"Da blue sharky" nom nom nom bombing a city near you.

That blue is great vik, I can't wait to see the green grots on their to see how all the colors look together. I like the metallic effect.

That blue is fantastic! Now a dark wash around the panels and rivets and job'll be a good'un eh?

Not where I should be

Beautiful work Vik, as always. I love the blue.

Totally personally, I would not be to bothered about "uneven" paint on ork and grot gear. They are not really known for their perfect paintwork.

I usually do painted surfaces with a thick coat of paint as I think the grots will slap it on, I really doubt they use airbrushes.

Keep at it sir, it looks amazing and promises to be AWESOME.

no, don't worry about uneven at all, a wash'll tie it all together. It's one of those painting exersizes in patience, it always pops in the end, it just sucks waiting until then.

ach.... well... i had that come out of jail card stuffed in my pants pocket too (the uneven paintjob that green hides provide) and i didn´t want to use it for now

we´ll see how a wash will make everything look... usually i use a pure wash... but that might darken the whole thing too much, eh?
also... i have looked up some decals that i want to use...if i had used a simple blue i could have used so many ultramarine stuff.... but with the metalic blue this is outa question... so i will resort to IG skulls...for trophies...any other nice additions i could use?

the "parley" writing i will soon try graven...have no fear^^

and thanks for your neverending conficence my friends...!

bombing a city near you.
brilliant LOL

I agree. I don't think the uneven paint is something to worry about on a grot vehicle.

"Working at the Grot wash" I think they would be spending too much time beating each other with hoses and trying to avoid the water as much as possible. You should get. Small thin wire and anchor it o the tail of the plane trailing behind it, and then greenstuff some grot underwear hanging on it. The plane took off after doing the short grot safety inspection checklist and forgot to take down the clothesline still tied to the plane. Of course the pants should have hearts on it or the queens emblem on them.

I'm sure the ideas are from brain damage. I cracked my head open three times as a kid, no real permanent damage they say , but they didn't know me before they stitched me up either .

Asurmen Blue is the old blue wash, and Nuln Oil, Agrax Earthshade are some of the new ones (replacing Badab Black and Devlin Mud). The new blue wash is Drakenhof Nightshade.

Because I'm pedantic. Forgive me.

LOL.... all is good... breath in breath out

i think i feel atm a little too old to memorize the new GW paint names

at comrade... i have thought about adding rust... and i dunno if i am able to do so... could ruin very well the whole model... tho also it would make the whole model way more cool looking...maybe i test on a hidden spot if this might work...

in other news... atm started on painting the crew...but no pics of this for now...

cheers, vik

I vote no rust. Grot planes and their pilots aren't around long enough for rust to form .

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far, away...

Vik, you didn't go Pink :(

Oh well, I'm over my disapointment now... Paint job looks good, but I personally think some weathering wouldn't go amiss. Maybe some simple sponging over the edges, even if not rusty, there will be paint wear to show the bare metal underneath - also some gimy oil streaks here and there?
