I absolutely LOVE the heavy rivetization of them!

I have yet to get the right idea how to base this... the plastic base you see now currently serves the purpose but I am not sure what it should look like...

danke shaso!^^

at dave... you gotta have rivets...its the law^^

You should tie it together with the fort you built and make a little wooden palisade fence around it.

Hmmm, there was talk about an outhouse back then already , but that would have to be wooden and not all metal...I am currently considering a metal fence tho...

Well barbed wire and chain link do allow for maximum ventilation

well time for an update... had this already uploaded but just didn't find the time to post it...

following red harvest´s suggestions I added an opened belt with additional gear ...

the base is still untouched... the maximum ventilation approach tho is totally up my alley...

but currently the fathers day leading to children´s day project has drawn away my attention... my kids and me not only played with new nerf water guns... that was fun and a half if I say so myself^^... but we also started building "together" a cardboard tank of a bigger scale...

it is quite a big tank... the turret is able to turn and the tank as such is in a stage of painting... more pics will follow...

cheers mates, vik!

Nice detail work on guardsman and his "silent place".

The tank is cool as well.
Would be interesting to see it with a few more "bits" here and there and the right paint on it.
I'm quite sure you'll no longer be able to tell it's from card board.

Awesome big tank, how much did the kids actually get to do? It will be brilliant with a lick of paint.

Good work on the guy on the throne.

Great work on the tank vik and little Viklets , always fun with family projects.

That guardsman looks like he was caught with his pants down literally , also doesn't look like he was going 1 or 2, looks more like some alone time .

at shaso...you´ll like it even more once you see it with a lick of paint... my kids insisted on ultramarine blue with white bands... so far I've painted with my oldest son felix today quite some bit of metal to the tracks and some other parts...

thanks graven !^^

theo... you mistake the tissuepaper probably for a revealing paper, eh? ^^...
and not only joyous but also stressful... I really need to shift down a gear with my own expectations... brushstrokes are everywhere...:( but we will get there in the end!!

at cam... always the finger on the aching spot... most of the structure was done solemnly by me... my kids worked on the wheels, and the treadshoes were done by felix too...there is so much cutting work involved that they couldn´t help me any more... I think the next tank needs to be simpler...and there needs to be at least one more...after all it takes two...

at pfibp ... I am afraid there wont be any more details...at least no 3D ones... maybe painting will solve a bit of the wide empty spaces...
but the lick of paint already happened... and well...you decide later on if awesomeness is achieved...

and thanks panda!!!

Good progress on the toilet occupant.

Nice collaborative effort on the tank. I see it follows GW's approach to calibre.

Could we call him the 'loaf-pincher' instead? Or maybe 'dookie-dropper'?

The belt makes a nice detail to sell the idea of pants.

Cool tank too. Never thought of scratch-building as a family activity myself, but it looks like it works very well for you

Nice tank, and it's great you were able to build it with your kids.

I look forward to gaming with my children one day.... probably after my sons stops smashing army men together to resovle combats.

Tank is fantastic, if not a bit pecker - heavy

Barbed wire around you when you're most vulnerable makes sense!

The Guard sat pondering, has quite a look of despair on his face, good choice. And the trousers round his ankles/ knees look great. The additions of the items on the belt do add to the scene.

The mimic Portaloo is great, reminds me of the monster from D&D

I do love the fact that even the cardboard tank with your kids is full of details My next project for my son is Thor's hammer and Caps shield, but that will be done with out his creative influence lol.

That tank is cool, I hope this means the mini-Viks are getting the modelling bug.

And I wish everyone would leave the guy in the lavvy alone.

He's just trying to 'drop the kids off at the pool' or 'lay a cable' hahaha!!!

It looks seriously wicked.... but you do need to add a few books and magazines in there... No bathroom is complete without its own little library

Good work Vik.

Indeed I did mistake the toilet paper for other reading material.

The tank looks suitably heavy to be the centerpiece for an army.

hey mates... long periods of quietness always means I am up to something...

well... the tank got coloured...and the barbed wire and fence got done too....and I have the pics to prove...

look here:

WP´s for the comp as it is how it is done

sanded and primed already...

and even basecoated...

never mind the white beneath the bases... I prime in the tops of shoe boxes... makes it more easy to turn around the stuff that needs priming...

also... the kids tank...
indeed dave... it is a bit top heavy... but young boys like big guns

and the kids did take part in the painting process... each kid had its go, in each colour only the details got taped to be workable for my kids... the name... well my son felix was also a bit flabbergasted about it but I couldn't help it

thanks for looking...cheers, vik
