Thanks! I have some new stuff I can't wait to get to work on.
One of my side-projects, is going to be turning my Failed Khorne-themed Warptalons (I gave the old Berzerker models winged backpacks, not sure if I ever showed pictures) into Tzeentch Screamers. Not the whole model, just the backpack with gargoyle wings. I think adding some GS to the backpack, making a mouth and a tail should do nicely. I'll post before pics when I get home in a week or so.
I have about a dozen half-started projects I really need to find time to work on...not sure when I'll find time.
Thanks guys for the encouragement! Hopefully there will be more progress and stuff to look at soon! around a week and a half....give of take.
RSJake

Cheers guys! I have been doing a lot of thinking lately.
And it has a whole lot to do with the new Ork Codex coming out soon.
I really REALLY want to start an Ork army!
If I did this, I would have to get rid of my Daemons and CSM first. (Wife will only let me have so many little army men. )I just don't know if I could let them go. I have put so much work into them, and I have so much more work to do on them!
I am torn.
Help me out guys. What do you think I should do?

Mwahahahaha!
Remember, there's now the Unbound stuff. You can just model whatever you want and still play it (if you play). If you really need to get rid of some models to get new ones, sell the less-converted ones and keep your 'babies'.

OK, since the PONY is finally done, I am going in a different direction work-wise.
I still have some projects for Emperor Bacon to finish, mostly because he paid me up front.
(I am not taking any more commissions, just FYI.)
(But I still have some projects besides his I want to finish.)
Anyway, I am going to be making arms and legs and rifles for Fantasy Dwarves and some for Squats! Yay! We'll see how it comes out.
That is, aside from other random projects.
A while back I started working on some Nurgle Plague Zombies. I sculpted some quite a while ago, those will be used, and sprinkled in with the rest, but it was taking too long to make the resin casts.
Then I found these small medieval warriors from Hoard-O-Bits on ebay, I forget what they were called, but they looked great!
They are kind of awkward models, thier necks are WAY too long, so they need to be trimmed quite a bit, but that never scared me!
The original models came with melee weapons I'm sure, I didn't get those, just the figures and the heads and arms.
I will need to do some sculpting of damage, and wounds and such, and a lot of the zombie feel will come with paint.
But I really like the way they turned out.
Here is the torso and legs glued to a 40k base.
I'll have to build the base up a bit to hide the "army guy" foot-base-thing...
Here they are with heads attached:
And a good-sized group with arms attached:
Some of them have open hands, so I might give them sticks or something to hold on to.
So, what do you think?
Thanks for stopping by,
RSJake

Have you tried an older version? Try a 2.4 version to start with, I think. I've noticed that 2.6 really chugs on my older comp, while 2.4 runs smooth as, uh, something that's really smooth.

Not sure what I am to be PM'ing you LDD, when I'm done with the Special Weapons? It'll be a while. My laptop is not really powerful enough to run Blander properly, so I'll have to get my full sized comp up and running again. It had XP re-installed not long ago and hasn't been turned on yet, so I think I'll keep it off of the internet forever now. Just so it doesn't bug-up again.
In other news, I have been working on some new projects, but will wait to post about them until I'm at work and have some spare time.

Maybe not such a good idea. Whew!
Hey guys! I told you a while ago about my wish to make some Tzeentch Screamers from my converted Warp Talons. I have worked on a few of them, I got some pics. Let me know what you think.
Here is what the Khorne Themed Warp Talons looked like:
I think they would have worked well if the Warp Talons were a bit tougher. I was not impressed.
And here is 1 of the 9 I have planned. It's still WIP, like all of my stuff, but you can see where it is heading:
Basically just teeth and wings.
I have others that I have been working on too, but I didn't take pictures of them. Soon.
I also have been working on Dwarf parts, like I mentioned earlier. Those I am going to post in a new dedicated Blog. I'll post the link here when I get that up and running.
As always, thanks for stopping by,
RSJake

Thanks guys!
Well, it seems like it's been a long time!
Plague butterflies? That's a cool idea!
Not cyborgs per say, more like possessed backpacks that took on a life of their own. I also had an idea to make small speeder bikes for chaos cultists to count as screamers, but I didn't go that route.
I have still yet to play a game of 7th Edition, but I have a lot of daemons ready to be summoned when I do! (I only play with people who allow me to bring my gray wall of unpainted death!)

Hi there!
I am back at it. Mostly on my other thread. It's dedicated to Chaos, and Khorne Daemonkin in particular!
http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/810/338802.page
Take a look if you want to see what I've been up to lately!
I came back to this thread though, because I have a couple of Rogue Trader minis I'm trying to identify.
Now this guy is very Nurgle-y, but he doesn't have a backpack stud, is he WH Fantasy? Do/did Fantasy Chaos have guns?
I guess he could pass for a cultist heavy stubber now, he's kind of on the scrawny side.
And this guy, kind of silly, but where does he belong? Khorne? Slaanesh? Just vanilla Chaos Marine?
Not sure where this guy would fit into my current army, if anywhere, but I kind of like him.
Anyway, and help identifying these guys would be appreciated.
Thanks,
RSJake
