Well dsteingass came through like an absolute legend, delivering some golden scaled pics of a thundebolt and a marauder.

A quick resize in gimp and i basically have the perfect set of templates.

So i got straight to it, putting the Caestus (which was really just a placeholder while i waited for the t-bolt dimensions) on hold. Here's the first t-bolts wings...

And because i thought it might be interesting, this is how i generally plan out my scratch builds. I try to break it down into as many single pieces of plasticard as possible, both to keep it a clean build and preserve structural integrity. This is a fuselage base

Also you can see the 5th ed rulebook that im currently using as a cutting mat

FUNNY.

Yeah you say that, but it actually makes a really good cutting mat! Thick and sturdy.

Mostly, on my phone.

Nice to see someone taking on a big project like this! Having scratchbuilt a TS baneblade, I applaud your efforts. It's a hard slog but well worth it and enormously satisfying.

@dave: Yeah i figured no-one would ever want this Its actually performing double duty atm, the front makes an excellent mouse mat

@graven: Yeah its so worth it, i love scratch building.

Well here's where it was at when i went to bed, the nose is getting detail. Im building up the top of the fuselage first, then ill do the bottom and join it to the wings, before adding the engines and cowling last.

That looks perfect! Drop a few autocannons in there and you'll be golden!

6 foot underwater

All looking good Vit

Looking forward to the caestus, even though I'm not a big fan of it, as it'll be interesting to see how yours turns out when based on a slightly different concept.

The start of the t-bolt looks fine. I'm not sue I'm ever going to be able to get back into carefully marking and measuring stuff after finding my inner mek

OH-I Wanna get out of here

For your c-ram, it's actually a decent amount longer than a land raider. The passenger tubes In front of the cockpit is the same as a land raider. I can get you some better measurements if you'd like?

Great looking stuff here Vit, sorry I havn't checked in for a while. These scratch builds are very ambitious, but looking how far you've come already you seem to be flying though! (no pun intended.) I still balk at the idea of starting from nothing, I doth my cap to you! Also thumbs up for the thread's banner, looks very classy.

@Vik: Hahaha, i can see that occurring quite a lot due to young kids
