloody and angry^^
