Well..I got that trophy in Until Dawn for saving everyone. So that made me happy...

So then I figured 'hey, lets go back to Bloodborne and fight Rom to see if I can take it out this time, my luck seems pretty good'. The answer? Nope. I have no idea why I cannot beat Rom, I know what I have to do but I just can't do it, apparently. It's a new play through for me, so I'm rolling with a skill based threaded cane build. It's actually been a lot better than my first character (who was all about STR and the Kirkhammer); I mean, I killed Gascoigne, Amelia, and the freaking Shadow of Yharnam on my first attempts this time. But Rom? Nope. Stupid spider. I'll get it though. Right after I beat Amygdala...

I'm looking more for a treasure room full of your loot and be able to walk around and admire your winnings, less that number in the corner is you loot

Well, sandbox building games would allow for this. If you're in a Fallout 4 kick you could literally make a room filled with guns and other valuables. A few others that come to mind are games like minecraft, terraria, and starbound (though these are hardly the only ones like this) as you can build a room, fill it with chests, and have as many valuables as you want.

These are just games I'm biased towards liking however, and allow you to horde items. I'm not sure if they would suit your needs, but I figured I should mention them.

With Minecraft, it's especially nice since you can actually plonk down blocks of gold and diamond and emeralds and stuff. Download a couple mods (like Magical Crops and something with auto-farming and auto-crafting, say) and you can literally start making things that just make wealth.

Alternatively, yeah, Dungeon-creator style games. The Epic Quest for Mighty Loot would also probably scratch that itch.

I tend to do something similar in various Bethesda games, although that comes with the risk of it despawning/glitching through the floor, ect. It does look pretty, though.

Well see the big problem with chests is... it's just a room full of chests. Yes they have valuable items in them but I wanted something that just shows my incredible wealth without having to go through a ton of chests.

Ah well. I think I'll play through NV again and hoard everything in sight

What I really wanted was something that let's you make a treasure room like what you see Smaug lazing about in

Skyrim might be good for that, if you're like me and steal everything not nailed down, you end up with a huge haul, as money has basically no value in that game.

Yeah, I have had several 80 hour FFT saves. It takes barely half that to bumrush the ending but with no play through plus feature, you'll end up grinding at the end to get your party members just so. And the deep dungeon I guess. And random battles for funsies. Of course then you're so ridiculously beyond the last string of story missions you may as well skip them and start over. This time with a themed or challenge party

Probably the only thing FFT was really missing for me was the 'start over at chapter one but at higher levels' mechanic like you find in disgaea.

Speaking of disgaea... May have to pick up d2 for steam...

I don't like hoarding things in skyrim/similar because hours of cautious placement can be botched by an accidental misstep. The physics for random dropped/placed items is wonky. Couldn't even fill a display case with copius gems without them vibrating trying to escape.

As someone else already mentioned, Dungeon Keeper. At least up until those thieving adventurers break into your dungeon and steal your gold again.

The first three Nova missions for StarCraft II are out. Took them for a brief spin tonight and played through the first two missions.

My gut feeling - already in place after playing the Protoss expansion - is that Blizzard's filling out the setting and prepping it for something in the near future. I wouldn't be surprised if there's an MMORPG announcement before long.

The Overlord games (1 and 2) are both fun, and the more gold you collect the bigger your hoard gets!

There's also a mod for Skyrim that lets you make a "museum" where you can view all of your achievements.

Arrrgh. Feth you Crystal Caves! And what is with those effing clams. For serious realz, they're harder than the boss! Dying to giant walking clams is undignified.

Rocking Havel's armour and ring and the Ring of Favour and Protection with a +11 halberd and 20 estus makes this game pretty idiot proof though. I pretty much tanked estus straight through the 4 Kings and Nito.

So, been playing Grand Theft Auto 5 since my nephews are done with it, and well...

... how the hell can anyone claim this game is somehow more subtle or well written or somehow less over the top than Saint's row 3? The brainless garbage that passes for social commentary on GTAV's radio makes even Saint's Row 4 look subtle and positively restrained by comparison.

Don't 'get me wrong, I'm actually having a good time playing the game-- it's pretty well put together, though not spectacular by any means it's a solid game. But playing it, I just find that the complaints about SR3 and 4 by GTA fans are complete and utter nonsense.

