Love the paint scheme on these so far, plus they look really uniformed, the models go really well as a group.

Thanks for the support guys.

hk1x1: Thanks for commenting. Like I stated earlier, theme is the most difficult thing for me. I'm not trying to win any GD contest just get a good looking Table top playable army.

(Original) Theme is tough for somone who paints mostly marines!

Glad you like them!

Some more progress. The pics are a bit blurry and bright . Quick camera phone shot. Working on the “fins” and the alt tesla option underneath. Then put some arms on these guys and a bit more drybrushing and on to the other 2.

Mostly, on my phone.

Loving your colour scheme here. I could stand to see a little more of the orange spot colour, though.

All the Barges now finished..

12 Finished warriors ( I not sure what rods I’ll use )

Some Immortals WIP

Once finished I'll move on to the Deathmarks and I'm thinking of doing a conversion for my HQ.. A female Overlord.

Are you going to do anything to the bases?

Those are looking really good SL. I am also curious how you're going to handle the bases...

Nothing till I get the display figured out. The Grey is just a neutral color. I will need to weight the back of the Barges they are not balanced at all. The warriors need weights as well.

I think Galorn was trying to get you to think of the history of your army. Is it a newly awakened army? Or has it been up awhile? Did it wake up because of the alarm clock or because the mechanicus was playing with some tech on a lost world that turned out to be their doorbell? If you can answer some of these in a short one page story then it will help you decide on your base and display board.

As for me... I think they look great.

Thanks Theo.... I'm from a few generations back so this is probably not the only thing that will confuse me.

This is an Adepticon Army, a Quarter of it at least. .My other teammates are building a suitable Xenos army. WF with his Tau, Yellowbeard; Eldar and Git playing his excellent and infamous Necrons. ( or at least till a new Ork codex comes out )

As for story ... I plan on basing it on Anrakyr the Traveller story line.. The only change is that I plan to build a Female Necron Overloard Called Anksuna, the Night Queen. I plan to kitbash
some Warmachine stuff with GW to do a unique character. She was a member of the SIlent Kings court and her plan is to awaken tombs in order to build a vast army to seach and return the SIlent King Szarekh to the head and reunite all the Dynasties.

In reality I don't plan to build this army to a massive size. Just enough to give me the chance to play something else. Most likly no more than 1800 pts.

Thanks CL. I collect more than play, but when I do I like to have multiple army choices. So far My Lamenters are the most numerous. Besides Necrons I plan to have about the same points in Orks, Nids, Chaos SM's and IG. This should give me plenty to paint and all the variety to keep it fun and interesting.

Immortals finished. My temporary Overlord and Cryptek are also done.

I'll replace the overlord with a Kitbashed one later. The Cryptek is finecast and I seriously hate the poor quality. Still it what there is.

Looking great, S_L ! The scheme looks as strking on vehicles as on the infantry"men" !!

Your Overlord also looks nice as is, why do you plan on changing it ?

Thanks, I was worried it would look too cartoon(y). But it has grown on me.

Just goes to show me that you guys are picture stimulated! I had always planned on doing something different with my Overlord, This guy will allow me to have a playtest figure. One of the few options I have to make course corrections to my list would be in the HQ range. Destroyer lord, or foot Overlord. My overlord is based on Anrakyr the Traveller.

I mentioned the reason earlier..."I plan to build a Female Necron Overloard Called Anksuna, the Night Queen. I plan to kitbash
some Warmachine stuff with GW to do a unique character. She was a member of the SIlent Kings court and her plan is to awaken tombs in order to build a vast army to seach and return the SIlent King Szarekh to the head and reunite all the Dynasties."

On a side note I'm about finished with my AC list. Only thing that has to be done is the 5 remaining Deathmarks. They are about 80% done. After that It's all extras. Tomb blades, Monolith, wraiths (3), 2 tomb spyders, lynchgurad, Stalker and a mess of Scarabs.

Hopefully by the end of the week I'll get some pics of the deathmarks followed by an Army shot!

Oh yeah, there I did it again...

I swear I DID read that sentence before... It just didn't connect with the rest of the frame in my mind

And I ALMOST commented about that "Night Queen" concept that I thought was really great, but something got in the way... Must be my damn pills lol...

I am loving this color scheme, SL!
Black and white play off each other very well, and the neon green you use plays perfectly with both of them! The red eyes were a great choice as well, and the cryptek's eye shows time well spent

Geez.... so you're almost done! I gotta get my butt moving if I'm gonna finish my army this year!
