I thought it was good. My main criticism is that it suffers some pacing problems, i.e. it could be much snappier, we shouldn't be spending too long watching Twilight mixing chemicals or doing those tests on RD.

That was something easy to see. I think it wasn't bad, necessarily- it was certainly different though, and there were a lot of places where it could have been 'shortened'. You could definitely tell it was a student's work instead of something made specifically for television- a lot of those pauses and extended scenes were situations where it was clear they were showcasing certain actions, or the fluidity of the animation or whatever, and I think a lot of it was the director's reluctance to have more than one major action happening at once.

Did anyone see the first episode in Japanese? It was actually pretty good. I enjoyed the Japanese dub of the show and the Opening and Ending were enjoyable too. Its just odd to see MLP be so anime.

Greetings fellow bronies/likers of MLP:FiM. Just recently joined and wanted to pop in to say hi.
Although a bit late, I would like to state that I thought the Double Rainboom was rather lacking in proper storytelling, several of the references felt forced, and characters that felt out of character to me. Besides that though, for a project made by a group of students and young adults... I felt it was rather impressive. (and Twilight is be*Shot for heresy*)
Heyya fellow bronies and fillies, I have been lurking in the shadows of this thread for bout a month. Just wanted to say hey to everyone. Also did anyone watch Snowdrop by Silly Filly Studios, what are your opinions of the animation.
I think it was well done, with quite a heart touching story line. The animation is very good imho. One of my most favourite fan made episodes out there

I watched it too and I really enjoyed it. Now that I think about it I find it funny that I found Double Rainboom to be very meh, while Snowdrop was awesome!
