Well Vik, your ideas often scramble my mind... And that's no yolk.

For the snow effect you could use the left over egg white and whisk up a nice meringue base - looks good and tastes even better. Yum,yum

well...you are all found guilty for making me ruin my current paintjob... the spikes fell off leaving with a patch of paint... now back to the drawing board... I have already added fins... I think they look quite decent...needs now more basecoats...but we are about to go swimming... the heat is nearly unbearable...all windows closed and the curtains down it is to be endured...

Hope it's not too bad. I'm sure you'll rescue it fine. Any rough patches/joins can be covered by snow though.

is there some kind of chemical reaction going on? how will this react?... before this piece i never considered snow as an option for my models... but well... if this works... one never nows...

and do i aply all on the base where i want it or do i mix the ingredients somewere else...like the pallete?

Mix it in a container not on the piece! just have fun and mix it. Its like that. It is cheap stuff, and you will figure out a consistency that works for you.

well... the day wasn´t that hot... we went swimming...(well my wife and the kids...i stay at our camp HQ and watch the stuff always has been always will be my position... i am guard^^...
thanks for the above assurance! now i can go on happily mixing the stuff...!

now onto the new pics... with fins!

asi said i had to cut into the base of the object here to have a more secure connection... after i glued them into position by putty and a mix of PVA i then covered everything again with PVA (ok only the upper surface and the fins...) now it is almost one whole object thus...

should i add gems to the fins too?

and then i am also working on this steampunky tower here... i am thinking of keeping this out of the terrain competition but making this just for the fun of it and after that really doing something for the big gun comp...your thoughts? by the way... what you now see is a sawed off water pistol... together with lotsa PVA and air dry clay and a cork mat...there will be some more additional details of course...

ok... it has some horrible mold lines... i need to fix these... if they make too much hassle then i simply cover them up...

cheers, vik

Mostly, on my phone.

Nice idea with the toy gun, and the punched holes in the edges of the eldar piece are very effective indeed. I would say yes to more gems cos, well, that's the point ears for you. Also, staying on shore very wise, keeps you safe from deep ones
