Right or wrong, the longer the delays on this one, the less enthusiastic I become, and the more of my available gaming budget gets spent elsewhere.

Additionally, my confidence in their ability to come anywhere close to whatever delivery date they pick gets lower as well.
Oh yes, when they asked for feedback I told them just that they need to really adhere to their set dates and for the love of feth not to kick off another project (they had planned three in rapid succession after all..) until they wrapped up the first campaign, citing the mess of Blackwater Gulch as the big example here on how to not do it IMHO.

Maybe they should have just stuck with a less ambitious KS to begin with that they could have actually started in Feb.
(Like say, just the character models that would form the "necromunda-esque" warbands everyone thought was coming originally anyway)

And then followed it up with all these grand planned armies/etc in a separate KS later this year.
I rather disagree. When the KS launches, the momentum will pick up. They want this to be successful, and people are looking at it even before prices have been announced and models have been revealed.

Many miniatures Kickstarters nowadays seem to be shooting for the $400,000-ish 'success' point with anything less being okay for smaller projects or niche appeal.

If they had gone the route of characters only, they would have probably made along the lines of Bombshell Babes's recent venture into $140k. By adding tons of grunts and nameless soldiers, they're going for the more ambitious sweet spot of $400+ "success".

The three factions was a surprise. But I think a character only, while beautiful sculpts, would be a rather boring lackluster KS.

There is a fine line between the point of being so small and specific that the appeal is too small to get off the ground and a small beautique style range.

They are obviously wanting to not just settle for beautique range of characters. IMO they have the concepts and feel to have a good range. And I'm glad they took some time pre KS to get their ducks in a row instead of jumping into a KS and drowning.

There is a word for a wargamer with an empty paint bench.

Dead.

Sorry boss, I can't come to the meeting at 11. Why? I don't want to miss getting an Early Bird pledge.

Calendar marked. Being 12 hours ahead of the US can be both a blessing and a curse. Thankfully 11 PM is a fine time to pledge! Thank FSM I don't live day to do after a couple big mini orders, can still fork out for this.

1.) I love the rocketeer chick, but I think I'd like her better with a jetpack, and maybe little wings.

2.) Excited as I am about this, I wonder if it's going to be months of excuses, broken promises, and vague nonsense after the kickstarter ends and we're in the shipping phase. When comments are like "hey, it's now July 2014, where's my stuff" will they respond with a countdown timer that then unlocks a drawing of a cardboard box? We'll find out!

It could go either way, I am curious as to whether or not this drop ship program will work and how much of a delay in getting our stuff there will be if they want our pledges to coincide with events at the store.

I think anyone backing this one needs to be aware upfront that whatever delivery date they offer, the figures will be significantly delayed from it. This is RH, after all. Unlike AoW, these guys do deliver, though, and even update.
