Love the work on the base Vik, but shouldn't the fence be bent inwards if that's how he mimic came in? I guess it could have bit and torn the fence outwards then hopped in to disguise itself.

Tank is looking sweet with the paint on it good job mini viks

LOL... well that´s definitely a scheme that doesn´t help you hide from your enemy^^...

I know the scheme appears to be Scottish of origin...but was entirely based on :

and the thing with the fence... of course it was meant to be bent in the right way... but thee material wouldn´t stay bent in the right shape...

and I have no means for heat bending it...argh....and yeah... the fence posts could have bent better maybe... ach... weeeellll....

LOL... dirtydog...lol... well this is something that currently might happen on many more threads... but actually is quite regular duty on this thread

"may the empress bless all who ride in her"

I just hope you made a typo there... my wife by the way thinks the bright eyestraining blue looks ugly too... and asked me to change it subtly... but the kids want to play already wiith the tank... I am between a rock and hard place

Well, it's the kid's tank...if they like the blue it should stay blue

Err...oopsie....I automatically think of most vehicles as feminine, guess I should have thought a little harder about it in this case

Yeah the fence looks great, maybe its bent that way from the last guardsmen that saw the mimic and ran straight thought it in abject fear and horror.

Would you have preferred it be said "Emperor bless Victor and all that ride him?"

a charming idea... my youngest oskar would approve for sure!

well mates... it is time to bring this mere thread back on track... a half track that is...!!!

ever since the shocking revelation of the tauros troop transport grinned on my computer I thought this must be some vehicle you could in some extend be able to scratch build yourself...

and recently I have had some time and motivation to give this a go...
(mind you...it is probably twice the size of a tauros... the upper part, the roof of the cargo era is clear plastic but will get painted...as the inside is not accessible anymore...(piece of junk...the clear plastic I mean )

I used caps of milk packages as wheels for the front part and the treads where made by some weird plastic discs I got from a junk market (you read right we have a creativity shop of an urban initiative here that sells practically junk to finance other projects...the junk is gifted by anyone willing to share it on a non profit basis... I go there from time to time...)

also...the scale comparison is assisted by two scions sniper conversion...I couldn't help myself anymore and ordered me some bits...

hope you like, cheers, vik

by the way... all parts are still not attached...I am still waiting on some ebay treasures to detail everything up a treat...^^

Looking good vik, 10x better than the taurox . Really like the extra large fenders as the crew can jump out and hide behind the fender for cover.

well, depending on the bits...(rhino doors probably for doors on the cabin and some weird other reuses of other SM stuff I bought recently...) there will be footboards that will form from the fenders... I think this will look quite good...^^ hopefully^^

wouldn't say 10 times... but well... a bit more sound at least...

also...I am totally undecided whether this is an actual IG vehicle or a looted one...any ideas... as it is still highly WIP everything is still possible...

That's a great looking start vik

Has a nice chunky look to it.

I think it'll work well as an actual guard vehicle - once the details are in place and it gets some brass rivet strips it'll be magnificent

Nice work Vik. Liking the track wheels.

Looks distinctly Viktorian. But that doesn't mean it can't be ViktOrkian.

it will not be as ornamental as my big red tank, but brass is a given once I've decided what army will be associated with this halftrack...

ViktOrkian...now that is a term I need to remember... I need to trade mark that in fact
and in the grander scheme this is only the first one...the build makes it possible to have lots of variety...

Prussians? So the tank is Prussian blue. Neat.

That tank is really a great little project with the kids. Keep it safe. You could show them some weathering techniques to tone down the blue a bit to placate the Mrs.
