The balloons and multicoloured papier mache confuse me though, I'm not quite seeing where you're going with this. Maybe I missed it, but do have any concept art of what you're aiming at?

Flyer and Gondola now have scale comparatives, nice! I think Gondola needs a bigger bag section, just my opinion

actually fathers day presents have all been devoured by me already... here we celebrate that around may^^

and ruglud... no actual conceptart i could show you... as i am making that up as a go along...

at the moment i am trying to figure out if the blimp should look like a lying eight or if i am building up the middle part to the same level of the ballons...

once i am finshed buidling up the papermache will paint everything in a scheme i haven´t come up yet^^... so don´t fear the rainbow mate... it will never be seen again once this build is finished^^

Painting is ove-rated, personally I much prefer the converting / scratchbuilding aspects of our hobby

Oh, and I'm sure you've seen it, but I love the look of this dirigible...

The gondola is fabulous vik. Those front windows are amazing. The balloons hd me puzzled as well, but if your still deciding on whether or not to build it up I say no. I stead mount a heavy turret between the two bubbles. The airship will have to be sideways to the opponent like the old "puff the magic dragon" to unleash its wrath.

Didn't realize the size of the flyer, and hence the size of the airship, thanks for the scale picture with the soldier.

Amazingly such an airship was envisaged by the 19th century French..

Although this more a hot air balloon than Zeppellin / Dirigible airship...

to tell you the truth... i still have not the foggiest idea how it will look once it is finished...there is still so much room for it transforming it will puzzle us all

and i am eager to see that order... what can it be?...also...this will be a most welcome oportunity to update your ole thread of yours for once ...

amd yep... aren´t they the picky once? but i can only say... wouldn´t have it any other way

at ruglud and theo... the idea to mount a turret there is very tempting... hadn´t crossed my mind yet...hmmmm...remind me of this once i have finshed covering the first coat of papermache around... then we´ll see if this is still possible...

and also ruglud... yeah... such a dirigible concept would have been nice... the rudders for once would look probably better than the setup i have come up for now... but well... decisions had been made^^

er...I take that as a compliment... although... some one more intelligent than me could only verify IF I am one of the intelligent at all^^...although...if grades would have been a way to measure it I would measure up...(though at my school grades mean nothing... the dunces have good grades too don´t you hate it if grades are given for just being there???)

I know what you mean as to the changing of your concept and the actual build, I myself had a similar experience recently sculpted a whole arm and then ripped it of it just did not look right or work well.

So the building aspect can be fun at times along with bloody frustrating at others, but stick with it as I want to see an actual finished airship

As for the munda figures what are you looking for exactly, I might have some odd plastics gong spare if you want them ? once I find them that is

as for the munda issue... well I atm have no concept... steampunky would be my ideal choice of course... or I could do something really different and to a kinda jungle troop of apocalypse now looking gang members? with all the catachan and orlock stuff I have... that is really a big option...but if you have some ideas you want to share I am all open ears

well I used balloons ... blown them up to full size... and in the middle you see some Tabaco cans...(note...I am no smoker... I got these cans from a friend from school...there were meant for a school project... but I solved that in a different manner...so now I can use them this way...)

and after I taped them together with cheap masking tape I then covered all with cheap cloth my wife gave me...and then I started paperpache-ing the whole thing... first coat is now aplicated and drying in the sun... today the second coat needs to be made... then I will figure out if I do that middle turret idea...

actually I will pop the ballons once the whole thing is sturdy enough!...I just have to make sure the ballon (blimp) is sturdy as heck...^^
