Thanks for all the positive comments on the PVC mistress, much appreciated.

I think a whole Slaanesh daemons army in that style (based on DE models) could look rather effective, I wont be working on it for a while though as I want to see what the rumoured new plastic greater daemons and fiends look like first.

I currently have a strong urge to do a Tau army with khorne daemons as allies, new Tau codex is out soon so I'll see what I make of the new models. I've not thought of a way to link them model/theme wise yet so any ideas would be great

In other news the new Thousand Sons Raptor squad is nearly finished, just basing left to do but you will have to wait til next weekend for those as I'm taking the forces of Nurgle out this weekend and yes the camera is packed. Doesn't mean I'll remember to take any pics though

Not much to report back from my tournament last weekend as my camera skills were beyond poor only one pic came out in focus

I think Git's might find it quite cool though as its a shot of a very cleverly converted Ork battlewagon

In other news last weekend did see the arrival of Mr Celestial Awesome from NF09 who is now proudly sitting on my shelf next to the PVC Daemonette!.

Thanks again NF09 he really does live upto his name

http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/60/379187.page#5445632

The raptors are even closer to being done just a few touch ups tomorrow and they should be ready.

Next up on my painting list is a Slaanesh terminator and I've also started work on a side project which can be found here http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/60/367392.page#5445648 A General for a WFB Empire army that I don't have!

I'm also trying to resist the urge to delve into none GW minis the Batman minis from Knight Models are very tempting and so are a few other ranges as well, we shall see though painting power armour dudes all the time is getting a bit repetitive although they do come in all colours

If you look in the top right of the pick check out the stormboyz, you can zoom in on the pic in my gallery.

Edit: This was the army which won best painted which it truly warranted.

Cool conversion, not only with the battlewagon but also the storm boyz in the background.

Great looking raptors too. You don't often see thousand son assault oriented guys, good call using BA bits.

Well I'm not dead yet more kind of Zombified at this moment in time, life is running away without me at the moment and I'm playing catch up still. Its nearly been a month since my last post and I've not got much done since then I must admit.

I have still been lurking and posting so I know what you are all up too, well maybe not the lurkers but you never know!!!

Today I have something rather different that you and myself wouldn't have expected a month ago, due to financial reasons I've had to re-evaluate my hobbies and decided that I will no longer be as involved in the 40k tournament scene in my area as I have been the last few years. It's just too expensive for me with all the projects I want to do. Its a case of painting and modelling or playing, so I chose you lot

But of course in a slightly warped way as I don't like to do things easy, it doesn't appear to be in my nature. Well I love painting my little men and gals so much but find 40k a bit limiting so I'm going to branch out but and this is the big but (no not that kind!). I'm going into the painting and selling side, I don't have anywhere to keep a large number of models so this way everyone benefits I get to paint models forever and hopefully someone might buy one I have tried a number of my older models on ebay and they sold ok.

I'm not going down the commission route as I have a full time job (and wont have the time) so I will be painting up and selling stuff so its still going to be like a hobby for me.

Well I'm going to be taking it steady with this project as I'm really tied up with work for the rest of the month but I have created a Facebook page and a website, I've even put a few models on, nothing major yet I need to see what I've got so next month you might start seeing some CSM models going up. The Dark Wolves will be going straight up to ebay tomorrow I think if I have time.

I have no idea how to use FB but this is what I have so far the shops linked into my website shop so there wont be any stock issues. There wont be any updates until next month all being well when I get time to kick things off. Some hints on what you expect from me on FB will be useful

Let me know what you think, have I lost the plot or do you think I can pull it off.

IRL can really screw up hobby time. Your stuff is worth waiting for. Still subbed, always will be.

Thanks all

Well I actually have a free weekend which was unexpected as I was supposed to be working. So a few things, first I've decided to merge all my threads into this one to make it easier to follow. A bit of cross posting to tie everything up, the last of my minis from the other blogs that I've finished are below.

Asmodai

Infinity - PanOceana - Hexas

I've started some work on a WFB Empire general model, its a kind of a fill in while I'm waiting for other models to dry this is a slightly older picture. I'll get some new pics over the weekend so you can see the full model.

Back to where I am now just finished the fifth member of my Emperors Children terminator squad. She was quite fun after not painting for ages. I'm still a squad (Havoc Squad) short for the tournament in June I signed up for ages ago so I'm not sure how I'm going to get round it I could redo my army list but it took ages for me to decide on it in the first place or pick up the minis from Anvil Industries instead of Forge World which might make the squad affordable, hmm we shall see.

Something else which I'll be starting on tomorrow, blame Graven for this one.

Alfred the Great from the Saga game, I expect he will find his way on ebay or my site to sell once he's painted as I have no need for him but thought it would be an interesting mini to paint.

Looking at the pic in preview mode he looks like a bearded disco diva from the Medieval Ages He has a separate sword and shield .

I'm kind of trying out different model ranges at the moment to see if there's any particular range people would buy painted. I want to try some Dropzone Commander Shaltari as they look like a challenge at some point.

I really need to improve my pictures but I cant do much for that until I can afford a new camera I'm afraid.

Thanks Nash I think the super blog is the way forward, it makes it a lot easier for me to put all my work in one blog.

Theophony wrote:Really great work on the emperors children terminators, what sort of havoc are you looking for?

Cheers I'm going to go for a four lascannon squad, I have some Thousand Sons bits floating round so I should be ok to pick up some Lascannons and make them fit

-----------------------------------

Here's my work from yesterday I finished my test Dragon Warrior please let me know what you think especially in regards to the scales on the armour as they were a pain a full allied detachment should look quite good though all with cloaks of course. For some reason the scales don't come out great in the photos, they look very washed out.

I've done some work on Alfred as well mostly painting his cloak, hopefully I'll have some time to work on him today.

You'll have to ignore the snail in the pics, you will be seeing a lot more of him in the future

I was lucky enough to sell some things on ebay so I should have a paint drop in the next few days with some much needed new brushes and glue!

The scales look ok but like you said it's probably just the photos so I'm sure they look good in person
The only problem I see is doing it across an army. Could cause a nightmare or two. Other than that keep up the good work