The Scaleless Dragon is probably the worst boss fight so far in Dark Souls. Really repetitive, not very scary and just plain boring. Beat him on my second try, because I didn't accidentally aggro all the clams to chase in after me.

Decided I wanted a dragon free world after that so I went and killed the Hellkite Drake in the Undead Burg, which was way harder (that insta-kill straight down breath attack is harsh). Was chuffed when I beat him. Then I went and finished the last undead dragon in the valley of the drakes by shooting him like 80 times in the head with my bow. Think I'll finish with the hydra in Ash Lake before moving on.

Oh well, one boss left before the finale - the Bed of Chaos. I've heard this is the worst designed boss in the game?

I've really enjoyed Dark Souls, but I dunno if I'll get Dark Souls 2. I'd be interested in playing Demon Souls if it was on PC, but it isn't. Still, bloody good game with some great "mechanics as metaphor for the setting" stuff going on.

Bed of Chaos is rather easy as it has very clear and big safety zones. Some memorization is necessary when the ground breaks apart.

I take it, you haven't played the DLC yet? It's awesome. Just throwing Kalameet in here...hope you like dragons ;D

Careful, though, it's possible to block yourself from entering the DLC in your playthrough. I am not kidding.

Here's how you get to the DLC:

http://darksouls.wikidot.com/additional-content

Spoiler:
Access

Accessing the Additional Content
There are two prerequisites

Kill the Crystal Golem in a cave near the Darkroot Basin Hydra to free Dusk of Oolacile. Answer "yes" when she asks whether you want her help or not. *EDIT* You do not have to answer "yes". Even if you said "no" and killed her the pendant will still drop and the portal will show up. (For the Crystal Golem to spawn in the Hydra cave, the hydra must be dead. You may also need to quit and re enter the game or leave and re enter the area.)
Place the Lordvessel in the Firelink Altar.

These two conditions will allow the Crystal Golem in The Duke's Archives to add a Broken Pendant to your inventory after it dies. You can kill the Crystal Golem before saving Dusk, but it will not give you the Broken Pendant. As long as the Broken Pendant is in your inventory, it doesn't matter whether Dusk is alive or not. She may be dead and you can still access the Additional Content.
Then, follow these steps

Go to The Duke's Archives. There will be a Crystal Golem near the elevator after the first bonfire.
Kill this Crystal Golem. A Broken Pendant will be added to your inventory automatically.
Go back to where you fought Dusk's Golden Crystal Golem in Darkroot Basin, a portal will appear there.
Examine this portal. A cutscene will trigger. After the cutscene, you will be in Sanctuary Garden.

It's worth it, the DLC is superb.

I actually didn't think GTA 5 was very good. Of course the open world they created is good but that's about it. The way you can switch between characters to avoid dying takes all the tension out of the gunfights and there's actually a button you can press to automatically pass a level if its too hard

Yeah it's...weird. I've tried both running in and going ham on Rom with beast pellets and bolt paper, and killing his/her/it's minions and THEN going ham on Rom, but neither has worked spectacularly. I think I just need to get better with dodging the arcane attacks and paying attention to the 'tells' for each so I know what to do. The spiders have to go first, I've learnt that at least. They deal a surprising amount of damage.

I hope I didn't come across as angry in my post there, I'm not, I'm just confused by this predicament. Rom is all I really have left to fight right now except for Logarius and the odd chalice dungeon run when I feel like it, and I want to advance the story but I just...can't kill Rom for some reason. I killed Amygdala on my second attempt, could probably kill Logarius after a couple more attempts, but Rom seems to elude me. It's just weird is what it is...

Beat another game of xcom 2 in commander ironman. I only lost 2 soldiers that game which in my eyes is pretty freaking impressive. I was trying for the achievement where you win the game before July 1st. I missed the mark and then stopped caring. Still managed plasma weapons in like 3 months though. It's funny how once I got back to 6 man teams the game's difficulty went down considerably. My tech being so good for most of the game I was ahead in tech and generally dispatched the enemy easily. It wasn't as much so late game as there's nothing left to tech up to but it was still pretty easy.

Hehe no worries, you didn't sound angry - You sounded like me when i'm stuck at a boss and I have absolutely zero clue as to why, as I have beaten it before. These games will do that to you - If you think that you are a master at the game, because you have killed something before, think again

Doing pretty well at Mount and Blade so far. This time, I'm trying not to spam ctr+F4 to wipe all enemies off the map.
